Absolutely the the worst engagement with a store employee named Maddy. If this is not the child - as a description she was the homely looking girl with the sour face and long mousy brown hair. Seems as if the good looking gentlemen at the front didn't know her name or was protecting her when I asked for her name. Maddy is clearly not meant to serve the public much less be allowed out in it. The dogs are more well behaved and my mental health (and my dog's) was not taken into consideration today. In a rare occasion of human stupidity this child was hired and let loose. But first a little on the encounter and the store condition. This store over the years has fallen into deplorable condition. Out of convenience I visit this store weekly for the bath facility with my aging dog and the cancer that has afflicted him to keep his coat and delicate skin clean. Today as always the bathing area was a wreck - water all over the floor - smelled like it hadn't been cleaned - 2 dryers for three tubs since the other broke and was removed months ago and never replaced - no ramp for older dogs to access the tubs - no WET FLOOR sign visible which is a hazard. A true sign that the management looks around the ghetto it is located in and doesn't care for the $20 it costs for a bath. So I go into the bath area today with my 16 year old dog that suffers from hip dysplasia in his rear, in a brace, and suffers from a skin cancer - happy to just be spending the last few months of this dogs life together. Midway into his bath Mean Ole Maddy stands at the front of the bath area and yells loudly "is your dog on a leash" Not excuse me, not in an appropriate tone, not in a manner that a consumer should be spoken to ... yelled as to announce her dominance and importance in the store. Granted I flipped rudely back at her that he wasn't mostly due to her demeaning tone. She then proceeds to continue yelling loudly that he needed to be on a leash because it's the store's policy and if I didn't the next step would be to shut the entire store down. Not at all mad that you have a policy or that store employees have to enforce it - life is full of rules. I stepped away from the tub to allow this Maddy to see that my elderly dog with hip dysplasia in a brace - was not hopping out of the tub. She proceeds to still yell loudly that it needs to be attached and that she was watching me and would have to shut the store down. Can I tell you the hair on the back of my neck and the hair on the back of my elderly dog was standing up based on the indignity of being screamed at by some child that has no sense of how to speak to a human being. This is after YEARS of bathing my dog here since he was a pup. Out of respect for your organization - not Maddy - I looped the leash around my dogs neck - which did I mention he has hip dysplasia ... is in a brace ... and is 16 years old that I had to physically lift into the tub because there is no ramp for handicapped dogs to get in so this dog would not leap out into the store and run around causing the two customers in the store to panic and the whole world plunge into chaos. Maddy continued to try and stare me down and I went on with my bath ignoring the fact that she damaged my mental health, destroyed the happiness that I was enjoying bathing my dog that is still alive and breathing, muttered something under her breath causing further embarrassment on my part in front of the other dog owner bathing their dog ... and then wandered away. I guess she needed to feel important. Maybe Maddy should have be socialized with the other puppies when she hired and taught how to behave in public - or maybe someone should have given her a treat. There will be no returning to this location as the level of embarrassment that I felt after spending my money - not Maddy's - to bath my dog. My encounter was abusive, demeaning, and not at all good for the mental health of myself or my dog who barely has a growl left in him. Clean up your store - get rid of Maddy or really train her to be more well behaved and considerate. My dog certainly was.

Always friendly service here. The gentleman (Didn't catch his name) was very helpful in fitting a shirt on my dog. Only problem was they were out of the dog food I needed but he suggested I try Petco and they did have it at Petco for my baby🐶😊

Amazing place to get all your pet needs! Staff was knowledgeable and friendly! I had just rescued a 5-6 month puppy and I needed some supplies for him. Poor little guy! I named him Mars. The staff helped me pick out the best shampoos and sprays for preventing and killing ticks and flees. I got him a name tag that was east to engrave! I am completely satisfied with how they helped me and I’ll be going to that store for now on.

Great spot for cats and dogs. Dog washing facilities on site. Lots of different brands of food, leashes and harnesses. Pleasant staff, and overall Great $election!!!! Recommended ✅ for all Animal lovers, especially Dog lovers!!!

My foster dog had an accident there after his bath as I was returning the bucket, I had two large strong dogs I was having a hard time with and they gave me paper towels to clean it myself. I asked if there’s anywhere to clip the dogs so I can clean it, they said no. I don’t know what the policy is on cleaning at petco but they are always helpful every other petco. It seemed like I was interrupting their conversation and being a nuisance. It was two females one with green hair.Even if they are not required to clean if a dog has an accident, watching a customer struggle and not being helpful is terrible customer service.I’ve never felt so unwelcome and uncomfortable in a petco before. The one in Burbank is my usually store and everyone there is incredible.. and their doggy self wash systems are bad too. Overall not a good experience, thank goodness it’s not the store closest to me!

Shout out to ALL the staff here especially Ren !!!! She is an absolute help everytime I go there. Ren always reminds me of my savings from being a pals member I appreciate savings! Mom recently got a puppy and Ren helped her get set up with all the necessary essentials and some cute extras. From the right food for a growing pup to Daisy's (new puppy) name tag. Great selection of food and treats for all our furry friends at home! Thanks

Really disappointed in the selection of clothes for dogs. All options were tacky, with cheesy sayings on them or just cheap looking. They also didn't have many options for larger dogs, just tiny ones.

