I've been coming here4 years. The staff has ALWAYS been friendly. This day 1/14/24 I have 2 say was BY FAR the best customer service experience I've had in more then 20yrs. I walked in & was greeted. Went 2 get my babies food. I put my hand up immediately KLIFFORD can & ask can he help. He picked up the heavy bag took it 2 the counter but that was not the best part. I asked him about my dogs skin he recommended something. I ask about switching foods . This man went above and beyond his job description HE listened & replied NO RUSHING he was ALL IN THANK YOU MR. KLIFFORD YOU R TRULY WHAT CS IS ALL ABOUT . U deserve 10stars

They misled me on their pet food return policy and of course then it became my problem. They had said that you can even bring back a can of empty cat food if your cat really did not like it for credit. I had brought back just one unused can from a recent shopping trip but they said oh no you can't get the credit for the unused food because it has been more than 30 days; even that was totally unclear... I donated the $3 can to them (it seemed like they were totally desperate for something??) and left the store and postponed the $100 purchase I was about to make for another shop. If people want to act stupid and petty, don't resist them and go for the next solution...

Loads of pet food. So many choices I just feel overwhelmed. My cats aren't impressed with anything yet. They also have the smallest and most expensive selection of cat litter you ever have seen!

Lovely people work here. It's a chain so you know what to expect regarding high quality and reasonable prices. I would say I visit every month for dog bones and chews.

Always a great experience. Sales associates are always helpful and NEVER pressure one to purchase any item. They have an abundance of knowledge and if you stump them, they seek peers for additional information. Great store with quality products.

The self service at the dog wash is amazing. They provide extra towels , a collar for your dog to bath in and a layer of plastic protection for you, and your clothes. Wear a short sleeve, and enjoy your service here, its the best and my go to spot for my dog.

We absolutely LOVE this store,all locations! We started out at San Leandro but we go to every store to get specific foods. The staff here are fabulous! They've always helped me and I love their customer service. And the animals love their food and employees

Wow, great selection on food obviously but also amazing treats , toys and all other miscellaneous gear and wellness products every pet owner needs. But for me what got me to be a loyal customer was the unbelievably conveniently raised self-servuce pet bathing/grooming area complete with blow-dryer and towels.i have a 90 lb English Mastiff and the 25 mins alotted per cycle is plenty of time for me to shampoo and lather him up multiple times before the blow-dryer. The results are beyond all expectations, like I took him to a professional groomer. The value of which cannot be overstated.

Very friendly, helpful staff. They explained how the dog wash stations work, and gave me a five dollar discount on a thirty pound bag of dog kibble because it had been accidentally cut when putting on display.Looking forward to bringing my dog here to wash him!

I come from vacaville just 2 shop there and get expert advice 4 my dog's needs. Chuck and the whole crew there were very much helpful and knowledgeable in what I needed. I will continue 2 make that store a priority run 4 my dog even if it's 45 miles away. Thx crew! Made a trip out this past week and again superior supreme customer service from chuck. He even remembered everything about my dog. Now that's AMAZING!!! Very happy happy to shop here. Ty.

Everyone here is super nice and genuinely helpful. I had a rambunctious pup who needed a new food brand and I was 100% satisfied with the product that the staff member helped educate me on to make the right decision for my doggo. But to mention all the love and got from everyone on the floor. Grateful for their time and patience as well as the easy to understand communication based on solving me problem. ❤️

I'm not one to write many reviews, but the staff at Pet Food Express is - by far and away - the best retail staff. They manage the impossible retail tightrope of just being themselves, while still being astonishingly friendly and helpful. I've been coming here for years to buy dog and cat food, toys, and litter - and they've got everything. The store is the perfect size - loads of food and litter choices, with a big mix of fun high-quality toys. It's always a treat coming in (for me and for my pup, who they literally give a treat every time we go by)!

I am a loyal customer! Their service is always excellent; they are so friendly, knowledgeable and take their time with you. My cat was vomiting after meals and the vet said she likely had lymphoma, suggesting thousands of dollars in testing. When I brought up changing her diet the vet practically laughed at me. I went into Pet Food Express the next day to see if maybe I could put her on a single source protein diet and the person helping me suggested a raw diet. We tried it and 4 months later my cat has not vomited even once! I really appreciate this place and the buy three get one free deal is the best in the bay. Can't go wrong supporting them!

I used to work at this company when I was 17. Today was the first day in a long time I saw an employee excited and passionate about helping me.I walked in and was greeted warmly by a young worker Javier. He told me through conversation it was his first job. He then after I said I was fine and wandered the store aimlessly trying to find something, overheard my issue and came over and solved it by busting out the answer I was about to Google. I was super impressed and his timing was excellent. He lived up to the Pet Food Express standard and more.

Just spoke with a store clerk who was pretty rude. I don't appreciate being interrupted/explained to before I'm done with my sentence. I provided some simple feedback and was met with "cool".I'll provide the feedback again here: it's incredibly misleading to say that delivery is free over $30 when you use a code, and then have the code nullify the free delivery. I don't think it's efficient to have to call back and be refunded a fee.When all that really matters these days is ease of purchase & customer service, I'm not really interested in spending my money here.

I lime this place they usually have knowledgeable and helpful staff. Plus they delivered my cat tree already assembled! The prices are higher than average so they lost a star for that reason. But they do give some discounts for upselling higher quantities of some items.

Omg!I can't tell you how lovely the people here are. I just got a corgi pup and the woman who helped me out was the nicest and most informative person I've ever had help me out. So sweet. I've always been very happy with the staff at any Pet Food Express. Always helpful and sweet. I just wish they had more options for organic dog kibble. And recyclable bags for any of their pet food. If places like Pet Food Express don't demand it, the manufacturers are not going to make changes.
