My husband and I wanted to try out our new RV last week so we headed up to Thousand trails for a few night. We can tell they are under new management and the staff are very friendly.I will add the hours for the store should be every day. The 2 full days we were there Tuesday and Wednesday it was closed. We found a beautiful site for our RV in X. We usually stay in section G or H but they were working on something up in H.The lake is full and fish is stocked. We could swim and kayak. The Pool was closed for some reason but they’re doing a re grand opening the first part of May and the pool will be opened for that. The lodge has great WiFi and cell reception 😀.We enjoyed the tennis courts and they also have a volleyball court but it needs sand after all the rain we’ve had up there.Beautiful hiking trails and loved finding new ones. Our families been a member for over 40-45 years back when it was “Royal Pines”, “Lake of the springs” “Thousand trails”. We just love that this beautiful camping resort that is so close to home.

We had a great experience this past weekend. The lake is full again, although they are still working on getting the ramp fixed and the lake stocked with fish. Also it seems like there's a lot of improvements going on. A fountain was running. There's renovations in the lodge. We also had a great experience with Lyra who helped us sort out our reservations.

My husband and I just love Thousand Trails Lake of the Springs campground in Oregon House, CA. The entrance is on an elevated position, and the camping spots are along the road leading down the hill to the lake at the bottom. This means you have camping areas on different elevations, so they tend to feel and look different from each other. They also have different amenities as well. The best cell is generally closer to the top, but D section has good service in many areas. Very family-friendly, playground equipment is available along with basketball, volleyball, and shuffleboard. Music and other activities on weekends, candy bar bingo, and more. Come join the fun!

Fantastic campground. When we pulled in, an employee in a golf cart saw us driving around looking for a spot and helped us find a suitable spot with the best internet access. That's the first time anyone's done that for us at any TT property. We were in section D--great T-Mobile internet access there. Despite some really strong storms (the campround was under a blizzard warning for 2-3 days) power was on the entire time.We had to stay a few extra days because of a blizzard and the staff was nice enough to let us extend our stay at retail rates for a few days until the storm passed. The convenience store on the property was also well stocked and the person working there was nice.Really impressed with how well run everything was. A shout out to the woman with the lime green SUV that worked at the gate. She was really helpful and friendly.I hope TT corporate models management of their other parks after the group running Lake of the Springs.

One of our favorite Thousand Trails parks! Typical of TT there are some bigger and some smaller sites, all 30amp, some FHU, some shaded and a few with mostly full sunshine. Gravel, mostly level pads, paved access roads and all are fairly large and easy to maneuver. Views of the mountains around you and in the distance, as far as Sutter Butte. Wicked friendly staff and wildlife, clean park and mostly well maintained. Great onsite store with propane as well (Saturday only).Very steep access roads, most sites are on the side of a hill.Decent to great Starlink service.Little to no cell service outside of D and I sections.Lake is being refilled and should be full for summer 2024.No package delivery available at all.Honey cart services available but only on Thursday and it's $$Be sure to check out both Nevada City and Oroville, and only 2 hours to Lake Tahoe and Donners Pass.Plenty of quiet places to take a nice walk around the park.

We rolled into Thousand Trails Lake of the Springs, and right away we felt welcome. The staff were really friendly, and our RV spot was pretty nice. It had a good amount of space and was surrounded by trees, which was cool because we got some shade and a bit of sunshine too. There was plenty to do - we went hiking and played volleyball, and the kids had a blast with all the activities they had lined up for them. It was a bit of a bummer that the lake was closed because of the drought, but the staff did a good job of making sure there were other things to do.That being said, the place could use a bit of a spruce-up. The landscaping needs a bit of work and we had a couple of times when the power and water were iffy. But all in all, it wasn't a deal-breaker.The location is great. It's peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle, but still close enough to a few restaurants and attractions if you want to go out for the day.So, yeah, Thousand Trails Lake of the Springs is a pretty good spot for camping. There are a few things they could do better, but we had a good time. We're looking forward to seeing what improvements they make next time we visit.

Boat docks removed, pool use to open by Easter, and still closed. Patio by house pits is gone and have very limited service hours.Nearby activities: Collins Lake still has the best ice cream.

Really nice campground staff is very helpful I'm people are pretty friendly and the store prices here aren't really that bad as per the other campgrounds we've been to enjoyed staying here when definitely come I would recommend this campground to anyone the only bummer while we were there was the lake was drained and damn was being repaired so I didn't get the fish it's supposed to be done in November but I don't foresee that happening

I just wanted to give a current review of Lake of the Springs. The lake has been drained. We were told that it might be a year before it is functioning again, they are doing repairs on the dam and had to relocate fish and drain the lake. We were there Mother’s Day weekend and the swimming pool is also drained. Of course we still had a wonderful time. The campgrounds are clean, restrooms, clean Just wanted to give people a heads up that planned on using the water features.

