Decent hot springs...nice water and love the private tubs cleaned after use. But the area is nasty. Smells of poop and sludge frequent the air. As well as loads of pollution from all the farms around. Sooo...I wouldn't return.

We rent a spot by the year now.I first stayed here in 2008, and have come back many times. I like the quiet and solitude here. The pool and hot tubs are nice. Friendly people live here too.

Upon my arrival at Bashford's Hot Mineral Spa, I immediately sensed the extraordinary experience that awaited me. Nestled at the base of the majestic Chocolate Mountains, the spa's location offers more than just a beautiful view. The mountains create a peaceful and rejuvenating setting, integral to the spa's unique healing ambiance. The highlight of Bashford's is undoubtedly its hot mineral pools. Immersed in water that is both mineral-rich and perfectly tempered, I found my muscles relaxing and my skin revitalized. This is where the natural benefits of mineral water meet the tranquil desert environment, offering a truly singular experience.I must commend the staff at Bashford's for their exceptional service. Their warm hospitality made me feel completely at ease. Their attention to detail, professionalism, and dedication to exceeding guest expectations ensured my stay was flawless.Cleanliness and maintenance are crucial to me, and the spa's facilities did not disappoint. The immaculate condition of the premises, combined with the calming desert vistas, provided a much-needed retreat from everyday life. The variety of activities at Bashford's also stood out. From engaging in friendly poker games to browsing community garage sales and enjoying BBQ movie nights, the spa caters to a diverse range of interests. I especially savored the BBQ ribs after a playful night at poker, a perfect way to round off the evening. To sum up, Bashford's Hot Mineral Spa is a destination not to be missed. It promises and delivers an unmatched experience of relaxation and wellness for both locals and visitors alike. My visit left me rejuvenated, and I am eagerly looking forward to my next stay. I highly recommend it!

$35 for 24hrs of soaking and a spot to park a van or truck camper and or trailer. Tents may need to ask management. The soaking tubs can be made very warm with no chlorine. The spa was also nice next to the swimming pool.Safety: Rustic Hot tub watch the garden hose is very hot 🔥🔥🔥

I give Bashford Hot Springs a funky, five stars! Craig Bashford himself is a very sweet, unassuming, laid-back individual who inherited the place from his parents who built it back in the 60s! The swimming pool and Jacuzzi are really nice and clean and they look great but I really prefer the natural mineral pools which are about 4 ‘by 7’. They were rather ingeniously created in that after every person has their soak, you simply pull the plug on the drain, while using the plug to plug the incoming water then you simply hose it out and reverse the plug again and the next person is good to go. It takes maybe five minutes to completely drain it and hose it out. I really like the rustic nature. Despite the rustic nature, it is well-maintained. There’s no trash laying around and all the people are so friendly! love it! I’ll be back!

Visited it for the first time the other day Definitely will not be my last as it was a great experience. The pools, hot tubs, and resort in general are very well maintained, the water is nice and clean, and the staff are super friendly. And the prices are very reasonable.

I love Bashford’s. This place has a very peaceful vibe and it’s a perfect get away for some quiet time. Soaking in mineral tubs is just lovely, one is able to make it hotter with the extremely hot water coming from black hoses. Read the instructions they give you! The map they give you is well informed and Greg was great host. Thanks!!

We are staying here for 2 nights. Very nice place to stay. We came here to have a couple of relaxing days. We found relaxation here! Great Mineral Hot Springs rubs were great! Also had a great heated pool with a great hot tub! We surely found the relaxation we needed. The only bad experience we encountered was when we wanted to leave the park at 3:00 in the morning because we wanted to find a grocery store, we found out we were unable to leave because of a locked gate across the entrance of the park and we couldn’t leave. What if we had an emergency looking for medical help in the middle of the night and couldn’t get out? If there is some type of a code for this gate, we were not told about it. I don’t like being locked in a place with no way to get out if I needed to. Nobody checked us in when we arrived and when we went to the office about 10:00 am the day after we arrived to pay for our stay the office was closed. We put our registration and payment in a box. This was Saturday morning.

Retry funky RV park is mostly for retired folks andnot really meant for tent camping but showers r hot and the hot tub by the swimming pool is too. Mineral tubs were only luke warm. I would stay there again for the friendly interesting people, the view of the mountains and the closeness of activities like hiking and birding. Sunday was a little loud with atvs and parties in adjacent neighborhoods but Monday night was quiet.

