We took or precious dog in and decided to leave her overnight for 12 hour O2 treatment. Our baby was hanging on strong. We dropped her off at 6 pm p/u at 6:20 am upon picking her up she appeared worse than when dropping her off, she was gray gasping for air. I do not believe they gave her oxygen as needed during those 12 hours my defenseless baby was in their hands. It appears these soulless spineless money hungry thieves did zero to help my precious dog. I took her to a different hospital immediately, where within less than 3 hours she passed away. 48 hours is what the evil Vet insisted I pay for. They are spiteful, and didn’t treat my baby properly. They charged me $1,500 just to examine her. After I was charged $2,365. A total of $3,865 and for what? To push the love of my life into grave condition! My instinct told me to avoid this facility, I wish I had taken her to hospital #2 instead, but Norwalk was closer and I just needed my baby to get ER care. The Vet insisted I euthanize her or pay triple the amount for a 48 hour stay, he repeated these only 2 options multiple times, even followed me to the front desk while in tears, and said “don’t be surprised tomorrow if the other Vet also tells you to euthanize her” “48 hours is better” that’s their spiel. What’s your plan the Vet Dr Constantine kept asking. My plan? My baby suffered during that overnight stay I wish I had taken her against medical advice (AMA) right there and then. But I really wanted to trust them.My faith was that her condition would improve in their hands, enough to f/u with our Vet for after care. However when I saw my baby it was clear they had done nothing to save her. We didn’t even get the opportunity to say goodbye we lost her not to a sudden medical emergency but to evil sales people seeking profit only. Why didn’t I listen to my heart initially and take her elsewhere I’ll live with that guilt forever now. These Aholes prey on the most vulnerable and do not prioritize the health of any living animal . We are grieving the loss of a child not just a dog. No empathy, no ER care, stay away! The negative reviews are all accurate, my experience has changed my life forever they robbed me of every cent I had, and handed me my dog back lifeless, they took her from us! The staff, the Vets they are all disconnected from what matters. Bottom line handing over the love of my life to me in worse shape is inhumane & unethical. Don’t take your pets to Crossroads Norwalk. And if you do I truly hope no one experiences what I did with my pug.

If I could give this place, zero stars I would. They were so quick to grab my money when it came to my husky needing a stitch up of a wound. But when it came to asking them to look at the wound to make sure it was healing properly they refused to do so unless I would pay $150 for another follow up absolutely ridiculous. when I asked them would you tell me if something is wrong or if my dog has an infection when you are removing the stitches they said no we will not tell you unless you pay an additional $150 for another exam what veterinarian would not update you that your pet has an infection upon stitches removal for a procedure they did. do not come here. It is a waste of time and they are absolutely disgusting in there moral as a vet.

Caring staff that was crazy busy when I brought my beautiful fur baby in to be set free from his pain. He went from my arms to the techs arms who quickly whisked him back to be sedated so we could have time to say goodbye. Even while taking care of business and payment, the lady behind the desk was comforting and kind.I wish I remembered the Doctor’s name who was reassuring and gentle with our precious baby. A horrible, painful experience quickly turned to one of comfort and peace because of the caring staff.THANK YOU!*Side note: reasonably priced. He is sedated and comfortable in the photo below.

Let me tell you something about this animal hospital. They rip you off!!! My frenchie came in and had trouble breathing. They told me I have to give a 1500 deposit before going in. Then, the vet only gave us three options: we put our dog down, spend 9000 for them to monitor him, or spend 24000 to put him on oxygen for 48 hours. They told us he was healthy but since a lot of frenchies have that problem we should put him down. We ended up paying 2563 for nothing. We brought him home and we feel like we take better care of him here than at the hospital. He has calmed down and is resting as we speak.

