I recently was thinking about my favorite experiences with my dad growing up, and I remembered this local hardware store that my dad would take me to when he was doing home repairs or building something. I now live in a different state and wondered if it was still there. It's been 40 years, and I am shocked and thrilled to find out that a place that helped shape my future and built so many memories still exists. Thanks for some of the best memories.

Lady that helps us out, to me and my wife, she was pretty helpful, but the cahier she was really mean and maybe to only me .I asked my wife a question and she had the audacity of answer to me. See make me feel like an ignorant infront of my wife I am a AC contractor and I have been doing my job for the past 25 years I think I know my stuff but of course I couldn't say anything she seemed more worried about the part that bought, that anything POOR COSTUMER SERVICE FROM THE CASHIER.

This place is so good to find some of the odd unusual items you need, even the guy from Home Depot recommended this place to me. The staff is always friendly and nice and always ready to help.

Unlike the Home Depot and Lowes of the world it's the one place that I can go and feel like the young kid I was going to the Hardware Store with my mom in the 70's and the people are just as friendly and helpful here as they were back then, love shopping here. 😊

This is the best hardware store in the whole area. They are always focused on customer service. Everyone is very helpful and for a small or mid-sized store their selection is surprisingly complete. The lady who works there is a expert at fasteners, either Metric or SAE. I highly recommend this store. So much better than the big box stores! Good parking and a rear entrance around the back and the on street parking on Rosecrans is safe and easy.

The lady at the front, very smart. Extremely helpful! They always seem to know their inventory. Great staff. Prices good. They carry some items home depot and lowes don't have.

The go to spot for tools! Their website is super helpful to navigate the products but the staff at this location is the epitome of customer service. I was lost inside the store for about 5 second before a worker came up to me and asked if he could help. I was looking for a specific item and he took me to the isle and found it easily. Quick transaction and super friendly service. Also knowledgeable regarding soldering equipment in case you were interested in what I was looking for and pellets used a litter for the cats. Nothing like cats and soldering equipment to sooth the soul lol

Yesterday y went to Home Depot to try to find some parts to connect my washer, they couldn't help me o they were so lazy and never helped me.I went to TRUE VALUE today in the morning and they solved my problem in 5 min. Thanks guys you are amazing and customer service is the best...

Terrible do not purchase here, this is what happens when you try to shop and support small businesses. Purchase a dolly which is considered a tool apperantly and those are non refundable. I would have found it extremely helpful if the employee would have mentioned that prior to the sale. The owner was extremely rude and disrespectful along with younger people working there.

There’s an elderly woman who works here that is very rude, whole time while ringing me up she’s busy talking to some other lady that just walked in, too busy to notice that I’m trying to hand her a $20 bill, when she finally sees it she sais oh wow usually people pay with their card and acts bothered by it. On top of that, prices are more expensive than Home Depot and customer service is worse, I wanted to support small business but I won’t come back.

Great lil dive-in hardware shop. Went all around town looking for a place that made copies of car keys and was lucky to find TRUE VALUE HARDWARE. Great customer service and cool place to find stuff that you really can't find anywhere else! Thanks again TRUE VALUE.

I went in for some hard to find metric bolts. I was helped immediately upon entering the store and the clerk helped me find the bolts I needed. A much better experience than what you get at the big stores.
