Great dog park with bags for picking up after your dog, trash cans, drinking pail, and a fire hydrant with cement all around it for dogs to do their business. There are shade trees, picnic tables, and a lovely memorial bench.Unfortunately had to call the police on this man (see pic) whose aggressive dogs and his own aggressive behavior (explaining the dogs’ behavior) prevented us from entering. The Needles police responded quickly and moved him on his way.Oh, and there’s a working bathroom here! Great park.

We were traveling through and found this place. It not to big but enough fenced in space to exercise your dog! We enjoyed the other dog owners and we were able to work our dog out. We’ll be back when we travel back home. It was clean and water was available too!Dog-friendliness: The dogs that were there at the time we went were friendly. There were very small and large dogs.Picnic area: They have a few tables to eat or sit at while your pup is having fun.

What a wonderful oasis in the middle of the desert! Great clean park, lots of grass, trees, shade, water, seating for humans and clean up bags. There is even a working fire hydrant in the middle of the park that spews water. Many thanks for the man in the red pick up truck meticulously cleaning the park. Say hello to Shadow and Rosie when you’re there.

Driving the 40, it's hella hot, dogs are going crazy. The baby is crying and we find Spike's... perfection! Covered tables, water for the dogs, lots of grass to roll in, plenty of poop bags, and some shade to hide in from the sun. I would totally recommend stopping here with your dogs on a road trip.

We, and our dogs, love this park! It is large, well maintained, it has plenty of trees for shade, nice seating for the humans, easily available water, and a well stocked clean-up station. It's in the same park as the skate park and baseball field. Every time we pass through town we stop here.

In heat of July, surprising green oasis for dogs with water and large space to run highly recommend, right next to the highway. Benches and bathroom for owners, playground right next to for kids- GREAT stop on road trips for all families

Highly recommend this dog park if you are driving in or out of Southern California. We stopped on our way to the Grand Canyon from San Diego and were pleasantly surprised by how nice the park was.Plenty of grass for your pup, plenty of shade and a picnic bench for the humans :)

I take my friends dog there a couple of times during the week, clean, secure, green grass & water.It has double locking gates & shade cover with a table to sit at during the extreme heat in summer month's. Plastic Animal waste bags are available on the pole dispenser at the park.PLEASE; be aware of other dogs before you enter the double gate enclosure, use your common sense, if there is 5 or 10 large dogs running & chasing each other inside, don't introduce your small 🐕 dog to the group thinking everything will be alright- like wise for big Dog owners, they will wait if the Park is full of small Dogs to thin out-Wait in your vehicle until the crowd thins down in 10-15 minutes and then go for it..Dog-friendliness: Not all dogs are friendly, use common sense, ask before entering the enclosed double gates, wait inside the double gates and let the inside dogs come to the fence and greet the outside dog, you will be able to tell if it's ok immediately by the greeting your dog receives, use caution!!!

This park was very clean and grassy! There was only one other dog there, but my pup had a blast! There's a public toilet nearby and a playground that includes a skatepark. My pup says it's definitely worth the stop

Great find! Super convenient for us since we were driving through from Barstow to Flagstaff and it’s right off the highway. Well maintained and lots of shade. Only downside is that there’s no separate area for small dogs.

Awesome park for dogs, kids, even mom and dad!!It has a huge fenced in area strictly for dogs. A canopy and a few benches for people not dogs!!As you venture through the park you find a picnic area with grills (charcoal only) and next to that area is a playground with slides, swings, and monkey bars for the kids and mom and dad. There is a skate/bike area fenced in for tricks. A pool emptied out for a skaters paradise. Behind the skate park is a standard sized baseball diamond. Over all the Needles Recreation area is really a well thought out idea for recreational purposes.Across the street is a pool that looks to be Olympic sized but no life guards on duty in Wednesday....so I'm assuming it's closed.FIND IT AND GO!!!FO SHO!!

If you've ever traveled thru AZ and the CA desert area with a dog, you'll understand how fantastic it is to run across this dog park complete with GRASS. I was so happy with the park I sent an email to the city manager, who replied the park was built by volunteers with private donations. Very impressive, as this is something that can be used so much by visitors.

If you are traveling and need a place to stretch .... relax here and let your pup get some exercise too. Right across the street from Dollar General. You can even fit a tractor trailer in behind the DG 👍 Only one or two, but perfect for a quick stop, and grab a few necessities while on the road.

They need other fenced areas so other people's Stupid dogs will leave yours alone . Couldn't even let our dogs off the leash because of two yapping trouble making chihuahuas. Our Pitbull would have eaten them for snacks if wasn't such a well behaved dog

This park has a nice open area and a big container to be filled with water for pups. It was incredibly hot when we visited, but there were quite a few shady areas too.

Small grassy dog park with a few shade trees and bench seats. Some ground squirrels occasionally sneak in from the empty field next to it. Only dog park within miles of this area.

It is a nice place to take your pets to let them run and play in a safe area. Just be sure to clean up your pets mess. Only draw back is the lack of shade. There is some but not a lot

It was 115 when we stopped by to switch drivers. There is a hose to supply drinks and covered areas. There were a couple dogs enjoying some excercise. They looked happy.

Mehh. Not a big space for the dogs. The one shaded area was not present due to time of day or time of year. Boring scenery. Just a run of the mill off leash space for the pups

A very well-maintained dog park the people that go there that I've interacted with so far have been really nice and I'll come across a couple of nights dogs for my dog to hang out with which is all ways a big plus for me it's right off the freeway it's close by a store a McDonald's and a Jack In The Box so if you want to get something to eat and hang out in the park with your dog you can do that but you have to eat at the human park outside because there's no human food allowed in the park and then go in with your dog a very nice park indeed see you at spikes desert dog park there's a blue nose pit bull by the name of blue is wait and see your dog come on down bring a dog treat

Nice park! Just be aware that after a visit in April 2019, we spent 2 hours removing seeds and burrs from our long haired dog.

Beautiful park nice and quiet area the, only disappointment was they do not separate the animals, small dogs and large dogs have to play together and that's a disadvantage for your small babies, when it comes to playing time ,but the owners are wonderful people.. and so was the large babies...