The first doctor we met with, Dr. Camuso, was wonderful! He was compassionate, knowledgeable, and realistic. I knew in taking my pet there it would be expensive. My cat is 10+ years old with underlying conditions, which we disclosed all. We came in because he was lethargic and not eating. We were concerned it was DKA, which was basically confirmed. This was our first experience. The doctor was helpful in navigating on how to cautiously and realistically move forward. I do not have endless funds and the doctor seemed somewhat sensitive to that. We left our cat there overnight and were told to pick him up at 7am sharp. I received a call at 6:50am to make sure I was on my way—I was walking in their door. In speaking with the same doctor, we decided it would be helpful to keep my cat there another shift as opposed to transferring to my vet at that time. We were then told to pick up my cat at 6pm (an hour early to review the discharge information). At 5:25pm (while on my way to Crossroads) I received a call from the doctor on staff at that time. The call felt alarming and confusing. I was told my cat needed to stay at minimum another 48-72 hours and then be transferred to specialty care. There were no other options shared. I asked about him staying until the morning and was told these work-ups to determine fees take time and I should already have that information. At this point, I have spent $4000. The additional costs would be a minimum of another $6000, which would not include any specialty care. My cat has a heart murmur, FIV, no eyelids, diabetic, arthritis in spine, and skin conditions. It was determined by the first doctor that my cat was suffering from a raging UTI, which may have caused the BG to spike. I felt incredibly bullied by the second doctor (possibly Dr. Ortega). I felt shamed for not instantly agreeing to move forward with the care. I felt ridiculed for asking to take the treatment by shifts and not committing to the 48-72 hours and transfer to specialty care. I was afraid I was looking at $25,000 with no real hope of him recovering. I felt panicked in trying to process what was happening. This conversation was night and day from my conversations with the previous doctor. I was at a loss and told them that I would come and get my cat. But this was not the worst of it. The doctor did not come and talk to us at all—though we were asked to come early for this very reason. Again, my cat was diagnosed with a raging UTI and Dr. Camuso told us twice that oral antibiotics would be sent home with us. However, they refused to give us the antibiotics. My cat was scheduled to receive another dose that evening, but the antibiotics were denied. We asked twice. I also asked about insulin dosing and was told to discuss with my personal veterinarian. I feel the doctor put her pride before the medical needs of my cat. I was in disbelief and so disheartened. As soon as I got home, I contacted my veterinarian. She contacted Crossroads directly. After waiting 30 minutes on hold to ask why the antibiotics were denied, she was hung up on (she believes this was done by Dr. Ortega). My veterinarian asked for a name, but the request was refused. I am in absolute disbelief over this treatment and lack of.

Do not take your pets here!! You are better off driving 100 miles to find a trustworthy animal emergency vet than go here. We normally take our pets to an emergency pet hospital in Cerritos, but they were full on that Friday night. Instead, we found the closest hospital which was Crossroads. Not only did they grossly over charge us but we had to wait hours to receive what turned out to be an incorrect diagnosis. Probably by design. The vet who treated our dog recommended emergency surgery, but we felt she wasn't being truthful and decided to wait until Monday to see our normal vet. On Monday our normal vet told us our dog simply had a pinched nerve and would be fine in 2 weeks' time. Also, according to our vet, Crossroads over prescribed the dosage of medication which our vet said could have killed our dog. Our vet charged us $50 to tell us our dog had a pinched nerve while Crossroads charged us $1,400 because they had diagnosed a severe spinal injury. Our pet insurance only paid a fraction of the claim stating that our policy reached the limit for the type of treatment our dog received. Meaning the cost didn't warrant the service, treatment or diagnosis. Oh, by the way, 2 weeks have passed, and our dog is back to 100%. Again, don't go here unless you want to be ripped off.

Horrible!!! At this moment my puppy is fighting for her life with parvo!!! Crossroads said she didn’t have parvo, they failed her!!!! Charged me an arm and a leg!! They said her sugar levels dropped and it’s a lie!!! I took her to another hospital and I showed them the papers of what they supposedly did for her, and the new Dr said why did they run those tests, makes no sense she has parvo!! IF YOU REALLY LOVE YOUR PETS DO MOT TAKE THEM THERE!!!! And they’re money hungry!! They kept her over it’s, I picked her up this past Friday, and she seemed ok. But then she pooped diarrhea!!! PLEASE DONT GO THERE!!!!

