⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I love Nob Hill Grocery Store. It's clean, neat and a little expensive but they always have what I want. The employees are very nice and courteous. The deli, bakery and the fried chicken is excellent! They even put my cases of water in my car for me! ❤️❤️❤️. I love the Newman CA store ❤️❤️❤️👍🏽👏🏽.

They price gouge as they know it's the only grocery store. Example today they are selling All Free and clear for $18.99 it is normally $7.99 at Safeway in Turlock it's $12.99. Their Best food mayo is a $1.00 more here than in Turlock, the Dawn dish soap is $2.00 more here. Why? There is no reason. I could go on. But leaving my basket and driving to Turlock.

Uggghh... I've been shopping here for 15 years. Yet some things should be addressed.I'm totally bummed with produce quality, lack of fresh organics, and the moths im regularly finding in some dry goods. I'm hoping to see improvements yet noticing I'm disposing of goods before expiration dates or seeing mold or wilted produce prematurely. Bummer considering the increased investment as of late. This I've noticed only in the last year, so of course, as our only local option, I'm hopeful improvements are coming soon. Not to mention the flowers that wilt after a few days, that's another opportunity for improvements, I've noticed. I'm not sure if other residents have experienced similar, however I'm sharing to inspire better quality control for our family investment. I find myself driving to Los Banos or Turlock instead more often lately. Blessings. My intention in sharing this not so positive review is to foster improvements to the healthy quality of the foods we nourish our bodies with. A bigger store like Nob Hill should have better options to offer. Perhaps more local non gmo produce and products make healthy sense for our community...? What are your thoughts? Experience? Is it just me disposing of items I just bought? Yes, when I take the time to return it or share pictures, I'm reimbursed or receive replacement if available but I should not have to do this to the point where I'm just taking the loss so to speak instead of dealing with the inconvenience of returning, etc. Okay! I truly hope this helps our one little local store improve. Blessings to all! I am not one to complain. I am grateful for the convenience of a local supermarket; I just want it to be super for all of us, including the terrific staff at our local store.

Why is it every time I shop at local store it's a bad experience? Except for one occasion with management. One issue was when I've gone to get water that was on sale for members after entering number on key pad it couldn't find my number cleak ask me to enter it again and still not found, so now clerk says I need to pay full price yet I'm a member! All I got was a NO I need to pay full price. There was one person behind me so not wanting to leave the cart there blocking other customer behind me I was moving it out of the way and clerk grabbed the cart like I was going to head out the door when I told the guy I'm moving it out of the way. Next is he didn't offer to try and help to see why my number wasn't working.Issue two I go in to shop and have two coupons for a couple things off my list, ask woman clerk if she needs my coupons she says no well I get home look at reciept and was charged full price for the two items not right second time this has happened to me.Next is your basic courtesy a Hi , Good Morning, a have a great day ect. This young lady says hi and bye to customers before me in line so she's definitely not having a bad day. So my turn to check out I say hi to clerk she just looks at me without a word and continues ringing up my groceries without a word wow was it cause I'm dark skinned Philipino.The prices are high, and being disabled and without a vehicle I have no choice but to shop here , so please get it together we are the customers here who shop local.Resident of 8 years and fed up with this store.

Great, friendly customer service, always with a genuine smile. Love their bakery...fantastic variety of just yummy goodness as far as your taste buds dare take you. So fresh, so unique are their options of cakes, pies, donuts, cookies. Outstanding. Produce is fresh, meat department is up to par. Store is very clean. Check stands are made odd and a little uncomfortable but doable. Every visit, employees go out of their way to see if I need assistance. In this day and age of ring up your own items, bag your own groceries, and basically do my job for me, this is rare and getting harder and harder to come by. Prices are reasonable as well. Not rock bottom but fair.

Mangers really do an excellent customer service job. But in deli not so much. Check your order before leaving (ham became turkey, 3/4 lbs became 1/4 lbs).management fixed the errors. Produce always looks good. Good selection in bakery. Store is kept clean. Meat department will slice sizes to order.

This store is very clean and well-lit, and a pleasant place to shop. It is however pretty pricey unless you stick to discounted items. Mondays there is a $5 sale on a random group of groceries, for example 32 oz of cheese for 5 bucks is one of the better deals. And you can apply for a discount card to earn points for savings on things you buy a lot. There is a house brand on many staple items that also cuts the cost of shopping here. All in all one of the better stores in my area if you stay mindful of the prices.

