Wreaks like mildew today, but definitely could be all the employees smoking cigarettes right in front of the door. They didn’t even care that I’m having to carry my baby through the smoke when I was going in and out today. I hope management sees this and gets on them about smoking further away from the front of the store because they don’t care that children and customers are present, it was seriously disgusting and I used to love the employees at this location.

I love this store! Great price on cleaning products, cat litter and adult coloring books. The toy aisle is good for children get an allowance because they can afford the cheap prices. Great for greeting cards at 50.-1.00 and they have Hallmark too! Love the holiday decorations too! They have some groceries also. The people that work there are really nice!

I enjoy coming here for cheap snacks and clothing. There is a very friendly and talkative worker here at this location. There is a Redbox outside in the front on the left side of the entrance for your movie and video game renting needs. My family and I come here frequently and have not been disappointed with the quality of items we were expecting to see. Cheap and quick for anyone looking to save a buck here and there. Do you enjoy shopping here?

It's a good place to go for some great deals. The staff is friendly and helpful. I wish the store was bigger. I also would have liked if they had a better selection of diet caffeine free sodas. It's a nice, clean store.

They have things that you can use at a very good price. The only problem they don't have everything that you look for. People are very friendly and very helpful oh, and you can almost consider them like your friends. I always enjoy seeing them when I come into the store.

Store is clean. Temperature comfortable. Some stores over compensate when it is hot outside then you freeze while shopping. This one did not, thankfully. I found everything I wanted. Cashier was fast, efficient, and friendly.

Large Dollar General store. Easy to see from the street, easy in & out of parking lot. Store seemed well stocked, except for cleaning supplies which there were very few. They had plenty of cold drinks and cases of bottled water. We did not see any shopping carts. I'm not sure if they were stolen, broken or ???

Maybe I'm just not super familiar with how Dollar Generals are, but this seems like a bit of an odd store. For example, they carry just one kind of diet soda, but they've got plenty of the sugary stuff, lots of canned items, pretty good prices on cleaning supplies, plus they carry bags of ice. One time I bought a giant snow shovel here!

This Dollar General is acceptable. Everything is as it should be. Only issue I noticed was the staff. The females have a tendency to be annoyed at having to deal with customers. Which a ridiculous notion but obvious none the less. Once they stop rolling their eyes and grudgingly begin to ring up your items, they continue to chat amongest themselves, which makes you feel invisible. And if you try to join in on their conversation, which I did if course to purposely annoy further, they look at you like your the walking dead, hidieousus and ugly. Smile real big and make a witty comment, it's fun. Other then all that, as always, great bargains, great variety, and a clean store.

I love this place because all staff are very friendly courteous and always helpful they are like family if I don't find items they would go above and beyond to help me out all the time....in the evenings when there less staffed, they still try to help...everyone just need to be patient..they also need to make ends meet! they are also human and there to help us..thank you god bless ...my regular store in Newman

It was ok but they are always out of key items in the soda section I would say they need to call the vendor and tell them to restock these items especially during holidays because this is just hurting business when I have visited this store the staff is very nice I spend at least a hundred a week their but when I have to go to other store to buy soda it sure work be nice to be able to buy the soda I need their from coke please look into delivery options thank Cheryl Demello

MUST OF THOUGHT BCUZ THEY REDECORATED THE STORE WE WOULDNT MIND THE HIGHER PRISES AT THE CASH REGISTER. OH AND I LIKE THE NEW SELF CHECK OUTS I HAVE FUN DOING IT. ALSO I REALLY LIKE THE 2 MALE EMPLOYEES THEY ARE NICE AND HELPFUL. NEVER RUDE OR WAIST TIME TALKING TO THE CUSTOMER WHEN THERES A LINE OF PEOPLE WAITING SO LOWER THE PRICES AND WOULD BE BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS FOR THE PEOPLE NOT THE GREED.

The Dollar General in Newman is a nice clean store the employees are always nice and efficient the only problem that I've run into and not often I'd a long line because and only because one is out to lunch or break ,& that isn't even bad cause I still go there and I hate long waits so I say u take alittle bad but the good outweighs even that do I say go people to the Dollar General bin Newman you'll love it .

It's always a mess in there and most of the time when I go in there certain things they are always out of stock, could be run and managed a bit better but they have a good staff that's what makes me give them a 3 and not a 2 star rating.

8 year old son had to use the restroom and they said it was out of orderI don't think dollar General can employ employees without a working restroom but not sureAisle were pack of stuff

The prices are good and the products are decent. However they put displays in the center of the walkway which makes it hard for people to navigate around each other with carts.

They have a wide selection from Men's & Women's close, Summer shoes, pet supply's. They do have food but a very poor frozen food selection.
