Oven didn't work. We got just 3 pans, not enough pans to cook properly. They complained and ordered us to stop when we used their cheap sponge to wash the car window. This means they use the same sponge for multiple guests...House was very old as well and tv in the bedroom didn't work due to not having an Internet connection.View outside is nice though.

EXCELLENT service!!! Food was great and Heather was super welcoming! We stayed in a teepee and it was very cozy and charming. We had drove from Las Vegas, through Death Valley and this place was exactly what we needed after a few days in crazy land (the vegas strip). 10/10 recommend for anyone that's into the camping vibe. Thanks for everything!

First things first don’t come here expecting a 5 star hotel. This place is not for picky people. This charming place has some really cool tipi rooms but bring plenty of extra blankets if you come during winter. Erik was an absolute great host. Breakfast and dinner at the cafe was delicious. This place has 2 shared full bathrooms. It’s about 2 hours from mammoth. Pet friendly.Nearby activities: Alabama hills about 30 min away. Crab cooker hot springs about 2 hours.Food & drinks: The cafe has a nice selection of food options including beyond products for vegetarians. Good selection of canned and bottled beers. Solid food.

We rented a spot for 2 nights during our Death Valley trip, for camping in our 🚙. It was decently priced and one of the bathrooms was clean (other one needed attention). Staff were very friendly and they were about to accommodate us without any reservation and we arrived pretty late in the night. Views are amazing on the rear side of the property. Overall it was a nice place to camp for the night and continue on our trip during the day, a very country side experience.I’d recommend them to add electric chargers though, it might be easy to get that given that they already have electrical hookups for RVs.Breakfast was great, found more than a few vegetarian options. Their hot salsa and pico de gallo were fresh and amazing.

This is a really interesting place... although I'd call the experience camping, rather than hoteling. The tipi is the point. I've never camped in a tipi before and I loved the spaciousness and the old west decor of the entire place. There is a modern swamp cooler and a mini fridge, a ceiling fan and two lights, bed, rocking chair, 2 folding tables and an extra outlet so I could charge my phone. The rest is rustic. Sandy. I did need my earplugs and my sleeping bag. I highly recommend this place for the fun experience. But you'll be CAMPING.

They tried, people are nice, but the place is super "rustic" (being kind) and a home for thousands of fire ants. Soooo hot. Window air in 1 room. Impossible to sleep. One night cost $160. Too much. Clean enough.

Absolutely loved this place. The teepee was spacious and clean and staying in it was a wonderful experience. The night sky there was absolutely stunning and nothing like I've ever seen before. The location is great, very close to the death valley under a scenic mountain range. The only thing i could reproof are the roaches in the restrooms, however the desert is their home and where else is it more appropriate to meet them than there. Loved it

we planned on staying in a teepee, but were caught in a high wind storm. immediately the owners/staff insisted we stay in a cabin until the storm passed. even with 75 mile an hour gusts of wind, we were escorted safely to a beautifully renovated historic cabin, and the owners/staff put us and our safety over profit and didn’t ask for us to pay extra for the obvious upgrade. the cabin has historic charm, and all the modern amenities. such a cool place to stay, and a great location close to lots of outdoor activities. thank you guys again!

We stayed here in a chalet as a family for one night. If we hadnt been so tired, we would've left. The place was filthy, kitchen sink full of dirty pots, dirt and stains everywhere including bathroom. Looked like the place had never been cleaned atall. Door didn't lock, had to wedge chair underneath, curtains missing, had to improvise by using a blanket we brought with us to hang at window.the whole outdoor area was untidy , the outdoor showers were very dirty and the pool was nothing like the pictures. Could not vouch for it being clean.a very rough and ready place, nothing like the way it is advertised.

This place is a gem! We stayed in the King bedroom on our way to Death Valley from Palm Springs and were so happy that we did. The staff is absolutely wonderful and put a lot of thought into the details of the place. They are reason enough to book your stay here if just to support this small, locally-owned business. Our room was super clean, cozy, and recently renovated. There is also a fantastic cafe with thoughtfully-sourced food on the property as well. An hour from Death Valley. Just 20 min away is Lone Peak which is also worth a jaunt where there’s a great view of Mt Whitney and a popular filming site for old Westerns. Close enough to Bishop and beyond! So yeah, why are you still reading? Hit the dusty trail, choose your adventure, and stay at Olancha RV resort along the way!

Alex the manager is wonderful and very customer oriented. The RV park was pretty average as far as space. We were able to get our 40+ft 5th wheel in with multiple slides. The prices were good. The only odd thing was having to contact LAPW to put power in my own name. Most RV parks we've stayed at either include it or charge so much per power usage on the side. The views are gorgeous and I've never seen so many stars in my life. This is a stargazers dream place to stay. You will hear road noise but that is expected for easy access to the highway.

