My 14.5 year old JuJu was seen by the wonderful doctor there during Covid. I couldn’t have asked for a more caring and kind Vet to access her. I had to say goodbye to my baby JuJu last April and the staff was unbelievably kind to me, letting me hold her for a while as she passed, and much longer as I just couldn’t say goodbye. They handled her with extreme care and were so kind when I came to pick up her ashes. I will never forget this day as it was one of the hardest days of my life, but thank you to the staff for easing the pain. I also bring my 2 Siamese cats to Alley Cat for their shots. They are affordable, honest and overall wonderful humans that work there. Thank you to everyone that has taken care of my babies❤️

This hospital is extremely expensive. I took my dog here because his previous vet was in Vallejo and it was out of my way. The first appointment it felt very weird. I felt like the doctor didn’t really care about my dog plus she was saying that my dog had behavioral issues when in reality no animal likes the vet. I used to work at a vet hospital so I know how it runs. One of the techs was going to poke my dog without cleaning the area first until another tech who was helping reminded her to use alcohol prior. Not to mention, after that I had brought my dog in to get blood taken out for a heartworm test and they didn’t draw enough blood so I had to return two weeks later. This was very unnecessary and a waste of time especially because my dog needs mild sedation due to his energy level. I felt like it really wasn’t necessary for my dog to take those meds again so close together in time because of their mistake. Last but not least their front staff does not greet you when you walk in. Every time I entered they were always chit chatting and I was waiting there for a few minutes until I was finally acknowledged. Will not be bringing any of my pets here ever again as well as I do not recommend.

Excellent! While traveling through Napa my dog was attacked resulting in several puncture wounds. Alley Cat promptly returned my call and got her right in. The entire staff from reception, techs, and doctor were all responsive, knowledgeable, and helpful. When I had a follow-up issue they got my dog right in again. Highly recommend Alley Cat Small Animal Hospital.

Made an appointment for an annual checkup on the kitty. The staff there were all very kind and efficient, and everything went smooth and well.Parking was abundant, and access to the facility is practical.

Updating this from 2 months ago review of Nice people. 40$ to trim cat nails.Now cat nail trim was 53$ and it took 3 weeks for an appointment. Given a smirk and told "were not groomers". I asked for my pet files and I will never, ever be back.They are clearly just ripping off people and charging over twice the price is a joke and offensive. Greed will not get you anywhere and it surely will not get my business.This isn't about the animals this is a pure money grab. Beware.

We have loved our experiences with our two dogs at Alley Cat Small Animal hospital. Dr. Salinas is wonderful and very thorough when explaining options to me on what routes we can take for our pets. The vet techs are also so great with both of our pups.While they can be booked out a week or 2 sometimes, they have a waitlist as well as a drop off program when you need to get in more urgently and almost always my pups have been able to be seen much sooner than their originally scheduled appt. I can't recommend them enough!

Beware of this hospital. We were sent here as our regular vet was in a transition period due to selling the business. To be clear, I understand vets are expensive and this is Napa. So I expect to pay a pretty penny. However, Alley Cat price gouges big time (30% higher than local ER services). Additionally, the facilities are not clean and, after visiting, my pet developed an antibiotic resistant infection. The antibiotics drugs prescribed post-surgery were for topical use and this was an open wound requiring sedation! Clearly a miss on the doctor's part, not knowing what to prescribe. When I took my dog to the ER less than a week later, they could not believe the lack of prescription accountability on Alley Cat's part.My other dog traditionally loves the vet. After one visit there, she hid in the car and had to be pulled out, refusing to go in for a follow up!Look elsewhere for care. It will save you money and you will get better service.

While they were extremely nice, the main DOCTOR told me that both my cats were not spayed and recommended that I get it done there. Today, I took them to Napa Humane society and was told that both of them had already been spayed.. I’m not sure if it was an honest mistake or if they were trying to take my money for a procedure that was not needed. Either way, I will NOT be returning.

We are so happy we discovered Ally cat. Dr Salinas is the best vet ever. Its hard when your dog is sick. Our regular vet let us down and did nothing to help our sick dog. Dr Salinas took his time and diagnosed our dog properly and prescribed him the best medicine for him. We are so thankful. Bosco is doing so much better now. ❤ Everyone at Ally cat was amazing. The whole team is so sweet and I was a mess when I got there. I thank you all so much. The only thing we don't like are the prices. We have been paying triple for certain services.