Don't go to this hospital. They charged me $4000 for my cat and he died after I left from there. They wanted another $2,500 to leave him for an additional 10 hours, but I took him home still with vomit and when I went to pick him up, they didn't show me him until I signed papers. Finally I was able to see my kitten and he appeared worse than how I left him, very hurt and weak and he smelled a lot of bactericide. They inserted a Q-tip in his behind and just said it was parvo, didn’t do any blood work or nothing. All the medicine they gave him was for parasites and he didn't have any to begin with. They put me on a plan to pay the bill and told me I wouldn’t pay interest but now I’m paying 21.5% APR. This place is just a business, they do not care about your pets they just want your money.

I called this place at 8am said the wait was an hour got there 830 to check in. I keep checking with them to see how long. I'm being very patient. Another hour another hours. It's 1pm I and they call me to say another 3 hours. Why wasn't I updated sooner to bring my dog later instead of having him out in the rain. I could've helped him be more conlmfortable. Why wasn't I given additional locations so my dog can be seen sooner? I had to ask for that! They only gave me one number of a location so I had to figure the rest out. All these comments say don't come here. It's New Year's Eve wasted half a day waiting while my dog vomitted every 30 minutes. So I went to Orange County Emergency Pet Clinic. (You can see my review there!)

I took my baby in Rebel yesterday and although they said it would be 3-5 hour wait they took her in within 1 hour. She had a really bad hot spot in her face.Honestly everyone was so nice specially the receptionist there helping us a young gentlemen. Rebel is safe home with antibiotics and a spray . Thanks so much for helping her I know it was a really bad hotspot . But they did a lot specially since she’s a husky and wouldn’t let me get near the wound.I’m the picture you can see before and after the wound is shaven and cleaned .

My dog got incredibly sick. We were notified by a different vet that we should humanely euthanize him. We were recommend to this place and we are truly grateful for it. They treated my dog with respect and dignity even in his last moments. The vets were so kind to us while we were mourning which made the process a bit easier. A few days later we received a sympathy card. If you want your pet to be treated as humanely as possible I would highly recommend this place. Thank you Crossroads Animal Emergency team for everything.

Like everyone else here DO NOT COME here I tried to take my cat there because she was severely sick and my regular vet was fully booked so I took her here and they tried to charge us 2k before even checking her vitals and never once met the Vet nor did they ask any questions and they only took her away and come back 5 min later saying she’s in critical condition that if we didn’t go with their 1st treatment then we’d have to talk about End of Life Care - if it wasn’t from reviews here warning about their practice I would have believed it and Thank Goodness I did because I left and went next day to my regular vet (they had an opening) and not once did my vet speak of end of life treatment they wanted to run blood work first before saying anything and my girl is doing much better after getting some medication.

DON'T COME HERE!! RECEPTIONIST EXCHANGED MY CASH FOR FAKE BILLS!! They told me I had to pay before they can see my cat. (Which I thought was strange since they didn't even know what was wrong with her yet and what she needed but whatever). I paid with cash about $150, the receptionist took my cash to the back and was gone for 20 minutes, she came back and told me all my bills were fake. And couldn't treat my cat. I knew that couldn't be true, since I just got that money from the bank earlier that day. Sure enough, I took the same bills to the bank to confirm the scandal, and sure enough the bills were fake. The receptionist took advantage of me and instead of treating my cat, stole my money for her own benefit. Please avoid this place all together, they'll take advantage of you just because your desperate to get your fur baby treated.

DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE IF YOU CAN HELP IT.This was an AWFUL experience.I brought my 2 year old dachshund in here due to a urinary blockage. Xilo was in desperate need of help.FIRST RED FLAG: They take your pet away from you right away. My little guy was obviously in a lot of pain, and he is often nervous and fearful around new people. I don't understand why we aren't allowed to see our pet after he gets checked in.SECOND RED FLAG: The woman who came out to take him didn't have a chart, didn't even have a piece of paper! SHE WAS WRITING THE INFO WE GAVE HER ON HER GLOVE.I should have walked out then, but I was too worried about my Xilo.THIRD RED FLAG: My dog was THE ONLY ANIMAL GETTING CHECKED IN. The workers REPEATEDLY asked me his name. OVER & OVER & OVER. I was obviously very emotional & upset. Maybe it's asking a lot, but they could have at least PRETENDED to care about my baby by peeking at his paperwork. But then again, maybe they threw away that info glove right???FOURTH RED FLAG: When they finally call us to the back we're escorted to this weird empty room, with 2 chairs, but my dog is still no where to be seen. Dr. Buckle walks in and tells us in the most insincere tone how "they'll take care of our baby" then an assistant walks in to explain the coming bill.FIFTH (It Keeps Going!): Said assistant walks in, and begins talking to us in a hushed dramatic tone, like he's pretty much whispering at us how the Dr. needs $670 worth of tests JUST to diagnose my dog. He tries to convince us we need ALL of those tests to make sure we know what's going on. We could not afford to pay that much and still get him treated. All of a sudden he goes to talk to the Dr. about how they could bring down the price. This goes on 3-4 times. Are we in a negotiation??? WE ARE VERY UNCOMFORTABLE BECAUSE THEY ARE CLEARLY ONLY TRYING TO SEE HOW MUCH WE'RE WILLING TO SPEND.SIXTH RED FLAG: When we tell whisper guy WE CAN NOT afford even the lowest option ($355) he sends in the vet. We tell her we'd rather check Xilo out and try to get a second opinion. We want to save him, not spend our already small budget on one X-ray. THATS WHEN THE EXTREME SHAMING, AND SCARE TACTICS BEGIN.She tells us that if we take Xilo "without treatment" she will have to report us to animal control under California law. Because We were "informed he could be suffering".Then she goes on and on explaining how his bladder could rupture if it was a kidney stone causing the blockage and he needs to be diagnosed.Ummm OKAY. Who's the worse person? Me, because I can't afford your price gouging, or YOU Dr. Buckle, who have access to everything needed to diagnose/save him, but refuse because I can't pay you up front!!!Then she tried to convince me I should put my dog down if we couldnt afford to diagnose him. Just like that. From 1 hour to the next I was supposed to give up on his life and kill him. Without even knowing what was going on.They were 100% preying on our fear, worry, and love for our pet. It was clearly a mind game from the very start. We told her she could do what she wanted and call whoever she needed to call. We were taking him out of that place. We left there with a $130 bill for the exam and one pain injection. We have no way of knowing that he even actually GOT the shot, and we weren't consulted about it either. Apparently another "CA law".Obviously we didn't mind paying for that, he definitely needed it, I just wish I had actually SEEN it happen. But the exam was a total waste of money. They told me nothing of value. This Place couldn't even be bothered to take ACCURATE NOTES from his visit. Attached in images you'll find the paperwork we received. 9/10/18??????& XILO DIDN'T RECIEVE ANY MEDICATION???Again, at least PRETEND to care.My Xilo made it through the night, and was seen by the wonderful people at Bellflower Pet Hospital who worked with us instead of focusing on money. He had emergency surgery with them the next day.I understand an ER is an ER. But if I were you, I'd try a different one for your pet.

Horrible experience all they care about is your $$$. consult is $140 and they still don't check your animal until you pay xtra $. To figure out what's wrong was $1500 supposedly for x-rays/ultrasound and blood work. After all that was done they stated "not sure if kidney or uterus was damage" They try to do surgery on your animal without knowing what is really wrong. Staff from the receptionist to the back staff sucks! Specially Dr Ortega if you don't want to pay she walks away and says she can't do anything for you or your puppy. I will be reporting them to Veterinary Medical Board. My aunt works with the Med board if you had any issues with them in the past email me. I will gather everyone to have this hospital looked into.I took my animal to AM PM Ideal Pet Care 13220 San Antonio Dr, Norwalk, CA 90650 best choice ever! Reasonable pricing and great service and 5 minutes away from this hospital that rips you off.

