Why one star?1) They don't answer the phone. Some items are rarely in stock so I'd like to be able to call on their weekly delivery day to see if what I'm after is in stock... but the phone will ring forever, then get picked up, then hung up on. Someone is going out of their way to NOT help.2) If you call corporate support, which is someone in the Philippines that has no idea what's going on with Petco, they too cannot reach the store.3) They need to pay closer attention to their fish - it should not be the customer pointing out sick fish that are swimming upside down and dead fish stuck at an intake line that has been there long enough to be surrounded with a hue of bacteria.4) They give conflicting information.5) They argue. For example, I asked for Solid Gold brand, one of the employees said there is no such brand that exists and he knows because he's worked there for a long time. Then when I describe it in more detail, including the flavor I'm after, then he gets the name of the flavor confused with the brand name and thinks that the flavor name is the brand name. He's wrong but refuses to admit because he's been there for "a long time" as if that matters.

Zack did a great job grooming my dog! He was very gentle and careful as my pup does not like to have a haircut. I’m really pleased with everything Zack did!

Our newly adopted dog needed his nails trimmed. We went to Petco and we couldn't have had a more welcoming and efficient experience. She checked the rabies status for our pet and explain the procedure of which we were able to view. Because our pet is only two days old to us I knew this might be a intimidating procedure. She cuddled him and spoke with him and all went extremely well and the value was much less than our veterinarian care

recently I purchased a cat here who came with the name Tezcatlipoca which at first I thought was pretty cool and unique. When I got home I did some research and found out the name translated to 'god of Hell.' This made me feel uneasy but I chose to ignore it and go on with my life. The day after I bought the cat, I took it for a walk in the woods and saw unspeakable things. It were as if I was living in a nightmare, but this nightmare seemed to never end.A figure appeared from the shadows of the trees to warn me something was coming... I was scared and didn't know what to expect. Shortly after, I couldn't believe my eyes... I'm sure you think this is some sick joke, but below I've left you with some photos... Let them do the talking.

I had a really great experience getting my two dogs groomed at this location. They were very professional, thoughtful and followed directions. To too it off, my pups were not stressed out when I came to pick them up. I'll definitely come back!

Took my my furry baby for a bath and nail trim and they did a horrible job. This place hires teenagers that do lousy jobs! My dog was stinky I have no idea what they put In her that made her smell worst than when I took her in .NEVER GOING BACK! Will not recommend this place. Don't waste your money!

Frozen Dog food has thawed prior to putting in the freezer again, the bites solidified into a brick after being refrozen, no other stores are like this. Only 2 people working the entire store, both with bad attitudes, I waited 20 minutes to check out when there was no one in the store or the cashier is talking about the Hollidays while your standing there with frozen bags of food. this is the worst PETCO I've been too!

The selection is horrible but there was a very nice employee she helped me out wen5 to buy crickets the 1 thing I found with crickets in the reptile section half the crickets were dead. The employee then said they have crickets they sell individually so bought live crickets but there was no signage about selling crickets via the bulk type

If your an animal lover you gotta love Petco. They have it all! Great selection of Gourmet food for Cats & Dogs or more basic affordable foods. Something for everyone's budget.The selection of reptiles and fish is awesome, even if your just browsing.Of course there's food for everyone tool.And of course collars, dog clothes,toys, aquarium supplies and decorations, cat climbing racks, kennels... You name it Petco has it!Don't forget the "Dog Training Park", the "Wellness" and "Grooming" Centers. It TRULY is one stop shopping.The service is always great and knowledgeable. You'll always find someone that knows what you need.

It pains me to see the betta fish in plastic tubs of stale water, waiting to die. It's cruel, mean, and PetCo can do better. They can be displayed in tanks with dividers, no big technology required. This visit a few were dead. At least their horrible lives were ended, but it made me sick to my stomach. I try to avoid looking at the bettas in their sad tubs of stale water. I'll get my supplies elsewhere because I find it too upsetting to see animal cruelty. I value my fish's lives and would never do such a thing to them.

Thank you Petco! As a first time dog owner they helped me get some tips on how or what to do if the dog misbehaves and how to treat my dog. I’m so happy how they provided a list of everything for me to use with my new dog! I almost forgot to buy him a bed lol but thanks to the staff there my doggie has a great bed to sleep on. So grateful! Will continue to return to this store!

Horrible service in the fish section!The worse customer service I've ever experienced in my life specifically the fish section the sales associate will ignore you. Literally stopped going here 3 years for this reason. Decided that I would give them another chance since they had the fish I wanted. Patiently waited for associate to finish helping another customer in that section. Kayla was her name she returned to the fish section and I requested if she could help me get the fish i wanted. Her response "can you please give me 20 minutes I'm covering". Ok fine they looked short staffed and waited. Long and behold 20 minutes later Kayla is no where to be found even after asking another associate to page someone to fish section. Don't waste your time or money even if you're in a bind. This store will just raise your blood pressure and leave you absolutely frustrated

This is the only Petco around that has marine aquatic animals, albeit not the healthiest looking ones. The prices of the marine animals are quite high compared to other marine shops. They have a decent selection of freshwater fish. All in all the story is clean and the staff is nice, but I would not recommend this place for purchasing marine animals.

Took my dog to get groomed here and it was pricey considering the haircut was ok at best, but my real issue is that my dog got fleas from being here. I got worried his allergies were just acting up because he was scratching and biting himself raw, but then I gave him a bath and found fleas in his fur. The last time he had fleas was over 4 years ago and he had no fleas when we took him in.

This Petco is very convenient, but they always seem short staffed. The employees do a great job taking care of customers, nonetheless. I appreciate that they are always friendly even when checkout lines are long and everyone in line looks grumpy and impatient.

Groomers are kind and caring but seem overwhelmed both at this location and the Brea location (no fault of their own. Support them better, Petco). I had the last straw with this place yesterday after they failed to update my listed phone number for the 3rd time, were unable to reach me until I showed up to my appointment where I was told it was cancelled. I have found a much more reliable groomer with better pricing.

Quick stop for annual vaccinations for our dogs. Make an appointment online and you're in and out in 10 minutes of less. The dogs always enjoy getting a treat from the cookie bar when they visit.