They went above and beyond not only to take care of an injured pet they had never seen before to make sure she had the best life possible, but also to take care of a really worried human. Alley cat has been the preferred veterinarian for our family for the past 25 years. When Alley Cat was purchased by Dr Max Salinas the service began to quickly change. Medication prices rose, appointment times were shortened and overall care for our animals has diminished. I personally overheard Mr Salinas berate one of the remaining vets Dr Corsi, while I was in an exam room with one of my dogs for “taking too much time with us” ,he was informing her that appointments could not last over 15 minutes...despite that fact that our dog had just injured his knee and would require surgery. I recommend taking your animals to a facility where they truly care about the patients and not just the $$. Avoid California small animal hospital in Napa as well. Dr Salinas has purchased that establishment and I have heard nothing but bad experiences from those that have taken their pets there since he acquired it. This man is only about the $$.

I've had them as a vet for my first ever cat and it has been a wonderful experience! They are friendly on staff and I feel like the prices are reasonable. They also trim my kitties claws once a month for me so it is a life saver. Even if we move out of the area we want to keep them as our vet. Now that they are even open both Saturday and Sunday it's great when I work during the week. Highly recommend!

Dr. Salinas & his staff are great. I have been a client for over a year now and am happy to have this team caring for my dogs. Previously Dr. Lung was our vet but with his retirement we came to Alley cat. Today 6/25/18 my girlfriend and I came in for a routine check up and concern for our dog who had ripped her hair out due to fleas. Even though Dr. Salinas was alone for the day with a packed schedule he took his time to address our concerns, give us treatment options, and explain everything thoroughly. We discovered our dog has allergies from fleas and found a new repellent to help her in the future. I am very glad we found Alley Cat and thankful to Dr.Salinas care and compassion for animals as well as great staff.

Dr. Corsi at Alley Cat always takes into consideration the fact that my husband and I are retired and on a fixed income when charging us for services rendered to our dog. I have found that no other Vet services in Napa have ever taken this fact into consideration. All of the folks at Alley Cat are compassionate, friendly, and very helpful, not only to our dog, but to my husband and me as well!! We Love Alley Cat!!!!

I started going to Alley Cat when one of my four dogs had an issue that needed immediate attention. I called the vet that I was going to for my babies, and they couldn't squeeze him in but told me that I should be concerned. So I called the first vet in the phone book(which was alley cat) and they told me to bring him in. I got there and everyone was so friendly and helpful. Dr. Miller and Dr. Lamp are amazing, caring, and such great doctors. With their expertise, my dog is able to live a longer and comfortable life. Thank you!!!!!

I don’t like vets in general. Always feels like I’m in a car dealership with the way they run things. Feels like I’m always being persuaded to buy things my dogs don’t need. With that said, Alley cat does a pretty good job of acting as professionals. They are very friendly every time I call and always fix whatever issue my dogs might be having.

From the day we brought them home all of our dogs have been patients at Alley Cat. They have done surgery's, fixed booboos and cleaned teeth. They do our shots, checkups and answer all our questions. I could not imagine going anywhere else and getting the same level of service and caring. When we adopted a grown mutt they helped us with her first check up and find the vet where she went before.I could go on and on. I love this place. We are lucky to have such wonderful vets and staff in the Napa Valley.

Alley Cat is the best animal hospital if you have small animal dog or cat the kind and nice and help you with any need that you need for your animal for considerate and work with you with your payments. I have been taking my dog there since he was a puppy and he is 15 years old now and I also have a new puppy which start going there since he was 5 weeks old and I love.

I take Georgia to the affordable vaccine clinic. The staff are efficient and friendly - and they tolerate my very friendly (wild child) Airedale. Thank you Alley Cat! She has never needed anything but vaccines but when she does, there is no doubt where I'll take her. Alley Cat!

Alley Cat has put my dog back together more than once. River is very accident prone, he has been through some pretty bad accidents in the past few years. You'd think he would hate going into the vet's office because of this, but it's like his second home - He loves everyone there! And believe me, they all know who he is, ha-ha! I would never take my dog to anyone else, the people at Alley Cat are great and I always feel as home and well taken care of.

My dog Chico a boxer got in some trouble in May. He got bit by something in my backyard probably a spider and he was very allergic to it. I took him to Alley Cat and Dr. Miller and staff pulled him through. I thought I was going to lose him. Now he is here again in July and very sick again. He did eat some kitty litter for the first time and became ill after that. He is getting better slowly. They did a full work up on him and he is healthy in the important stuff. Now they are working on the ick in his system. They have been wonderful for my Chico. I wouldn't take him anywhere else.