If I can rate this place zero stars I would. My dog was literally bleeding in the lobby and they had me waiting for 6 hours.I won’t recommend this place for any emergency.Had to pay $140 BEFORE they even seen my pet. Waited again for another hour in the exam room and no one came in to check on us, told them I couldn’t wait any longer and to refund me and they said that they have other emergencies and that’ll I’ll receive my refund in the mail by check.

Still sad to see people still bring their pets here. Check out the reviews in Yelp. They'll make you think twice. I only wish I'd taken ALL the negative ratings seriously. That was my 1st mistake. They don't care about customer service, or making your pet comfortable unless it's end of life. Your pet will suffer, waiting it the car, for HOURS, till they feel like they can deal with you. Terrible work ethic. My review I posted on yelp a couple years ago, is the truth. Don’t dismiss these bad reviews. I did, and I fully regret it.

I spent over 2,000 dollars for treatment for my dog and she still continues to be the same. I wish I read the reviews before I came here. Please don’t come here, I learned my lesson. This hospital will drain your money to do very little.

My mom's chihuahua was throwing up blood, bloated and lethargic. When we searched for a vet at almost midnight Saturday, nothing was opened. But thank god we found Crossroads. They were very prompt and courteous throughout that stressful night/morning. Dr. Camuso took great care of our Molly. He quickly diagnosed her condition and explained everything to us. Of course the visit wasn't cheap, but I never got the feeling that they were trying to upsell me. Thank you very much Dr. Camuso and the rest of the Crossroads staff for the top-notch care and service!

I am deeply saddened to share my experience at Crossroads Animal Emergency in Norwalk, which resulted in the tragic loss of my beloved kitten. I feel compelled to write this review to shed light on the distressing circumstances and express my concerns regarding the care provided. When I arrived at the animal hospital in a frantic state, desperate for immediate assistance for my kitten, I was met with an unfortunate focus on financial matters rather than the well-being of the animals. It became evident that monetary considerations took precedence over providing the necessary care and support.Despite the urgency of the situation, I was informed that they would only attempt CPR on my kitten if I could pay $1500 upfront. The pressure and urgency of the moment made it difficult to process the situation fully, and I felt that they capitalized on my vulnerable state. While I understand the need for prompt decisions, I expected more empathy and understanding during such a critical time.Regrettably, when my card was declined, they abruptly ceased CPR and stated that they could only continue if I could provide the full amount. This sudden halt in their efforts left me devastated, as I firmly believe that every possible measure should have been taken to save my kitten's life. I felt that they were unwilling to work out a solution or explore alternative options with me, compounding my distress. To add to the distressing ordeal, upon reviewing my bank account after returning home, I discovered that the full amount had been charged, despite the CPR being discontinued. This lack of transparency only exacerbated my concerns about the hospital's priorities and their commitment to animal welfare.Sadly, based on my experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend Crossroads Animal Emergency in Norwalk to others. It is disheartening to think that an establishment entrusted with the care of animals could prioritize financial matters over the well-being and lives of our beloved companions.I sincerely hope that the management of Crossroads Animal Emergency in Norwalk takes this feedback seriously and reevaluates their practices, placing greater emphasis on compassionate and ethical care. No pet owner should have to endure the pain of losing their furry friend under such distressing circumstances.

Told wait time was 2-4 hours in 83 degree heat outside in the car with a pet that is not eating or drinking. You would think a vet/ER would understand how dumb that is. After 4 1/2 hours, and the 3rd time calling to check on our status, I was told it was another 2-4 hours extending the original wait time. In the process of waiting, my cat looked like she was about to pass out. I was told there were emergencies that took priority over my pet. I understand that and don't have an issue with that. What i dont understand is why they couldn't have let me know as I was the only person there waiting before the emergencies came in. Then I was told in order to be seen, i had to stay and could not leave to alleviate my pet from the heat. Completely stupid and incompetent.NEVER AGAIN.

