These guys are pros! I’ve visited many bird/parrot places recently and this is not the fanciest one but the people definitely know what they are doing, are super knowledgeable and care a lot about birds. Once we got talking they gave us so much information about different kinds of birds. They also hand feed and train their birds so you’ll get a very chilled and trained birds. I would recommend and will probably be going back once I am ready for a bird!

I definitely would recommend this store for buying your birds or for purchasing toys for your bird. The birds are pretty pricey for ones you’d originally find cheaper in other places, but what you’re getting out of it is a wonderful lifelong companion. I’ve gotten a bird here one or two years ago and he is just the sweetest thing with the most adorable personality! The high prices are also a way for people to not buy a bird right out on a whim, but instead know what they’re getting themselves in for, especially since you’re never forced to purchase something in here or swayed into doing so. The staff is very knowledgeable about their birds and seem to keep their cool on very busy days (which can be difficult running a store with a lot of birds). The cages for the smaller birds are a bit small, but they’re usually accompanied by a friend and they all seem sweet nonetheless. Each time we visit here there’s always a new bird with a unique personality. All of their birds seem very healthy, which is something to be desired when it comes to bird shops.

The staff is very knowledgeable, I have no complaints there. We just bought our albino cockatiel from this location that cost $300, which is fine. They told us toReturn the bird after a week so they can weigh him and if he loses too much weight they’ll need to keep him for a week, show him love and feed him and get him back to his original weight before we pick him up again in a week and that’s exactly what happened. We pick up our bird after a week and it had lost most of its feathers on its head and his white feathers were bloody. They apologized to us claiming that he was in a cage fight with another bird :/ I thought my bird would be taken care of over there but he wasn’t. Also since my bird is back home, he’s just not the same anymore. Something feels off. I definitely did not appreciate that one bit.

Good selection of birds but staff was mean spirited. I brought my bird to groom his nails. He started screaming. Hes always afraid but he never screamed elsewhere. Turns out his foot was hurting.

This place is amazing I would recommend it they have a lot of birds to choose from and the reason that the some of the birds are $1000 is that there all DNA tested and disease tested and you will have a healthy bird for a long time, also it come with free grooming. The workers are very nice and I got a sun cheek from here and he is so nice the best bird ever!

I'm not a bird owner, but my friend has purchased goods for and has boarded his bird here (we picked up his Jardine's on the way back from a work-related trip).Boarded birds get tons of interaction with other fair-feathered friends and enjoy clean cages and healthy food. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and LOVE all their bird clientele.

Fast and friendly service. They even let you play with the birds inside. They have baby birds which is a plus. All birds are hand fed and raised so they are super chill and loving. I bought a love bird and she is super healthy ans friendly. Thank you

Recently adopted our new Derbyan from here. Staff was very helpful throughout the process and showed care and concern for my new family member. Weekly weigh-ins and checkups. I also brought our older Derbyan for grooming and the results were better than everywhere else I've been. The store is very loud though, as most birds love to talk, so be mindful if you or anyone you bring has sound sensitivities. I will absolutely recommend The Perfect Parrot to friends and family.

The shop is fantastic and they have a great variety of parrots and cockatiels. Kim was so nice and took the time to show me around and answer my questions. Sadly, I had a disturbing experience with a guy who worked there, his name was Tyler, because I accidentally entered into an area for private birds (that has no signage to not enter whatsoever), Tyler started yelling at me in a demeaning tone and language that was completely racist and abrasive! I was so hurt and called him out for it and requested an apology yet he confronted me and didn’t want to apologize back. It is so sad and unfortunate that racists still get away with hurting people.

Let me say I do hate that they sell birds , I k ow I know , but I do rescue so ,,,, but that does not make me judge their morality! Kim is amazing and extremely knowledgeable and so was the other lovely lady working there. They were extremely busy but kept thier cool! Even with clueless customers bringing in boisterous dogs the owners were kind and considerate!Birds were all well taken care of and all looks healthy.It’s a bit crowed but also no judging as birds do love company. I give them 4stars because I can tell they love birds and do their best to find their birds good homes. I have to remind myself this is a business not a rescue so in that regard I give them 4 stars and definitely will go back to buy bird food and supplies, I would rather support them than Amazon!!Good place of your into buying birds and they guide you through the whole process!!

PLEASE READ!!My family and I went to go see if we could get 2 birds for me and my brother. They have a wide variety of birds and supplies. I am not here to complain, but I do not really recommend this place. The cages that have the birds in seem really crowded. Some of the birds did NOT seem happy. My little siblings saw birds stuck in very small cages that were screaming because it was too crowded. Another thing is that the birds are too overpriced, I’ve seen birds of the same species that are for around 100-200 dollars, but most of theirs are over 1000. One of the workers there was kind of rude to my younger cousin too. He wanted a bird to share with his grandpa and he said to his mom that he had 30 bucks for one. But the worker interrupted his and his mother’s conversation and said “We don’t have birds that are 30 dollars”. And it wasn’t even his business. He is only 8. There are better places you can buy your birds. Please listen to my review. There are a lot of good reviews but I’m pretty sure these other people just buy their birds from the first place they can find. I’m not here because I want to complain, I just want other people to find better bird shops. Have a good day and thank you for reading this review if you did!