Used the self wash for the first time today and it was quite exciting for both parties. You pay at the cashier $15 and they provide you with a basket of essentials, two medium towels, shampoo and conditioner, rubber bath brush and a comb. Theirs a wall dryer with a extended hose. My dog is a husky mix around 52lbs and he did really well, super patient. Lol then we did some shopping afterwards.

About SELF WASHI believe it’s extremely URGENT a renovation of towels, mats; provide a BETTER QUALITY SHAMPOO and keep that space cleaner cause it’s $20 bucks now for SelfWash and the area is completely abandoned and gross.

Always a pleasure here at this particular location since I've moved to valley village area.Always stocked, friendly employees, and actual employees you can find quickly on floor for help ..Always come here for my 5month old yorkie pup nail trim, teeth brushing and also get all her vet care done by petco.They also have the cutest outfits for her, she has so many thanks to this store and the inventory they have here.My favorite location

There’s a lot of groomers in my neighborhood so I was skeptical at first about trying Petco but my pug puppy always comes back smelling fresh, shedding less, and less stressed when I get him back vs other places we’ve tried. I know they’re doing all the services I paid for, including care for his glands, paws, and nails (and he can be a handful). Their prices are unbeatable and Ashley has a great rapport with him.

Good pet store with ample supplies for anything you need in a hurry. Only down is that prices for leash, collars, clothes are more expensive than what you can get anywhere else online.Store always has attentive employees who can help answer any questions.

Went to give my dog a bath self serve. Watered down shampoos, towels that so thin they did nothing to dry my dog. Wire brush was all bent and couldn’t brush my dog. 20.00 and the equipment was bad and unable to use. When I came in the counter had two managers there and they completely ignored me and walked away. I said excuse me can someone help me. They called over a girl from the other end of the store! Very poor management!

I go to this petco all the time and the staff is really nice. On the down side, you can't do their walk-in grooming services as advertised because they don't have enough staff for it and they're always booked.

This is my Poppa's and my Gracie go to place they LOVE this place its like taking a kid to the candy store. The staff are awesome, decent selection for store size and I love when they have clothes on sale!!!!!

Went for the self wash doggie bath. I had been to an unleashed before and found the self bath to be wonderful, but not at this location. The entire area was a mess. The tub was full of hair and surrounded by water. The taps & water temperature weren’t working properly. I spent most of my time adjusting the taps as it would suddenly go very hot. The towels they supply are actually funny ( unless you are bathing a chihuahua, these thread bare hand towels won’t do much)There is nobody there to help if you do run into problems. I only saw one employee who was at the cash desk. Props to that person for making the experience a little better. A friendly cashier.

If I could leave ZERO stars I would! I took my dog to get a grooming told them to leave it a good length and without telling me or notifying me they left my poor labradoodle BALD , they said it was “matted” and that’s why they HAD to do it ……. They didn’t consult with us and just decided to cut his hair off completely ! The groomer did not know like he had knowledge of what he was doing! Completely unsatisfied , never returning

Wish they were open before 10am. I see so many people walk up to the doors, upset they aren't open before 10am. I have to drive to target in Burbank to get my dogs products which is way out of my way! Sad.

false advertisement. A lady called me to confirm my puppies age and vaccinations. I let her know that my puppy had just gotten her puppy shots and I wasn’t sure if they were included. She told me it would be fine. I called off work to bring her in the next day and Yoko and Gen tell me otherwise. They say that they can’t take her cause she doesn’t have her rabies shot even though the other girl had said yes. I’d understand liability but at least make sure you’re all on the same page regarding this stuff. Now I’ve wasted hours of work and personal time

There’s not the best selection here. The cat’s section is almost nonexistent. And they usually are out of stock for cat foods. I do understand it’s only an Unleashed Petco and is a smaller store. And I only shop for a cat so I’m not sure how it is for dogs.My biggest pet peeve is the fact that they close so early. This is a pretty populated area with the nearest Petco or PetSmart being a a couple of miles or so away. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Place is great. They have so many products to choose from for your pets. The only problem I have is that at times there's a station closed to bathe your dog. So instead of 3 there's only 2. The wait is long, knowing that there really isn't A time limit to wash your dog. Example: A man was washing a dog at the same time as a woman was. His dog was bigger and when he finished, it was my turn. I have a 5 month old GS, but he's big already. When I was done, she was still with her dog. Anyway, catch my drift?

Amazing store if you looking for specific items for your pets, I like this store better than Petco or Petsmart. Quantity and quality here are always best and enough. Customer service was very nice and friendly. My dog was feeling good baing Inside and seen that much different toys.

They made changes to the Vital Care that make no sense.... who pays almost 20 dollars a month for a discount? Mine is not supposed to be changed and they have issues every time it's time to pay. My groomer is good with our dog.

Nice , small , but cute store. Unleashed is owned by Petco ....... We had a great experience with the groomer's they where great and excellent service. Reasonable prices........