I have taken my moms dog here couple of times, and they have been very nice every time. Sadly, this last time my dog did t make it. His heart was just too weak. My cat had severe anemia and indeed was very sick. Nonetheless I had gone to my regular vet the day before, and unfortunately was discharged instead of admitted. I went to Crossroads as he had collapsed in the early morning to see if he could be saved. This is what I got:1. Up front fee of $1500 in a credit card before it could be seen.2. Yes there was a doctor, and yes he said my pet likely wouldn't make it, however more of their hustle went down like this ..3. Fee of $600 for CPR. I made him DNR.4. Being simultaneously told my pet might make it with ICU care and quoted a 8.5k bill for that5. I was going to have my boy put down with their meds , but then told I had a $10 balance due if were to have him creamated with their team, completing that $1500 balance and then some.6. I sensed no compassion from the lead Tech and so called "Dr." David Constantine, and nothing but disregard for what my cat meant to me. It's a money hustle, not a place of veterinarian medicine.7. I took my pet from there in that condition from them. They wanted to leave an IV in, and that they would call the Sheriff on me. I told them to take the iv out, as I know that's illegal.8. In 2 hours my cat got a small amount of IV fluid oxygen, and a warming blanket, I got a $621.57 invoice, and trauma.9. He died in my car ride home.10. These people don't even belong in business.

My poor baby boy, only 3 months passed yesterday because we didn't have an additional 5k for him to stay overnight. We paid over $ 2 hundred for consultation and over 1900 for an IV and testing... They couldn't even treat him during this process after finding parvo on the fourth test. We had no choice but to go here cause they were the only ones available on Memorial Day. This is not a place of care but merely a place of business that prays on low income families. We do not recommend their outrageous pricing. They are money hungry, and if I didn't have any sense... I'd literally burn this vile place down to the ground. R.I.L my sweet bby boy Faga.

Crossroads was referred by a client in the vet office I entered with a puppy that was crashing. The vet said they couldn't assist as they were in surgeries already, that he should go to an emergency vet. A client referred me to Crossroads. The first visit was process fairly fast and though I felt the puppy could have received some care to give him a chance to see if he could improve. He was fairly alert but moaning and week. The Vet said there was pretty much 0 percent and that he should be humanly euthanized. Two more of the siblings tanked quickly the next day so they were taken to Crossroads. Again, same response by vet which one these two were more responsive than first. The vet said she would not recommend any services as in her opinion it would stil result in the attempts to be unsuccessful. I took the pups to another vet in Bixby Knolls area where treatment was rendered and the pup survived. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND CROSSROADS UNLESS YOU ARE ONLY EUTHANIZING IN AN EMERGENCY.

I had to put one star in order to write a comment but I would give this 0 stars. Doctor Ortega's treatment Plans were only to exhaust my wallet. I am glad I went AMA although I was threatened To have animal control called on me for caring about myCat and wanting an alternative opinion. I spent over $5000 for nothing! I took my cat to Thomas veterinarian in Downey, and Charged me about less than $200 to bring my cat back to life. Doctor Ortega in Norwalk said my cat would not make it through the night the day that I took him out and she wanted to put an NG tube. The doctor at the facility in Downey gave himSubcutaneous hydration (3 treatments) with the ability to take my cat home and my cat is now eating and thriving. If you bring your pet here, to Norwalk, and you have a gut feeling that something is off, I recommend taking them out and finding another vet before they wipe out your wallets

Gentle and caring support for my very senior dog with congestive heart failure (that suddenly became much worse) on a weekend when my regular vet is closed. They were kind, patient, and kept my little one comfortable while I waited for my husband to arrive, to say goodbye to this much-loved little nugget.