Best place in town for all things birds! Shout out to Kim and Diana who are so helpful. The people who leave negative reviews are probably thinking the earth revolves around them and they’re the only customers in the store....but anywho, their birds are super socialized and the staff is knowledgeable about all things birds! (Quick tip, if u have an emergency with your bird, take them here first and you’ll probably save yourself from a $600 vet bill) thank you perfect parrot!

I wouldn't trust my birds in anyone else's hands. Even the vet's office doesn't groom as well as they do. They are knowledgeable and patient to answer any questions I have. The store is impeccably clean which, with birds, is so important. I've been coming here for years and won't go anywhere else. Many reviews say the staff aren't friendly-that's not true. They might not be warm and fuzzy but I've never met people who care more about the birds, the customers, and their shop. Look past the desire to have warm and fuzzy the moment you want in and you will not be disappointed in the service you get from here.

Phenomenal. My wife & I got a hand-raised Cockatiel from them. He is sweet, affectionate, and incredibly smart.The store staff are very knowledgeable & friendly, and have answered all of our questions. Kim is awesome. Perfect Parrot is a gem. I got my cockatiel Fiyero here over 2 years ago and he is the light of my life. Whenever I bring him in for grooming they take such good care of him. Diana and Kim are so knowledgeable and answer all questions I ask. They really care about every bird that comes in. A special shout out to Diana for taking REALLY good care of my baby when he had his little episode today. 100% get a bird here and support this business.

After visiting the majority of bird stores in the greater Los Angeles area I have concluded that Perfect Parrot is by far the best. They are the only store who seems to really care for and love their birds. The staff is so kind and knowledgeable. Got a Pionus from them and he is the sweetest thing as a result of being hand raised by them. If you are looking for a bird in LA, this is by far your best option.

I just bought two beautiful cocktail birds and they are amazingly gorgeous! I recommend this place to any bird lovers out there!!! The birds look healthy and they're not all crowded in one cage. I went somewhere else before I went to The Perfect Parrot and OMG the birds did not look healthy at all! That made me so sad but I couldn't take the risk of buying one and it die!!!😥

horrible service and complete disrespect from staff. unnecessary towel charge when grooming is promised FREE when bird is purchased from here. OVERCHARGING. their birds are being sold for 3x the price from other bird stores. stay as far away from here as possible. they are harsh on ur bird and inflict pain

Yes, they have a lot of birds to choose from, but none of them were well socialized. Furthermore, the reasons for my one star are: I was not greeted by any of the employees, even after being in the store for a while. When I asked for assistance, I wasnt even really acknowledged, just passed along to another employee. Secondly, I felt bad for the birds, they all seemed terrified of being handled. I even kept insisting just leave them be, but the worker insisted and ultimately I got bit, breaking the skin. Lastly, their prices were well above all the other shops I've been to. Mostly, I feel the birds are given much more love and attention at other local shops and it definitely shows in contrast to the birds at perfect parrot.

Spoke with Diana (Diane?) for questions regarding the right supplements for our young Green Cheek as her colors looked rather dull rather than vibrant. Diana was extremely knowledgeable and not only guided us with our initial concern, but she even diagnosed the issue! While we have gotten our birds from private breeders, we do love The Perfect Parrot for everything else!

I brought my bird over for nails and specifically said no wings grooming. But they did the wings anyways. Also due to COVID, they don’t accept the towel I brought, which is understandable. But they charge me 5 dollars after they finished everything without clarifying the situation first. They used a old dirty towel. I paid 5 dollars for nothing!!!!! I thought at least they would use a new towel and give me that one. Poor experience

Dont bring your bird here.I came in for a nail appointment, i spoke to Kim right when i walked in, i said i had a nail appointment, she asked for a minute so i walked around the store looking for toys for my grey. The other lady approached me and asked what i needed, i replied with "nails please" she then told me "okay grooming" i told her again, "no, nails". She then told me "okay, okay"She was so distracted trying to figure out who the other 2 birds belonged to not even listening to what i said.She clipped her last remaining feathers after i had a incident at a vet where they clipped her secondaries, this lady clipped my Grey's last remaining primaries, now she cant even fly 1 foot of the floor.My fiancee called, really upset, crying about our bird, Kim downsized our issue making it sound like it was okay.It is not okay nor acceptable that she left our parrot completely flightless.These people don't care about u or your bird. They just see u as a money sign.

I can see why this place gets such horrible reviews. I wanted to bring my Amazon in to have just 3 feathers cut, and Kim informed me that they normally charge $15.00 for that if you bring your own towel, and $20.00 if you don't. I said that I am bringing my own towel and she said that I can't during covid, and that I have to use one of their towels and pay $20.00. NO THANKS! Like I would let them wrap my bird in a towel that I have no clue where it's been. Even my veterinarian lets me use my own towel. They can just wash their hands after touching someone's towel! This is just a shady way to jack up the price, and it is not safe for the birds.

We had a great experience since the minute we walked in the shop.. we did 3 stops prior and there was not much to select from.. This place has multiple birds to choose from staff was very helpful they let us hold a few birds and gave us a brief description.. until we found one that our kids loved and the best part of all we realized our bird hatch day was 11/13/18 the same day as my birthday 💞🐣