Easy drive and very noticeable at the road. This location is about 2 hrs away from Death Valley National Park. Not too shabby if you want to go to Death Valley. We stayed in one of their units and generally enjoyed it. Okay water pressure, heater works and quiet and peaceful at night. We stayed in a two bedroom and 1 bath unit for less than $100, I think that is a real steal.Parking area is right next to our unit. The food in their cafe is okay and decent. It was served fast and according to our liking.People here are all friendly. We arrived after checked in hours and they waited for us. We had to call and informed them though. They also allow dogs so that’s a plus. Had the chance to walk our dog in the desert and it was cool. The front desk was super nice and even gave us many tourist tips and destinations

I am not sure if people from this village live like this, but for $200/night « family suite » I have to give this 1 star. Place was dirty; sink and fridge were never cleaned. Had to clean the place myself. One missing curtain, had to improvise with towels. One of our « suite » lights were not working, and I had to block the doors by putting a chair under it.Furthermore, the lady serving was extremely unpleasant. I would not believe anyone writing good reviews. Please if you go, ask to check out the place first.

This place shocked us. Def do not judge this book by its cover. Super cute glamping with a cute couple that helped us get comfortable. The decorations were cute and the updates were great. Beds were comfy and it had the amenities hotels had and motels don't. My only thing was we weren't warned of the swarms of bugs if you leave your door open but no biggie we closed our living room door and slept great

This is a surprising gem just outside of busier Lone Pine, CA, with lots of room options to choose from! I stayed (alone!) in the recently acquired motel rooms just one minute down the highway from the main RV Park. The building exterior could use some updating, which is why I can only leave four stars, but the inside was absolutely gorgeous and comfortable! It was quiet, clean, and the bathroom was immaculate - plus a smart TV! The chef at the cafe makes great food, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. I would stay here again!

If possible I would give 0 stars. We spend two days here. The zipper of our tipi-door was broken to welcome the cockroaches into our bed and the roof had a hole big enough for stargazing. However, our tipi was the best part of our (very loud) stay. The bathroom was horrific. The shower tiles were hold together by mold and dirt while the bathmat slowly dissolved itself over the years (?). Two of three toilets were broken and the remaining one was an ant-home. I kind of have the feeling that during the whole pandemic no cleaning was done.(I once spend a couple of nights in a creepy hostel in Paris were slime strings were formed, once touching the bathroom wall. Yet, I think the place in Paris was more hygienic then this bathroom.)All in all: the price (90$ per night) is wayyyyy to much for this accommodation. At least clean and functional facilities would be nice.

The teepees were actually better than expected. It was fairly warm inside especially with the heated mattresses. There were a few problems though, half the outlets didn't work, there was only one bathroom available with a light switch that was seven feet high, and one of the heated mattresses wouldn't work. Despite all of those it was still worth it and a very interesting and fun experience.

We were on the weekend. I gotta say, it was an awesome experience to sleep in the tepees! We stayed in the Horse tepee, with a single bed. The teppee is so cute! It has 2 heaters and a mini fridge. It also has a roof fan and cooler for the summer. The bed was heated! Despite the cold temperatures outside, we stayed warm inside. We ordered food one night, a burger, tenders, and the asada nachos. They were good. There was only one restroom open, it was a cute layout. There was also only one shower open. We had to wait like 15 mins one of the days for our turn. Other than that we loooved our experience there! We will definitely do it again!

This place is fine if you need a bed to sleep in for a night, but not for their showers or restrooms. The teepees are a unique experience, but be ready to welcome little bugs into your dwelling. I strongly recommend the people in charge give maintenance to their restrooms and showers. Bathrooms and showers are outdated and only 1 shower had warm water. If you are okay with the idea of sharing a shower with strangers, here you go! There was a total of 3 restrooms and 3 showers, but only 1 shower worked the 2 nights we were there. And only 2 sinks were usable. They offered a cup of coffee for the price of $7.If they gave heavy maintenance to this place, cleaned it regularly, and checked up on what you need, I might consider staying here again 🤔

It was raining and we were too tired to drive another mile so stopped here. They had one Trailer available. To be honest, if the circumstances were not as they were we would not have stopped. But we did and we were glad we did. The front desk person was very nice and accommodating and we were able to bring our animals in from the cold. We did keep them in crates. We were so happy to be inside from the rain and the accommodations were actually quite nice. We had a full size fridge and I was able to bring our food in and make dinner. The price was extremely reasonable. We had a small porch and a picnic table near by. You could even rent a TP if you wanted to. It was so cool. That night a large limb fell off a big tree from the lightning and rain storm so we were unable to leave until it was moved but all was well. We had a nice place with 2 bedrooms and a full size bathroom. It was very nice for the money and the people couldn't have been sweeter. I would definitely stay there again!

Olancha RV Park and Motel was a nice surprise. I was just looking for a place to break up the 8 hour drive between SoCal and Lake Tahoe and ended up finding a little place that I will definitely visit again. The room was spotless and the bed was comfortable. I called ahead to inquire about a late check in and the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. When I arrived the clerk remembered talking to me and was a pleasure to work with. They made an amazing breakfast burrito for the road and I enjoyed eating it in the shadow of Mt. Whitney. If you are traveling up the 395/14 I highly recommend stopping here.