I have been coming to L.O.T.S. For over 25 years. It had been a few years since my last visit and wanted to bring my Wife and child here for the first time to share with them the wonderful place I had made so many fond memories as a child with my grandparents and family. However I was EXTREMELY saddened to see the state of things.I reminisced the nights playing shuffle board with my grandfather while looking at how the surface of the court would no longer allow for a proper game to be played. The lake that I used to go fishing with my father is fenced off and drained. The boat dock pulled out and sits on the boat ramp. The mini golf course is unrecognizable. I attempted to hike the trail along the edge of the lake only to find it was severely overgrown. The store is only open 3 days a week. It seems they are short staffed here and I only spoke to a staff member named Jenny who I can only assume runs it by herself. The resort has fallen in disrepair. Someone needs to take action and invest the money and time into getting this place fixed ASAP.Our trip was cut short due to the status of the resort and we left after 2 days.

The campsite itself is in a nice setting, and the person at the entrance / check in was very nice - which truly is the only reason for the 3 star review (otherwise it would have been lower). All of the amenities in terms of things to do at the campground are in a state of total disrepair and neglect. The lake is closed, and completely fenced off (unusable). Saw signs about quicksand. The mini golf course is trashed. The shuffleboard and horseshoe areas are totally ill maintained. The basketball court surface is destroyed, and only one side even has a hoop. The bathrooms near the children's playground had the water shut off and the toilets were left with the remnants of people who had used them anyway - pretty disgusting honestly. Many sites were out of order with the power box covered. The pool was not open and neither was the clubhouse. Everything basically felt like it was abandoned. It had been nice years ago when it was built, but it seems like no maintenance has taken place since. So, honestly, this is a fine getaway as long as you want to look at the trees and stay at your campsite. Otherwise, don't expect to enjoy the "amenities". It really is a shame as this place has so much potential.

Had such a blast for my first time camping. Everyone is so friendly!Bathrooms are clean as well as the camp grounds. The lake was awesome and room for everyone. There was plenty to do not once getting bored. The deers were a delight and just the atmosphere was great. I love the first come first serve as it gives everyone a chance to have a good spot for their camping needs and experience.I would definitely recommend going there and checking this place out. I'm glad I didn't go off of the reviews of this place and came for myself to check it out.Extra kudos to Jenny, Steve , and Chelsea at L.O.T.S. they were amazing and kind individuals and made our experience so much greater.

A wonderful and peaceful park. Everybody was super friendly. It's like 2 different resorts, if you stay up top you have 5G reception, and Internet. The lower campgrounds do not have any coverage. I preferred this as I was looking for peace and quiet, yet if desired, access to my phone and internet was just a couple minutes away. I had a very enjoyable stay here. Thanks to the staff, you've done a great job here.

Used to be our favorite 1000 Trails...Very disappointed. Pool was closed 3 days. We got 3 different stories why it was closed. Park was so crowded. G section has no electric and is a tent area now. Big groups being allowed in with no memberships. Many tents in one Campsite with way too many people in one site. People in the pool fully clothed. Rangers aren't patrolling like years ago. Lots of monkey business going on.

This Thousand Trails Campground offers a very different camping experience than the dozen other Thousand Trails Campground’s I’ve been to so far.Upon arriving I decided to set up camp in section A. Section A, is extremely shaded and although quiet during the week, it kind of turns into a huge block party of sorts over the weekend. On Saturday evenings there are concerts in the grassy area adjacent to this section. The band selections seem to be great and play three hours of enjoyable tunes. For first time visitors like I was, Here is how I breakdown the campground which may help you get to the right camp site.Section A: If you are very social and like to party this is your section. Party on.Section H and the upper part of section G:If you like to sit outside your RV and sip morning coffee while listening to nature and taking in the quiet surroundings then this is your section.Section D & I: If you must have access to mobile devices these two sections are your best choice.Section B: Offers the best cabins.Section X: Forget it.The campground offers a nice lodge that has a 1970s vibe which overlooks a very scenic lake. Rentals are available for various lake activities. An on site store, ice cream shop and laundry are near the lodge. My sincere suggestion to the management of this campground; Please resolve the maintenance issues in section G. Many of these sites have been converted from an RV site to tent site due to unresolved maintenance issues. However I found many of the sites in this section offer $1 million views for camping in an RV. I would even suggest converting to premium sites. I feel they would be much sought after by campers with RVs. It’s an opportunity that shouldn’t be missed.

Great for kids. The playground is entertaining, the ice cream on the weekends is a hit and the lake is always pretty warm. Deer roam the campground all times of the year, letting you feed them from your hand.

