I'm a current renter of their storage area. Over Memorial weekend the manager there confronted me at the gate while I was searching for my remote to enter. She was very harsh and kept telling me I couldn't be there and the pool was closed she finally drove away yelling that I couldn't be inside without a remote. I found my remote and had used the bathroom when she returned. I was sitting in my car looking for my phone. She locked the pool gate then came to my car window and told me the pool was closed 2 more times which I told her I wasn't using the pool. She told me the entire area was closed and I was not to be there. At this point I noticed she appeared to be drunk. I asked her if this was so she claimed she didnt drink. I asked her why was she harassing me a customer of the place. She denied this and sat in her golf cart watching me. I found my lost phone and parked in front of my trailor in which she followed me and sat and watched again. At this point I was to intimidated to go to my trailor and I stayed in my car. She finally left. This was uncalled for treatment and especially to do this while she was drunk. All night long a loud party went on I finally fell asleep around 3am which this party continued late into the following day and night. I find it strange her over concern with me yet allowed a loud party to go on. I don't think she has been there long but her actions were unprofessional. Im looking into taking my trailer else where. This park has always been a well kept park and the noise level was always reserved. Customers are no longer treated well and allnight parties are allowed.Unhappy storage customer

My family and I stayed in bungalow 59 A. There is one bedroom and a pull-out bed. Since it was my wife and my daughter we thought the one bedroom would suffice for our sleeping arrangements. Unfortunately the pull out bed's frame was broken and dropped at a significant angle. The mattress was so thin, it caused the springs to poke through and stab her. The rest of the bungalow was old and outdated and the table on the patio was very dirty. For the amount we were charged, we should have been provided with the accommodations that was advertised and expected, but we did not get that. I requested some sort of refund but after calling four or five times with only one call back while I was working and no emails back I figured it was a lost cause.

Paul from Desmiones IA. I spent the winter Dec 2021-March 22. I loved the place. Perfect spot and plenty of space for my 5th wheel. At times windy the desert dust sucks. Laundry and weight room very nice. And propain dilevery every week if your in a pinch. Side by sides are loud but so what its .Wish id had one to play in the desert with.Staff is great Tammy very nice and helpful. I'm scheduled to be there again this winter but instead I have to deal with winter life in Iowa. Maybe next year. Happy holidays.

We store our boat here since we primarily use it at Lake Mojave whenever we get a chance in the summer. Very reasonable and well maintained storage facilities. We like that no matter what time of day (or night) we are ready to pick up our boat we have safe and secure access to it. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. My kids love the pool and the rest area is always clean. We just stop by on our way in from the L.A. area to pick it up, and drop it off on the way out! We can even leave straight from the lake since there are showers, a pool and picnic area for storage customers too!!! 😊

We love this place! The people are what make it special. It’s like a family here, better even. Lots of snowbirds like me return year after year. There are lots of community activities and the the facilitators do a fabulous job. Everyday there is something fun going on. The positives far outweigh the negatives here, but the negatives are the pool is fabulous but not heated so no one gets to swim in winter, also be prepared for an outrageous electric bill that will be over 3 times your regular bill.

We called and called around after hours in the Palms River resort were the only ones that answered and gave us a place to spend the night. Safe and secure for RVs and quiet too. Make sure that you have a 50 amp converter if your rig is 30. Tammy was great answering the phone and helping us out

It was an okay stay most of the people were friendly. There were rude people as well that would tell us to be quiet because people were sleeping. There were women smoking at the pool in front of my children. We are on vacation it’s supposed to be fun & worry free but a couple on a golf cart were harassing us so we ended our night. There isn’t a cleaning person & they don’t give you extra towels. You also get charged 100 extra if you leave any trash behind which you would think a cleaning person does. Besides all that the room is homey & the view from the river is beautiful.

Nicest RV park in Needles. Well kept and clean. Nice pool and clean gym. The beach area by the boat ramp is a little small and needed that trash taken out every time we were there. Very quiet park, very friendly staff. They have a nice little store also.

We stayed in our RV in one of the RV sites and it had nice elbow room and a nice picnic table under a tree. BUT, if you want to do your laundry you’ll have to carry all of it as there is NO parking AT ALL, not even short term, near the pool/hot tub area which is where the main laundry room is, this includes if you want to swim or soak in the hot tub in the evening you’ll have to walk home wet and cold. They boast they have 3 laundry rooms but one of them is literally in a wooden shed, also NO PARKING, and the other is in what I would describe as a small closet at the very back outside entrance of the huge red barn, parking in front, with only one washer and one dryer, no folding table, NOTHING, and barely enough room to bend over to get your laundry in and out, not to mention the most expensive load of clothes I’ve ever done. This was very inconvenient for us because we were staying in the area for a couple weeks. The “private beach” was ridiculously small compared to what I expected from what I saw on their website. Also tons of off road vehicles speeding down the street, going 15 to 20 miles over the posted speed limit, It was loud and I felt unsafe walking my dogs. It’s a very well maintained place with a beautiful pool that the permanent residence probably enjoy but for a long stay in an RV, overpriced and inconvenient and I felt their website descriptions and pictures were deceiving.

