I called to ask a favor. A shot in the dark. I didn't expect special treatment. A polite "we can't do that" would have sufficed. I didn't expect to be lied to. The favor: expedite my online prescription food order even though it's after 7pm; I have the written script. My vet doesn't return script authorization calls, so these two processes are incompatible. The lie: we haven't received your order yet but we only have duck and venison (I ordered Original). Now it could have been a coincidence that they only had the flavors I didn't order but when she hastily said that if my order was filled in a couple days, it means they got a shipment in, I decided to go and see. My cat was already out of food, what had I to lose? They had both the 4 lb and 8lb bags of the Original flavor that I ordered. How interesting. Why not just say that on the phone and stick to the story of not being able to process it? And then to insult me further by inviting me to spend money there buying the food that I was told didn't exist? One star is being quite generous.

The store is very pleasant, organized and clean. Staff are exceptionally friendly and welcoming. There's plenty of variety in pet supplies for all kinds of pets. I went in looking for a heat lamp and found it easily, where other brand stores didn't have that product in that I needed at all. Parking is plentiful and easily accessible. Great staff, great store!

I’ve been taking my dog to Petsmart since May so I can get him socialized and make him more aware since he’s still a puppy. The very first day pet hotel associate Anthony was so welcoming. He explained the DayCamp process and since then, Mowgli has been such a star there. I love the love that he gets from every single person and I can tell that he loves all of them as much. I take them at least two days a week, and I feel like he is satisfied. I deeply want to thank the staff for taking such good care of him.

This Petsmart location is the best ! There’s an employee named Jan who goes out of his way to help me with a smile. He understands my dogs needs. Regardless of his busy schedule , he is always around to help to the max. I can see how much he loves his job . I always leave this place with a smile.

We had booked a boarding session at PetsHotel which got confirmed. But when we showed up with our dog, the employee said they could not board him because he had jumped up to greet him. There was nothing in the PetsHotel policy on the website saying this was unacceptable behavior, and it was frustrating to have to cancel our travel plans the morning of (and lose money on our car rental, etc.) because we did not know this would be an issue. The employee seemed uncomfortable and inexperienced around dogs. Our dog has passed behavioral evaluations at three other daycares, has gotten groomed at this PetSmart with no issue, and had a history of being friendly to other people and dogs at his rescue, so the whole situation seemed silly. In any case, I would recommend avoiding this place for daycare or boarding and going with one of the local daycares (especially seeing as they have turned away behaved dogs, including a blind dog, the day of with no notice or explicit policy from past reviews).

First let me say that the staff are very nice. My two star review is about the management of the aquarium section alone. The aquarium section was managed badly last time I was there in November 2023. Many fish looked sick. There were dead fish in a few tanks. The glass looked dirty. There were pest snails in many tanks, which shouldn't appear in any well-managed tank.

I have a German shepherd who is required to get id hills brand and I have a prescription. The so called help refuses to check if additional products are in the rear nor asking any store if it's in stock anywhere. I recommend not using PetSmart for anything other than useless products that your own dog can't use. No service,no information not an ounce of aiding a senior customer who has a file that is why I am here.

They had sold me a bag of expired ferret food. It was only 30 days expired but they made it right by crediting back the 20 to my debit card! They also let me keep the product. They were very nice and understanding. This has happened before and they were helpful then. The employees at petsmart were wonderful. Ferrets pictured are Eddie, Zoey and Crash

Beware of the PetsHotel at this Mountain View store. We were longtime customers, but during our dog's last stay, they called me while we were out of state and said, "Your dog has worms. Come pick him up." They were wrong. When we got back, I took a sample of our dog's stool to his vet and ordered a lab test. The results came back negative! When I showed Petsmart the results of the lab test, they agreed to refund our money but didn't acknowledge their mistake or apologize for all the trouble they caused. Now we don't trust them anymore.

