We stopped in here for a few supplies. We are from out of town and appreciate the smaller hardware stores to the big box hardware stores. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The clean restrooms were also a bonus. Thank you so much for a great shopping experience.

I like this place, I would rather pay more knowing I am supporting a local family business. The staff is always knowledgeable and friendly, something you won't get at one of the larger chains.

very helpful. found what we needed. We like that they aren't a "big box" place but have what we needed. they were a little assertive with the assistance but it could be because I think it was close to closing time. It's a bit of a drive across town for us so not convenient to our location but I think worth the extra drive. We will do business with them again.

Good selection of stuff! Great staff. And the owners have managed to retain them even while workers are quitting everywhere else. It's starting to get that old Newhall Hardware feel where you get to know all the employees. We should all at least try to support local small business, and this store makes it easy!

This is a wonderful local hardware shop that has a large assortment of gear which reduces any necessities for traveling to a big box retailer.The staff is friendly and knowledgeable with amazing customer service and they are always willing to help you immediately. Try THAT at Home Depot. You never have trouble finding anyone.For 85 to 90% of anything I ever need, I can find it here

Awesome store! Great hometown hardware store. Got a very nice selection of quality tools that I’ve purchased as well. So happy this place opened and I hope they stay.People there are super nice and normal and helpful! Don’t be afraid to askThey got a bit of everything. Great to have them back. This store is so convenient and the service is great. I don't like driving across town especially when it's an emergency. Case in point, my water pressure regulator started leaking sometime yesterday morning. When over to Newhall Hardware and got a replacement. It's nice when you can find what you need quickly!

Very disappointed, bought some hardware, long story short didn’t have to use it, so went to return it, in the little bags that they mark with prices they write, and receipt in hand that matches. Thin lady with blond/ white hair, scurried off to the back to figure price, why I don’t know everything matched, comes back, gives me half of the value of the receipt! I advised, I returned everything on that receipt thus full refund was in order, her response was, no you didn’t, she was curt and dismissive. Everything was returned, I was careful to return everything on the receipt. The money was not issue, her poor attitude was the ballgame. I didn’t give you a bad review you earned it, too bad because all the other employees were nice and courteous. Hint lady part of customer service is listening to the customer and paying attention to what they’re saying, rushing around and not paying attention is not customer service. No worries, there are other hardware stores.

Wow! I needed a product to take with me to Mexico and called every store in SCV and no one had it, and it was too late to order it on line. Yesterday, I spoke to Davey (sp?) and he was kind enough to get it for me from another store and I was able to pick it up today! Talk about great customer service! All the reviews I read about this family owned store are true! You walk in and are greeted immediately and asked if you need help finding something. Great store, great staff, great customer service, I'm in love!

Excellent old school friendly service. You can get what you need in under 5 minutes or walk the aisles and enjoy your shopping. They even replaced my broken screens. I am glad to support buying local at Newhall Hardware.

They have the best service I've ever seen and they will follow through all the way to the cash register with you which is fantastic. Also I live in newhall and I've always wanted a hardware store in newhall and now we've had it for a while now so happy about that too! Good job true value.

Wow! The staff here give good advice no matter what home project you're working on. Jimmy, Patrick and especially Oliver provide fast, friendly and knowledgeable help. I could not ask for more. Why would I drive a few miles to go to one of the big box retailers when I can patronize a local business like Newhall Hardware? The prices and inventory are comparable but it's the customer service that sets this business apart from its competition. Five stars!

This area has been without a local hardware store for years, so when they went in a couple years ago it was great news. For a small store, they stock just about anything and everything you might need around the home. There is always somebody ready to help you standing by. The prices are not much different than what you'd find at the huge home centers, sometimes even less. I for one am extremely happy to have them close by, and visit them often.

This was the only store in all of SCV who was able to create the paint color I was looking for! Davy took extra time to teach us about the different paints and primers, as well as answered questions from his personal experience which made us more confident in the products we were buying! We will 100% return to this store for all of our future renovation needs. BTW Davy- the paint color is PERFECT!!!

This place saved my @$$. Christmas eve and all of the plumbing places that carried pex and cpvc are closed. I had a kitchen leak and these came to the rescue. They had tons of shark bite fittings as well as a stock of pet by the foot. Life savers. Support family owned local business.

Changed my review from 1 to 5 stars with the new owners. The new ownership here is great, the store always has what I need and the staff is very helpful. I come here regularly now and living in Newhall I don’t have to drive all the way across town for my projects!

I go here when I just want one screw, not a whole bag. Helpful, friendly staff. Decent selection of stuff. They have everything the bigger stores have for the most part, just in smaller quantities. Plenty of parking and wide store aisles.

I made my last trip to true value today. The store is good for a home owner that needs 1 or 2 things, but is useless for a contractor. I gave them 4 shots and I'm 0 for 4. I was very excited when true value moved into Newhall But without a large selection they're just a waste of time

Best staff ever. Since the new owners came in early last year this store is stocked with whatever you need without the big box feel. Even if you need special order they can deliver.

Unfortunately Newhall hardware went out of business years ago. This place is actually "True Value" Hardware. Either way they are friendly, provide good service and usually have what your looking for! Great little store in a convenient location.

Have most of what you need.I still miss Newhall Hardware.Edit: They no longer have most of what you need as they can't keep the shelves stocked. Pity.Edit#2: As of March 2019, new owners have restored and restocked to the brim. Yay!