This is a convenience store so the name may be misleading. They DO offer lots of snacks, beverages and souvenirs.UPDATE: this is now a full resort with camping available. The store is well stocked , it is on the mighty Colorado River and the improvements are beautiful to the eye.Fenced and gated so clearly the thought for use, privacy and safety has gone into the development of an outdoor resort.Yes, you should try itm

Completely rude. Me & my wife got stuck on the river due to a raft popping and everything we had submerging under water. We made it to the next thing that wasn't desert which ends up being the palms. So we get out and gather our things as quickly as we can (trying not to disturb any guest, in which we saw none) but so we walked up to the store to get out of their resort and the see if our phones would work when we plugged them in and to get a drink of water. The lady working there comes out and tells us to leave the property immediately or else she's calling the cops. I explain our situation and she didn't care because we asked someone for help in front of her store. So me and my wife walked all the way to needles for no reason really and had to leave all our stuff in front of the palms. We made it to needles, plugged in out phones and got a ride like we tried to do in the first place, just without the hospital degree sun burn on our arms, back, and legs. When the lady's we were going to ask for a ride were obviously highly intoxicated and driving, so we decided against it and asked if they possibly had a couple dollars so we could hopefully get a ride from the next person if we gave them the couple dollars. The intoxicated women driving seemed to be some part of the resort. I'm glad they promte breaking the law and life risking. It's a shame because I remember it being a much more nicer person filled last time I went. Oh yeah, I guess I had money in my pocket that time though. The sign said " dock here for refreshments at the store " yet we were told we weren't even allowed to walk through.

We stayed at this place last New Year's eve and we loved it!The staff was accommodating, the pool and club house facility was great and the RV spots were easy to navigate (we had a pull through site that even fit our trailer). You car ride your UTV/ATV right out of the park and connect to unending trails that lead to fun destinations either along the river or through the desert.Though we were not there during the boating season I can see how this place is very conducive to that too being that it's on the river's edge and having a nice launching ramp and docks as well. The new year party in the Red Barn was really fun.The band was good, the food was good and the atmosphere was great! As it is with any party where there is alcohol there will be some unruly people, so I would not recommend attending with smaller children if you are worried, especially as it gets closer to midnight. But all in all we had a great time! (Oh, and be careful of the toilet paper toss at midnight, lol).Be aware that this place is an active motor sports mecca with UTV's, dirt bikes and more being ridden to people's camp sites or vacation homes. So if you are looking for a quiet place this may not be it, however if you are looking for a place full of activity and fun people than you will be very happy here.

We have been coming here for several years and were considering buying a vacation home in the Palms River Resort. The staff used to be great and management was awesome. They are now under new management and we will never return again. They have been rude and unaccommodating. Our kids LOVE the water slide and we have always been able to use it throughout the week. It was open on Monday and Tuesday, but when we tried to use it on Thursday it was closed. We called the office and they said "Its only open on the weekend" They were not willing to open it for us, even though the opened it for someone else earlier in the week.We will not return or buy as we planned, even after years of vacationing here. What a bummer.

Awesome place to stay. They have a huge pool, 2 jacuzzis, a play room (foosball, air hockey, darts, etc), a bounce house, tennis and basketball courts. The whole place is super clean amd has the friendliest people. Only very small negative is that the beach next to the ramp is super small.

The Palms in Needles is a first class establishment, well kept. My buddy has been storing his boat here inside the park for over 10 years, he has access to the very small and difficult boat ramp due to current when trying to get your boat IN from the river, this ramp is not for beginner's. The Palms have added on massively in the last 2 years, in a new pool by the front gate, meeting center, bigger store, more storage garages and outside storage, it would seem that new storage customers do not have access to the ramp my buddy is grandfathered in and I understand why they don't let storage use the ramp as it is very small and limited truck/ trailer towing, with all the expansion mabye they could build a second ramp by the new storage side and charge a little for it. Everytime we show up we are supposed to get a permit to park now but are told Everytime and this last weekend on Sunday about 1:00PM and I quote "you only get storage, you don't get access to our resort." Question is the new storage side is not inside the park/ resort and most if the new storage customer probably don't know there is a ramp and they certainly don't have the gate code, this is still a very small community and the homeowners know who should and should be there, along with the grounds crew, don't really see a need for a pass for the oldtimers, what happens if we launch when the store is not open, is the truck and trailer gonna get towed? Many a trip we are on the water by 6-7 AM. This issue withstanding this is still a 5 star Resort and if I had kids under 10 would not hesitate to let them go to the inside the park pool, beach or dog park in a group, fyi, great safe place to camp as well.

We like that it is quiet most of the time. On the weekends there are lots of people taking their razors and 4 wheelers out onto the desert so there is some noise but it's during the day and just going in or out. The pool area is very pretty and everything is quite clean. The store/office area is nicely provisioned and the desk staff are helpful and nice. It's close to rt40 but not close enough for noise, just ez access. There is a mix of homesites and rv sites. Quick hop up to Fort Mojave or up to The Avi or Laughlin if you want to go to casinos. Walmart and several groceries are available in Fort Mojave.

We pulled in after dark. Security code on the gate doesn't give a rid & tow enough time to get through the gate. I suggest you pull up to the gate then walk back to enter the code.No signs to the office to get a map of the place to find a space. No cable for TV or pass word for wifi.No one answered after hour cell number. The recording said; "mail box has not been set up" so I could not leave a message.I guess we wI'll grab a flashlight and wander around to find the the office and showers.

I didn't stay here, but I had an experience with the front desk ladies , they were great, and accommodating, and I also drove through the resort a little to see the rest of the patk.. I give their customer service a five star, and cleanliness a five star... .....

Came through in August-- nice level RV pull through and pool, spas, river amenities looked great but we only found toilets WAY down the hill by the pool --no showers! No bathrooms are even marked on the map of the grounds-- and the folks in the store were gone by the time we wanted showers. So for camping transients, expect to not bathe or use your own facility in your trailer or RV. Those in small compact rigs who usually bathe in the campground facility will be disappointed. This would be a 4-5 rating otherwise.

Nice gated mobile home park! Just need to finish build out of the park to reduce/ eliminate weekend RV rentalsKeeping the gate closed around the clock not just after hours would help w security!
