Best saltwater fish and coral store in the east bay.The 2 guys that own the place are friendly and helpful. Sometimes they are limited on selection of fish, but their corals look very healthy and are well priced. They keep their prices low by fragging things small but that's good for those with smaller tanks that want to grow their coral.

I got to this store in search of good fishes for my aquarium (Freash Water) . I came to know a lot about corals though owner knows i was not lookng for it . But he spent complete 45 minutes with explaining how and what about corals . its very close to my place and I liked the response , enthusiasm and professionalism by the shop owner.Good place if you want to have corals and get good details about it.

Small store, but huge selection of corals. Everything looks nice and healthy. Smaller selection of fish that is hit or miss. Owners are friendly and very helpful. Clearly very knowledgeable about their trade. Good resource for your saltwater needs.

Great people, great knowledge, honest and willing to help. Also, good selection of coral and fish, I like the fact that they are willing to order specific specimens of fish or coral. Got several good deals and definitely my go to salt water fish store in the Bay Area.

When I walked in the store it looked like it was in the middle of revovation or closing. The staff assured me it has been like that for a while. Did not give me the best confidence but I am always will to support a local store. The stores prices seem fair and the staff was nice but there corals are full of pests and aptaisa. I bought 4 corals and found aptaisa growing on all of them. It took a me quite a long time to clear them out. Be very careful what you buy from them.

I really like this store they have an excellent selection of corals that other stores do not have as well as reasonable prices. I would recommend this place to anyone whether they are a beginner or expert as the staff is very helpful and can help you with just about anything

California Reef helped me set my first fish tank. They have a sound knowledge about fresh water and salt water fish tanks, explained me the process step by step and gave right guidance throughout the process. Very honest and passionate in their opinions. Most importantly their saltwater fish collection is impressive, limited but unique freshwater fishes, turtles.

Being a hobbyist for 40 years and seeing many LFS open and close, California Reef Co. definitely rates in the top tier. Anthony is incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and carries stock of corals and fish which are rarely seen for sale (the Hall of Fame, Holy Grail, etc. of stock). I highly recommend visiting and more importantly SUPPORTING this business. We may not see another like it in the Bay Area.

Great place to buy coral frags and reef fish. They have yellow tangs, clown fish, crabs and fish supplies. I bought a yellow tang recently and its a healthy and happy fish

Waste of time. Went in 4 days ago saw a pair of clown fish for 60 come back to buy them and all of a sudden they were labeled wrong when he goes to pull them from the tank. Nobody says anything when you walk in or the entire time your there. Better off going the extra few miles to san jose shops.

I went here to pick up some freshwater fish someone donated to the store. I don't have any salt water tanks, but looked they had plenty of frags and fish.
