Do not go near!I bought an air mattress for 50$. It leaked. When I asked to return it the owner refused. He said he cannot check the items and take responsibility. "This is my policy" were his words.Everyone must stay a way from people like that!

Travis (owner) was so friendly and had the warmest smile in town. Lots of good new and used equipment. I rented snow shoes and Travis did a great job showing me how to put them on. They were in perfect condition. Ill be back again.

Great little specialty gear thrift shop with a wide array of outdoor supplies. They have a nice arrangement of high quality used camping, hunting, fishing, clothing, footwear, hiking, climbing, biking and winter sports gear. Store is clean and organized and the shop owner is more than happy to offer help and local info. Both owners (Travis and Russ) have a wealth of knowledge of local trails and climbing routes. They even have a kid's section! A must stop shop for anyone heading up to the great outdoors!

This is an AMAZING local shop! The staff was super helpful and friendly giving us suggestions for hiking in Yosemite. Great prices on nice, gently used gear and wide selection! I've never seen an outdoor gear consignment shop anywhere before, so I had a blast looking around! Kudos to Alpenglow!

Drove up from Clovis as this is the only dealer in the valley who sells Onewheels. The owner was incredibly gracious in letting me test one in the parking blot for nearly an hour before work with me on the price! It's a great shop and definitely worth the drive vs buying directly from Future Motion.

Best gear shop around. Don't you dare go to Big 5 before this shop. Unless you want lower quality for higher pricing. Plus the owners are some of the most knowledgeable people in regards to the Sierra nevadas. If you are here to visit our back yard, Go talk to and help support this shop. They represent this town and actively organize clean ups to keep our mountain trails trash free. Spend your money at Alpenglow!

Fantastic experience! I didn't catch the name of the worker, but be was SO nice and helpful! I needed rope for hiking the half dome cables and not only did he have the perfect rope/caribiner he also tied the knots for me and had me practice using my gear before we left to make sure I was comfortable! Highly recommend!

This shop is awesome! They recommended some radical spots and were very knowledgeable of the mountain area! #climbinggear... #tents... #maps everything for #camping... #rope.. and some almost new used items on consignment! Dont forget all your hiking needs as well maybe even stop for a snack to pack.. Found everything I was looking for and more! Just on the way to Yosemite north on hwy 41.

Great place to exchange gear, pick up packs and they hooked us up with some free water bottles which we needed for climbing half dome in Yosemite. They also know the local beta on Balls, Shuteye ridge and other areas.This is a must stop on the way to the valley.

Went in with a friend. Needed gloves for her to use with her wheelchair. The guy there listened carefully and checked all over the store for a type of gloves that would work. We walked out with 2 pair! That could have gone very differently, and often does when sales people are unwilling to think outside the box or go to extra effort. It was a high point on our trip. I will definitely return in the future for outfitting there. Thank you.

Found this place by chance driving into Yosemite! I was extremely excited to find an outdoor consignment shop as I don’t have a ton of money to spend on new gear. This place was awesome! The owner was super friendly and talked with us the whole time about climbing and hiking. There are lots of clothes to choose from ranging from T-shirt’s to sweaters and shorts to climbing pants. Some of the clothes have hole/stains, but for the price (especially if you going to be outdoors with them) who cares! I would highly suggest this place if your on a budget and need some new gear. They also sell rock climbing holds for cheap prices, harnessed, hiking and climbing shoes, baby carriers, rock climbing guide books, etc. I wish I lived here so I could shop here all the time!

greetings everyone that cruises through beautiful Oakhurst on their way to Yosemite. Please stop at a great place 4 values. I have purchased a kayak, knives, pax, shirts and maps. all of these was well below any retail and some wholesale cost but the product was perfect condition. some people call it pre-loved. I call it one heck of a deal. the guys will get a big jazz out of all the different selections and if the ladies aren't into camping equipments then there's a few racks of clothes items for them to peruse.. yes sir boss can you tell oh, I really like this place. the guys have a lot of knowledge in different sporting areas and I enjoy the laid-back sharing of information. as you get your selected coffee next door walk on over. That's what I dohappy trails

Guys were very friendly and they had a good selection of used gear. Also had a cool dog in the store. They got me my jet boil fuel and that was what I needed. Also suggested some good food nearby when I asked.