I have been going to this store for months to buy things I needed and gifts for pets of friends and have noticed how lazy the employees are. The first time I came across an employee she was so rude and short only to go back to her cell phone which was upsetting. Their adoption area for the kittens is a SMALL space, they go from kittens to young adults in there with no one adopting them. Their space is so small and many times my kids and my husband have also gone, they notice the cats have little water and their litter box is stacked up to be cleaned. The employees are young and have no interest to take part in clean up effort for these cats in these small enclosed spaces, it's heart crushing to see this over and over. They should have volunteer's who would want to help and spend time with these babies who need attention. The frustrating part is after many attempts to speak to someone about asking to spend time, holding and petting their cats, they act like its a burden to spend time with their cats they have there for adoption. They rush you and ask you after five minutes, "well which one do you want to take home"?! It's honestly so upsetting!!! I really wish these young kids would take the time to check on them and clean after them and allow people to visit without being rushed. These young employee's ONLY want to be on their phones... I can't begin to count the times my family and I have been in this store just to see employees on the phone with friends and not care if a customer has a question!!!! I rate this store a 1 for POOR service and failure to do their jobs!!!!! VERY UPSETTING - these cats deserve better!!! Please go in and adopt a kitty or if you know of someone looking for one, help by adopting one & giving it a forever loving home.

Large selection of toys, treats and pet food. If you buy prescription food, they almost have the food in stock - I have always managed to find Royal Canine Hydrolyzed Protein food for my pet here.

They have a good selection of cat food and toys. It just makes me a little sad to see the kittens/cats in the display case. I think the price to adopt is too high compared to other rescues. And the cats are definitely not enriched/socialized as often as they should be.

Agreed to board Sparky, but turned him away because he is blind on the eve of my business trip. Furthermore, made me wait 45 minutes beforehand. So much for being a place that loves pets.

The staff is amazing and I have been really happy with my pups couple of stays so far but I have to rank this low because petsmart doesn't allow 24 hour pick up. I understand drop off not being allowed after hours but pick up is dictated by flights which can happen any time and flight delays are a reality as well. Just being able to hand me my dog is certainly something that Petsmart as a corporation should be capable of providing but as a company they choose to make you wait all night and don't allow the overnight staff to give you your dog. It's very frustrating and I hope one day petsmart reconsiders so we can bring our business back here for my redeye flights. I certainly hope that if there was an emergency there would be a way to get to your dog at night but it doesn't seem like it. It's not the staffs fault but petsmart you can do better policy wise. I realize that a blackout is not their fault but I would have appreciated some heads up that they were going to close this location. Imagine my horror as I drive to this location to drop off my 2 cats who are anxiously waiting in the car, only to realize there is no staff and I cannot get inside. In this day and age where technology allows for automated messaging, the least they could have done is message me to let me know that they won’t be able to accept my pets today.I ended up not being able to send my poor pets anywhere because it was so late in the day and I couldn’t book another hotel. Now I will have to leave them at home so I can catch my flight and beg friends to come and check in on them.

Alot of selection overall but sadly ALOT of dead bettas and most of the rest are in dirty algae filled cups that look like they haven't been cleaned of even maintained in a while. Other than that it's a nice place

Even though this store seems to go through so many new people. Customers Service is good Mary one the cashier is so funny and nicest people. Shes the only original to me. Ever since I got in the fish hobby 2016. I go to this place at least 2-3 a month.

I take my cat to the pet hospital here. The Veterinarians are compassionate and caring doctors. They go above and beyond to make you feel at ease with your decisions. They are professional and knowledgeable about their job. They made my daughter and I feel comfortable saying goodbye to our 1-year-old cat, but most importantly they made my cat feel safe and comfortable. The technicians that work side by side with the doctors are excellent as well. The store employees are friendly and eager to help with any questions you may have.

I love pet smart. Amazing service and staff. I got 2 pets there 2 mounts ago and they are doing amazing. My dog had something in her and they give us the medication and years later she is doing amazing. We always find the things we need when we go there. Although the things can be expensive it has amazing quality.

I spent an hour finding the best price for cat litter that my cat uses. This store was close to the best and close to home. Only had one bag, though. Even so, curbside pickup was fast and efficient and I'll go there again.
