Josh and the whole team at The Animal Keeper (Oceanside) are beyond amazing. I am so grateful for their patience and care. it makes me so happy to know that my (6-year old) Australian Cattledog is able to play and socialize under watchful + knowledgeable staff, when i’m stuck in meetings or have a busy day of errands. My dog loves the animal keeper so much and I love the employees that work there. There’s never been a time where drop off has ever been difficult when it comes to daycare and they work with me with my crazy hospital schedule. my dog looks forward to daycare. She knows exactly the way there so her tail is wagging from the time we make that right turn. I recommend doggy daycare to anyone, but I really recommend the animal keeper to everyone. We will come here forever! Thank you for being the best daycare!

I drop my pup off on Thursdays because of a work obligation. He is really excited when we pull into the parking lot & easily goes with the staff to the tiny tots (small dogs day care). This morning, the staff member was very personal with him & he did not look back. I highly recommend! 👍🏻👍🏻 🏻💜🐶

I have a Siberian Husky and they take wonderful care of her for me. They do an amazing job getting rid of her fluff. And they have socialized her with other dogs in the yard. Thank you Animal Keeper for taking care of my furry Princess!

Moose plays in the tots day camp every week! He loves to go play. They’ll add on a bath anytime I ask for a good price. Very accommodating. Staff knows moose the moment we walk in and they offer punch cards so you’re in & out in a breeze!

The Animal Keeper is great - they always take care of our cat when we are away. I love how the team follows our instructions and how they give him such good attention. They are organized and clean. Once, the Animal Keeper team even noticed our cat needed some extra attention and they took him to our preferred vet while we were away for 2 weeks. We could feel the love. Definitely recommend this company and this location!The only feedback I can provide for improvement is with respect to their tech systems - it would be lovely to be able to validate my information and confirm whether info I provided on the last visit is still correct, rather than having to rewrite a ton of info out every time we drop him off. 😊

We had our beloved Amstaff stay here for 8 days over the holidays, and upon his pick up , I am SHOCKED. First off my dog is covered in urine ( I am assuming no one cleans kennels or protects the well being of their customers pets), secondly my dog is not himself. We brought him home and he immediately just wanted to go lay down and curl up. He doesn’t want to eat (his favorite thing) and he isn’t his jumpy happy self. I call my dog a Velcro dog because he never leaves my side. Well, that has changed after having him stay at the HORRIBLE animal keeper. We will never be bringing our dog here again and you should think twice before doing so. They have no accountability (why no live cams on kennels or play time??) the front desk hosts are 80 lb females that are afraid of dogs and don’t know what they’re doing… this place is a mess. I can’t believe we trusted this place with our fur baby. Animal keeper you should be ashamed of yourselves. It’s 2024, be better.

Our two fur babies- Bug and Ellie, absolutely love the facility, activities and staff. It is especially heartwarming when I drop them off and the staff remembers them. I am comforted knowing that they are safe and well cared for.

I was so thankful that we found The Animal Keeper for our dog after an animal caregiver cancelled on us the day before a weeklong vacation. They took very good care of our dog and did a fantastic job on grooming, which we booked at the same time! My only disappointment was that our dog would only be able to play outside with other dogs for a significant up-charge.

Getting our dog registered for the first time was super easy, they even let her stay and play as long as I wanted the first day for free after her evaluation. Now drop off and pickup is a breeze, they can usually even squeeze in a bath in the afternoon before pickup!

Our dogs smelled awful and were very sick after staying for one night.UPDATE: DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!!Per your over the top response with lies to cover your tracks, my dogs never received a or were offered a “complimentary bath” and we were not offered free nights. We wouldn’t subject our dogs to staying there again anyway (which is why they never stayed there again). What you should have done is gave us our money back. They were not already sick under your watch, they were sick AFTER your watch. About THREE DAYS AFTER we got them back. They were shaking and anxious. They were covered in other dogs urine. My white dog was yellow. They have never been sick like that before. People shouldn’t have to defend a review anyway but here I am. Thats a funny way to make yourselves look better, by just making things up. I was just leaving a review because you guys sent me an email asking me for one. Now I'm just straight up annoyed by you. Wild.