My family has been shopping here since moving to Newman and California back in 2011. We very much enjoy shopping here. In addition to the convenience of the location being minutes away, we have found the store to typically be clean, well lit and well organized .The bakery is top notch making custom cakes and muffins, etc that are fresh and delicious!The prices are average, not great, but they always have deals going on. The cashiers and other employees working are friendly, courteous and helpful. Highly recommend to anyone who lives in or is visiting Newman.

So sick of my food items disappearimg during checkout. A whole chicken and salad missing? I've had to go in and demand my alcohol that the left behind the counter. Sick of these thieves, with management doing nothing when I can't me to them

Deli employees NOT very good about customer service. Bakery guy hides in the back. Sushi and sandwich makers hide in the back and pretends not to notice customers. That leaves 1 lone person to do deli orders. If you mind the wait, check out prepackage items. Management unable to get better customer out of deli employees, despite complaints. Grocery staff very good with customer service always very helpful. Deli staff better this week.

First time stepping foot in a Nob Hill and it wasn't too bad. I needed a birthday cake in a hurry. Their sheet cakes left something to be desired. Only white cake, that's it. No filling, or flavors of any kind. But they had an awesome selection of fancy round cakes so I got 2 of them. Pricey but a big hit. Delicious. Tiaramizu, and a chocolate with strawberry and coffee flavor. Well frosted and designed. Had some good sale prices on other stuff too.

This location is not as clean as other nobhill or raleys stores that ive been too. The products on the shelve arent as fresh either i believe its because its located in a very small town but the prices are still super high and well id rather drive 15 mins down the road to walmart in patterson then spend too much on over priced goods from this nob hill at this location, despite living 5 mins from this store,that's pretty sad!

It's so difficult to shop here the prices are so expensive their products are horrible the fried chicken is so so bad now that we are not going to buy it anymore going to the gas station to now get fried chicken sad make sure you double check your package of food got a bag of fresh noodles and went to cook them only to find mildew we have been doing shopping there to long to see this horrible

The employees here are very helpful and happy I'm great conversationalists. I and my family come here to get all of our groceries and Nob Hill does a wonderful job supplying us with everything we need including a movie here and there for a movie night (there is a Redbox there). They have a decent selection of organic foods at a good price.

I've already had it with their prices and they spend way too much time talking to each other and to customers about things not business related. I went in tonight with a lot of coupons and with $5 Monday I asked the cashier, Robert, to please be careful and check things so there wouldn't be any mistakes. He threw my items down the register as quickly as he possible could saying if there is a problem I'll tell you. (No one was waiting behind me) He told me that it would be regular price for another roll of paper towels that I had gotten thinking it would qualify for the $5 Monday. I said no and he set it to the side. Well not only did he take the paper towels away but he charged me full price. God knows what else he did that I didn't catch. When I found the error and went back, "sorry", he says. "No problem here's your $9." I then said yes there is a problem. Here I am AGAIN tonight when I asked you to slow down and check everything and you speed through it and blow it AFTER I asked you not to fly through it. And it was a VERY smart ass, "Sorry. Have a good night" I will go there ONLY when I have no choice and I will spend the bare minimum. Sorry!

I was just passing through but recognize a good store when I see one. I liked this place. Friendly staff, nice deli & fresh meats, good variety, good organic produce selections. Well stocked throughout. Peets coffee (both brewed and in bulk), friendly staff, in-store postal center and mailboxes. Easy parking too!

Beautiful store, employees very nice and helpful. Everyone has their masked on, not a very big store but yet had everything you need, very nice vegetables section also the meat section, nice and fresh meat. Would go there for a weeks groceries.

I absolutely love this store. It's a beautiful store with everything you can think of. Their Deli is wonderful they have a good assortment of every kind of lunch meat and cheese that you can think of. The only problem I have with this store is the prices on everything is more than double than any other Store around. They need to come down on their prices .

An absolutely exquisite cheese selection. In the evenings I like to roam around the cheese section to forget about my wife, Veronica, who left me and took everything. I would recommend the smoked Gouda and aged Swiss to anyone who shops there. 5/5.