Wow. The people here are so kind and inclusive! If you are searching for an RV park with a fun loving community look no further! Amazing musicians and great community dances. It is more rustic than some other fancy RV parks but it just has so much character! Give the people here chance, the chocolate mountain view is worth it alone.

Stopped in there in the middle of the night just needing a place to park the RV and sleep. There were RVs on top of RVs, but it was a self service deal that late at night. We were so grateful for a welcoming place to stay, even though unplanned. We didn't see any mineral springs during our short stay, but the owners were very kind people.

Really enjoyable time if you like laid back and friendly. It's half RV resort and half residential mobile homes. If you coming to have fun with people who are here in a peaceful setting then this is for you. Karaoke nights, hosted dances, aquatics classes and mineral spas highlight the enjoyment here. Retha Bashford is around to tell how they started it in 1956.

You can have your own personal spring. There are 6 I think. Also go for sharing to. Water is super hot! Definitely drink water while in the spring and a full body detox will be your way! No one is barely ever here when I go. Also there is a heated pool across the way with a hot tub. Watch out because the sun is full blast on that side of the sea since it is right next to the rocks. Love this spot!

The streets are made of gold, and every visitor receives a gleaming crown adorned with many gems and precious stones, placed on their head gingerly by a beautiful Eastern European woman while a lovely fanfare blares from hi-fi stereo system. From there, guests are escorted into an air-conditioned palanquin, which is hoisted up and onto the powerful shoulders of a team of eunuchs, who take guests on a brief (yet admittedly bumpy) ride as they traverse through the jungle — such transport being necessary so guests do not attract any fire leeches while wading across the hot-spring-fed moat which surrounds King Bashford’s palace. The palace itself is breathtaking, adorned with exquisite imported and dutifully restored frescoes of antiquity all along every wall of the four grand rooms which surround the inner cloister and it’s immaculately preserved Bashfordian Gardens. Near-pristine marble statues peer down at visitors with two-thousand year old eyes, beneath extravagant glimmering chandeliers which appear to be twice the size of the neighboring Bombay Beach, and the largest of which holds nearly 60,000 shimmering candles. At dusk, the reflection of the grand chandelier’s candles in the great western window give the appearance of an army of will-o-the-wisps dancing and glittering above the surface of the Salton Sea. Lining the floors beneath every wall, visitors find the intricately carved and unfathomably detailed sarcophagi in which slumber the god-kings of Bashford’s past (perceptive visitors will even notice that some still bear the scarring from the molten lead which rained down upon them during the shelling of the Great War). King Bashford himself greets every guest personally with a goblet of wine and a warm embrace as he descends the gleaming marble staircase below his throne, at the far western end of the cloister gardens. The weave of his royal robes can be quite abrasive against bare skin, but the unpleasant sensation is swiftly dulled by the honeyed wine as it come flowing from casks the size of Volvos, and visitors are invited to drink to their contention as they bathe tenderly in the great tubs, the ancient waters cascading over their bodies lulling them into a dreamless sleep… thankfully, the minerals present in the aquifers which feed the springs are sufficient to keep all but the most gargantuan of guests buoyant, and safely held above the surface as they smile gently even in their slumber, drifting ever closer to the great waterfalls and then disappearing gently over the sides as they ride into eternity. They also have propane for sale, which is handy, because there’s nowhere else nearby with reasonable prices.

If you make your way all the way out here then definitely take a soak in one of their tubs. I think it’s $10 or something if you just want to soak and not stay the night. The staff is really friendly and has been there for a very long time and we enjoyed all the stories told about the area and how the place was built. We always make sure to come by if we’re in the area and we never regret coming

Had to laugh at the one reviewer, David Somebody, saying this place is a tourist trap with nasty bodies in the pools. Where does this guy tour? Backwater Bulgaria? I'm not gonna say how great this place is cause I don't want to "spoil" it. It's funktastic and it's small and it's out in the middle of bumf*#k. Just the way I like it.

Private Hot Springs that hosts a park of friendly, elderly neighbors. I hear you need to be over a certain age to stake out here but it's worth it for the deep geological history there is to explore.