I’m sure they took good care of my dog but it was very expensive. I boarded my dog for 8 days while I was traveling. At other places I have boarded my dog, they had my dog engage in the daily dog camp to get socialization and exercise. The cost of the boarding and camp were all inclusive. I had to pay the cost of boarding plus the cost of camp which seemed excessive. I will look elsewhere when I need to board her the next time.

Staff is always friendly. Anytime my family leaves for a vacation we drop off our dog. We have never had any issues and our pet loves the play time with the other pets.

We LOVE The Animal Keeper in Oceanside!! The staff is very friendly & always answers our calls when checking in on Mojo. We love it so much we drive all the way down from Dana Point & Mojo (our Husky) loves it so much sometimes it’s hard to get him to leave! Highly recommended for all furry friends. Oh my gosh i'm so grateful for this place!!! I have a rescue pup with pretty severe separation anxiety and a few days of day camp has transformed her into the smiley-est social dog who knows how to play with toys and doesn't freak out when I leave her at home!! Every time I pick her up she is so happy, falls asleep in the car, and when we get close in the car she gets an excited yip I've never heard before. The staff is attentive, makes sure everyone is up on their shots, and even bring their own dogs in. I never really write reviews but i could not recommend this place more. Thank you Animal Keeper!!

Love this location - I take my pups here both for boarding and daycare. They have been boarded for just a few days and at times a week or more. The staff always treat my pups with love and always keep in touch with pictures and updates.

At first looking at the reviews I was sure my puppy was in good hands. I did recieve photos once requested as it looked my puppy was in good hands still until I picked him up. When I picked him up he smelled terrible like feces and his paws soaked in urine making me think his kennel was not cleaned out mind you he was just groomed and cut before I dropped him off. On his ride he was not himself riding home with his tail tucked between his legs. Once home he slept all day and took awhile to get to his normal self. Will not be boarding here again.

So amazing! My dads wife referred me and I literally drove all the way down from LA to bring my two precious kitty cats Socks and his son Socks Junior while we went out of the country for a week and half. The front desk girls Adianna and Kasey were so wonderful- we called almost every day to check on them both and they always gave me detailed updates and were extremely friendly. And Vanessa fed them and administered Socks his medicine daily (Socks was on antibiotics and anti inflammatory meds due to an injury). They also got lots of love and pets and affection from the staff which was an added bonus- I felt so grateful and happy that I knew Sock’s stitches were being monitored and attended to. If any other employees were working from January 4th-January 15th that I didn’t mention thank you guys too!!! I appreciate y’all so much and I will absolutely make the 2.5 hour round trip any time in order to bring my babies back to The Animal Keeper!! :) thank you guys!! Highly highly recommend!!!

Boarding a younger dog can be hard the first time, but our experience here was great. We boarded our little guy for 9 days, took him a couple days to warm up but he came out the exact same dog, all his fingers and toes and seemed to have a wonderful time. The staff here is extremely friendly and they seem to genuinely enjoy their jobs. They went out of their way to check on the little guy when I called a few times while we were away.My one complaint--their website sucks. We booked online and their system is not properly automated, it apparently did not create a reservation for us. We got lucky and were able to make a 9-night reservation one day in advance.I highly recommend using them, but I recommend CALLING to make a reservation and not using the site.

The best endorsement I can give is how my cat is doing after a 19 day stay. I was stressed about leaving him for so long but staff took my daily calls and assured me my guy was doing well. One team member even took the time to send me a few pictures - that demonstrated how much she cared and I am so grateful. Now that we are home my cat isn’t demonstrating any signs of having been stressed. He is eating well, sleeping well, hasn’t snubbed us and his coat is shiny - all signs that he had a good experience. Animal Keeper in Oceanside will be our go to for Dillon’s home away from home 😻
