I have been a loyal shopper at Pet Food Express in Napa since I moved here over a decade ago. In large part due to the excellent customer service I’ve received from Joe, who I believe is the store manager. He is wonderful and very knowledgeable. Today I was in to purchase a cat tower and Ava took superb care of me. She went above and beyond, even carrying the cat tree to my car to make sure it would fit it my backseat. Thank you very much, Ava. What an awesome team at this store. 👏🏼 👏🏼

More than just pet food!This place saved the day! I was in Napa for business when I noticed my cat (who travels with me everywhere, for comfort) had developed a wound.I drove all over Napa, trying to find a wound wash for him. I went to big box stores and other chain pet supply stores and no one had any wound care merchandise.I went to Pet Food Express last, only because I was unfamiliar with the chain and the name didn't hint whether I'd find more than pet food there or not. I did! Pet Food Express had a good range of medical supplies and supplements. I was able to find a good wound wash and I discovered a pouch food there that my cat thinks is candy, so we've become regular patrons of the Pet Food Express near us now.Thank you, Pet Food Express, for being there when we needed you.P.S. My cat is recovering smoothly. But I'm including a picture of him in his cone of shame because how can I not? Look how longsuffering he is, poor critter!

Best pet store in all of Napa County. This is one of the biggest holistic pet stores I've been to. Not only are there tons of Healthy food options but there AREN'T any "unhealthy" food options. From someone who has a background in the pet industry the staff seems to be very knowledgeable on current holistic trends and treatments and has always been so kind in helping me find the right products. The discounts they run are also extremely competitive.They also have a self-serve bathing center and a vet clinic.

My review is for VIP pet care. The Vet is terrible at this location. I took my pup to get vaccinated, waited for 1 hour for the vet tech to tell me they would not vaccinate my pup due to me circling formed stool (although not hard as rocks) on the questionnaire. Instead, they wanted to sell me medication for him to be on for 1 month and then come back. When I asked to speak with the vet to clarify, she refused to come out of the cubical area and would not talk to me. We were the last ones there (no other customers in line), so I know she wasn't busy... what a joke. I would find somewhere else to go in the future.

Very friendly staff! Solid selection of food, treats, toys, and clothes for your furry friend. There’s also a VIP Vet clinic here for an affordable are center (if needed).I haven’t brought my dog here for the grooming/washing so I can’t rate it. Regardless, it’s a solid pet store! Heads up that parking can be tricky since it’s right by an entry/exit.

Really bad experience with VIP Petcare (in-store vet clinic). Will avoid them in the future, for sure.I need to board my dog last-minute due to a family emergency: My primary veterinarian recommended I use VIP as a way to get a needed immunization in a hurry. Big mistake. After checking in, letting the VIP clinic know what I needed, and being told “no problem,” I waited over 1.5 hours as expected (there is no way to book an appointment in advance). At one point during the wait I was told that my well-behaved dog and I needed to leave the store and come back later, even though there were only four clients in front of us. When our number came up, I was only then asked for more details about my pet, and at that point was refused service. The reason given was that my dog is on another (very common) medication that their vet sees as conflicting with the immunization he needs… Sure would have been great to know about this before setting everything up and waiting! I called my regular vet to check on what I was told by VIP, and they say there really is no issue or conflict with the medications. Wish I had the time and energy back, especially as this seems like a relatively avoidable problem.Thankfully, my primary vet did find an emergency opening for me to get the required shot later this week. Hoping they will think twice about recommending VIP to their clients in the future, I know I won’t be going back.

It's a decent store for pet supplies and their toy selection is better than other places. Customer service and bulk food selection could be improved. Associate didn't seem to be knowledgeable on the differences between cat food. Couldn't find any wet food in bulk which is really inconvenient. Some brands they carry are high quality and hard to find at other places and the prices reflect that. However, they also carry some other brands that are more common, yet they're marked at double what competition charges (I verified this on the same day for the exact same product). I may update my review if things improve.

All of the staff here are super friendly and helpful! They were able to help me find the right products I was seeking for my dog. Also the dog wash is really great! Super affordable and good facilities. I bring my own shampoo.

These guys are amazing! The store carries way better products (hence why one might not find Walmart prices here, but are you skimping on your beloved pet's food????). And the staff is wonderful and so knowledgeable. I highly appreciate all the advice you guys give me, sometimes I don't even have to ask.

I used to love coming here to grab Just Food For Dogs (premium....aka not cheap at all). I've never had a problem until my most recent visit last wk. I entered the store with a friend, went straight to the Just Food For Dogs freezer, then decided to grab some toys for my dog. As I'm looking through the toys and walking the aisles I (and my friend) noticed that we were being followed. (I should have left right then and there). I grabbed some treats, turned around and boom there goes yet another employee "fixing" something near me. When I checked out I brought it to the attention of the cashier, telling her that I didn't appreciate being followed, that I have spent A LOT of money in that store and had never been treated this way. She laugued...literally laughed in my face. I told her I was not joking with an extremely stern tone. She could barely bag my dog food she was shaking so bad. I'll never be back

This store cheerfully pre-assembles complex orders for pickup by my neighbor, who has mobility challenges. The staff is always gracious and helpful, and the store is kept spotlessly clean. Five stars plus.

DYI bathing area very clean with towels laid out. Had to clean the glass fire ash off my German shephard and found the employees to be very encouraging and supportive they truly made my experience less stressful.

Today we put our sweet shassy girl down and we wanted to make her day extra special. We took her into pet food express and they treated her like royalty. The sweet staff working gave her all the treats she could possibly want and when we got to check out they paid for our items. On such a hard day it meant the world to my sister and I and I just want to say thank you again!

My first choice for pet supplies in Napa. The only place in town to find the high quality prepared raw food for dogs and cats. As a professional dog walker I am able to find everything I need here and we regularly utilize the self-wash area. My dog simply loses all composure as soon as we enter the parking lot. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the store regularly takes part in fun non-profit events to benefit local animal charities.

People who know how to read when its time to buy and fly... or if I want the real deal down low on good kibbles....how much.... and is that wierd litter that clumps like stalagmites really made of corn? Not a beat missed. The quality food actually makes a noticeable difference in the happy factor of the animals, and while the cat towers are still a small fortune, the return policy is yes, and on a good day the insight can really be priceless.

I just need to give a big shout out to Reed. This guy just single handedly answered every single question I had with no hesitation. He's so full of knowledge, it's gross lol. I'm like two days away from needing to buy more dog food and I will for sure be coming back here. Awesome job Reed.