My parents bought into the Thousand Trails (TT) membership decades ago when LOTS of new. Since then LOTS has few availabilities for TT members and plenty of availability for Anyone off the street, who they then sell TT memberships to. However, in my years of observation, I have noticed TT does not put any money back into LOTS and is building another camping membership site. The end result is 30% of the sites no longer have power, most of the infrastructure is failing, the pool is never open, etc. It is sad to see a family favorite vacation resort self destruct. If you do camp here bring a volt meter, I observed the voltage dropping to 98 VAC (bad thing). On the good side the trees are nice and the spaces are spaced well.

We joined some friends who are regulars at this campground. We had never been there before and they invited us for their yearly outing. It was a bit of a drive for us (about 5 and 1/2 hours away) But we had such a wonderful experience We are looking forward to coming back. I was impressed with the two ladies that clean the bathroom everyday and how friendly and upbeat they were despite the fact that the bathrooms were totally thrashed by the campers overnight. The swimming beach is awesome for all ages. There's tons of activities and cool things to do and it's just overall a really cool property. I also highly appreciate the fact that there is a noise curfew and at a certain time you can easily sleep in a tent without a whole bunch of people yelling and partying like we often encounter at other campgrounds. It's a really cool place and we highly recommend it

We enjoyed our stay at Lake of the Springs. The campground is well taken care of and its beautiful! We stayed in section G. It had tons of trees and shade, each spot was spaced out, there were awesome rocks for the kids to climb on, and the lake was fantastic! Our family had so much fun playing at the beach and taking our raft out.My only complaint is the laundry. There is only 1 facility for the whole campground and for some reason it does not stay open and the hours were very limited

Barbecue pits full from the last few campers they should’ve been cleaned out after each camperThe trailer sites were unlevelOverall poorly maintained throughoutThe main house it was open there was no fire no music no TV kind of a dreadful place no lightsThe store was closedThe pool was closedThings seemed in disrepair and at $75 per night I would think they would be pretty damn clean and tidy and open and electrical boxes working instead of changing them into 10 sites. If you figure $75 a night for trailer times 30 days equals $2250 a month that’s pretty damn steep for what you get and we got nothing no pool even the miniature golf course was closed and in disrepair we went in October with a large Group we found sites but after being there I understand why it wasn’t very crowded. The staff at the gate were very friendly with directions and a map and that’s where we saw our last staff memberHappy camping

Came and visited for a week in our trailer. We had a great time. The lake is clean, good fun and fishing. The staff is friendly, nice and helpful. All spots have electrical and water hookup. Only a few select sites have sewer as well. Don't expect to get a full hookup site. General store has ice cream. You can ride your bikes everywhere. Bathrooms and showers are super clean. A lot of wildlife including deer, foxes, turkeys. Also plant life as well including poison oak, so be careful. The dog beach is great for your dogs to go splash in the water.

Awesome place in general. We booked a spot for our RV, even though we reserved it, it is still on first come first served basis, which was interesting, but made no difference in general, since they were not fully booked so we had few sites to chose from. Full hook up sites seem a bit more rare, so make sure you can go without if needed. That said, there is a dumping station available.Electricity did not work at all sites, we were warned in advance to check the socket first before we park our rig.All the little things to the site, this park is wonderful. Clean, quiet, with access to a beautiful lake, and plenty wildlife to enjoy. We would definitely come back, no question.

Our first Thousand Trails RV experience. The staff was friendly and we had a nice stay. We liked that we drove through and selected any open site we liked. Since we weren’t members we didn’t have access to the section with sewer hook ups. There were only a few in the other sections and those were mostly taken. Nice dump stations on the way out made this no issue. The overall location was a bit run down and probably was beautiful at one time. Our site had some minor trash strewn about. We saw that no employee ever came to check or clean sites when people came and went. The bathrooms were by far the worst we’ve ever experienced at an RV park. It was basically a State Park bathroom with 2 showers added. No bench in the shower and a just a shower curtain on a bent rod. It had sand or dirt on the floor. Most of the recreation areas were closed due to Covid. I’m guessing the pool has been shut down for a while since it was green and the facilities looked well worn. Lake Mildred was a reason we came, but after looking at it and finding out they charged you $6 to fish, we chose to drive to Collins Lake up the road and paid $5 to park. Like previously mentioned we still enjoyed our stay.

Peaceful place to camp. Quite a large campground with many sites. Very quiet and mellow. We stayed in G section. Water and electric only site was fine for 3 nights. Was able to get enough cell service to send and receive text but no internet but we were happy to be mostly disconnected. The lake was clean and cool and perfect for swimming. Laundry rooms were busy but clean and took credit card payments. Bathouse in the section was very clean and had plenty of hot water. The deer roam freely and came within 20 feet of our site. Dump station did the job when we left. Would definitely visit again.
