I really cannot express how much we appreciate the relationship we have with Marine Humane. There is so much care and attention that is taken not only to find us potential rescue bunnies but to ensure that they are fully acclimated to their new environment here. We live in a remote area, so this means the team gets in the car and drives over 2-3 hrs to bring us the bunnies and then spends additional hours on property getting them situated. We have had some amazing experiences as well as our challenges and losses and each time Marine Humane is there. When we adopt from Marine Humane we know this is not just an exchange that is over once we have the animal. Marine Humane is there for the entire journey and that makes a huge difference in the lives and experience of these animals (and ours too). We are so grateful, with a special shout out to Suzanne Gollin, Paula, and Christine from The Small Animal Adoption team.

Just may be the best Humane Society in the country! Huge staff, both paid and volunteer. Gorgeous facility, with large and extensive grounds. One of the best financially endowed humane societies in the country. Full of love and goodwill, and lots of potential pets for your happy home! Ongoing educational and socializing activity for you and your family of people and pets!

This is regarding the conduct of the employees in the kennels where I volunteered for a few months. What a nightmare. I have volunteered at a number of shelters but was not prepared for what I saw. It was run like a dysfunctional family. The supervisor in the kennels was very controlling and she verbally abused the staff regularly. There was a lot of backbiting and scapegoating behavior among the kennel workers. One in particular took multiple smoking breaks and skipped her rounds, oh but she was friends with the supervisor so it was okay. An animal died under her care that she had brought home as the direct result of her bad decision making. Once she exploded into a rage at me for no reason She did this to the other employees as well. This kind of bullying behavior was somehow tolerated by the staff. I noticed a number of times that the animals' water hadn't been changed or refilled (one had a bloated dead mouse in it, so it had been days since it was changed) and pens and cages were dirty. One employee mistakenly euthanized an entire litter of kittens. The supervisor chewed her out so loud we all could hear it. Next thing you know, this employee was promoted to animal control officer! A lot of big talk about caring for the animals but all I saw was laziness, incompetence and those who cared or were qualified for the job were in the minority. I contacted the director of the facility regarding everything I witnessed but she just defended the supervisor. If you see anything you feel the need to report, I recommend contacting the board of directors.

Nice shelter, very clean, and they're so dedicated to community outreach, education and all the staff genuinely care for the animals (honestly, not always a given at every shelter)

Compassionate caring officers/ workers who love animals and do everything for their wellbeing. My sister and I called for what looked like an homeless dog in terrible health condition and they were so helpful and communicated everything with us and assured that the dog would be taken care of.I called back to follow up and the officer answered all my questions and was so caring and kind.

The staff was amazing! They were very patient and allowed plenty of time for us to find a good fit for our family. They helped me pick out all the supplies i needed from the store inside the center. We found 2 sister kitties, 3 months old, and have already adapted well to our home. I am so appreciative of Patricia and the rest of the staff. Our family is complete thanks to the Marin Humane Center! ❤️

Great facility, amazing and caring people helping animals and owners alike. A perfect place to get obedience training or specialized training from their collection of friendly knowledgeable trainers. My puppy is currently 8 months old and the best trained animal I've encountered in years thanks in big part to their training, help and suggestions.

It's incredible how much marin humane does for the community! They have dogs and cats, but also many small animals like rabbits, rodents (domesticated) and even reptiles and the occasional goat and roster. They are extremely transparent as an organization and offer tours and community out reach and education. They are always looking for more volunteers for every type of job you could imagine and with varying degrees of flexibility. Go check it out. Visit the dogs or rabbits. It's a wonderful non-profit!

Nice facility. Dogs, cats, and other small animals (rabbits, etc). Plenty of volunteers and the facility is cleaned regularly. All the animals have a photo and their name. The dog also have a brief description of their personality, energy needs, and preferred ages in your family. Very impressed.

Wonderful place! They really care about all the animals here. They're very friendly and helpful. There's a nice shop with pet necessities as well. Some animals will have adoption fees paid for, so if you love the pet, you could bring it hope without paying those fees, which is wonderful for pets who have been waiting to find a loving home.

The animals looked like they were well taken care of, with some of the dogs gone on walks. One of the volunteers was very accommodating on finding rabbits for my friend. They went through the entire process on how to get a new friend and sat with us for a long time as we went through the various bunnies she was interested in.Thank you guys for all you do!

I was picking up Sparky's remains for a friend. My first time here. This place was just wonderful. So clean and tidy. The staff greeted me promptly at the counter and expedited service quickly. They went beyond the call of duty and even jump-started my car.

Amazing organization! Local non-profit that takes in all animals from the community and even outside the community when they can. They even offer dog and cat training classes and workshops and have small companion animal meet and greet days! Love the staff, love the organization.

Services are terrific! People are always friendly. New animals all the time for adoption. I went by to give some parts to a habit trail to them and to see if they had a dog they knew would be good with cats. So far no luck.
