Quiet RV park near the beach. Spaces are pretty close together (the neighbors slide out reaches into our space). The surrounding area shut down at 5pm. So, other than the beach, there is nothing walkable open. Also, the laundry is 24 hours, but quarters are only available at the office, until 5pm. It's a 3 mile drive to the nearest store.

What a great place!! Wonderful people are so very helpful. Clean park so close to the ocean, you can hear all the beautiful sounds that go with it.Full hookups and clean restrooms. This is such a sweet town to visit. So much is in walking distance. So I accidentally forgot my cellphone on the picnic table and didn't realize until we were on the downside of Pacheco Pass. We called my phone to see if it fell between the seats. Nope. A man answered, and I told him that I guess I left my phone there. They mailed it to me, and I had it back by Thursday. I'm eternally grateful to these incredible folks and their top-notch service and care. Way above and beyond.Nearby activities: This is an rv park. There are great restaurants and fruit stands nearby. Cute shops and the beach.Walkability: Everything is close by.Food & drinks: I recommend The Haute Enchilada because that's where we ate, but other campers recommended other spots as well.Noteworthy details: It's just beautiful with top-notch customer service.

Moss Landing KOA is the BEST! I love the area. Liz in the office is the best at finding a place for my trailer on the dates that I want to stay. I love the quiet beach that I can walk to. Great Whale watching! I return as often as I can:)Nearby activities: Moss Landing sits between Santa Cruz and Monterey.Walkability: You can walk to Salinas River State Beach. It’s quiet and has Great Whale watching.

Nice campground. Full hookups. Small dog park. No other amenities. Near the beach. Spaces are very close together so there is no privacy, feels like group camping. Laundry and showers.Nearby activities: Half way between Monterey and Santa Cruz. We visited Monterey, Point Lobos, Carmel, 17 mile drive.

This is a great but small campground. The service was amazing, great Wi-Fi. We maneuvered out 24-foot RV no problems. we had guest that visited, and they had room to park too. There are some good restaurants in the area that are walkable, also a coffee shop and ice cream place. If you like to fish, you can do so across the harbor, so take your poles.

We stayed here, on our way further south. We were going kayaking at Elkhorn Slough in the morning (which I highly recommend!). I love this place! Its simple, but the sites are nice, clean and well-maintained. We received a very friendly welcome from the hosts, and they even offered us extra strong bike locks for the bikes we had on our rig (b/c there isn't a problem, but they don't want one). Its a great location -- walking distance to beach, shops, restaurants. Its a beautiful area!

This was a wonderful place for my husband and myself to spend our anniversary. You can hear the sea lions from our rv. I can see the tops of the boats from the harbour but I can't see the water from here. There are fantastic, pricey restaurants all within walking distance. I'm talking amazing food. We road our bikes to the end of the marina and watched the sea lions, otters and birds. If you're in the mood for a weekend getaway and you are prepared to spend some money and eat some fancy food, come here! This is a no frills park. No activities that I can see. The spots are small but the location makes up for it. Also it's windy here. I mean windy. And they have a store. That's always a plus.

Great KOA, site was level, concrete pad with bushes in between your neighbor. We brought our own grill and fire pit. But there is also a community one if needed. Clean unisex bathrooms and laundry. We stayed for 5 nights and it was a great base for Monterey, Carmel, Big Sur and Santa Cruz. Marina next door was quiet, offered elk horn slough tours and whale watching. Beautiful beach just across the street with a great walking path and for sunset. Very sleepy town, as most restaurants are either out of business or only open for lunch. Great coffee shop and fruit stands close by. Would recommend.

This might be my favorite KOA because it's so unpretentious and the location is so great. It's small and comfy, and no frills. No pool, no playground, just level lots with solid power, and good Wi-Fi. And you just can't beat the location. It's kind of right between Santa Cruz and Monterey and beautiful Moss Landing. Seals and sea otters everywhere. A gorgeous harbor with fishing boats. And you're surrounded by fruit stands and artichoke stands. Let's not to love about it? Worth every penny.

We loved the experience. Clean bathroom and park, nice cemented pads for parking. Excellent location for beach access and Phil's Fish Market. There is a fire pit for the campground but they will allow your own propane or wood firepit so long as it is off the ground.

Nice hosts, clean campgrounds, and close to the beach. Seals in the ocean, Phil’s Fish Market nearby (yummy linguine and clams!). But, as with many beachy camps, the sites are crammed close together. I kept tripping over my neighbor’s pinwheels and solar lights (he put them along the hookups side of my rig, and between his toys and the bushes, I had to duck under my slide-out to get hoses hooked up). Another neighbor had a bunch of yapping dogs.Nice place, nice people, but hardly any space or privacy. I’m sure the property is prime real estate, so KOA uses every ounce of it to get it as many rigs as possible. Glad we only stayed one night. (Host gave us a bike lock in addition to ours, said thieves were cutting people’s cable locks and stealing bikes. Not comforting, but they were honest about it and helpful). Also, I’ve been to worse sites, so this review is relative to those places and the really nice campgrounds I’ve visited with larger pads and privacy hedges. Maybe I’m too picky???We did enjoy the restaurant, the beach, some walks, and some of the local scenery.

We were greeted by our guest services clerk as we drove in! He had our info ready, pointed us to our spot, and helped us back in, using his flashlight!! All in the rain, aftwr dark. That's customer service folks. Thank you!!Restrooms: Great clean restroom/shower near the front office.Dog-friendliness: Dogs welcome.

We stayed 4 nites at this location. The staff were fantastic, including helping us back into the site. The location was exceptionally clean and well cared for. The beach was a short walk away, with hardly anyone on the beach. The showers and such, were clean and tidy. It was a very nice place to stay.

Well maintained small RV park. Within walking distance to several good dining options, some lovely scenic areas and a wide variety of shops. We had a romantic walk in the evening to view the full moon over the Harbor. It was spectacular. There is a resident cat here who is quite friendly. We would recommend Moss Landing KOA Express and we will be returning.

We LOVE it here!! Super clean and well run. Ben is super skilled and patient if you need guidance backing in. He makes it so easy!! His wife Liz is very helpful and sweet, making check-in a breeze. True, not much to do right around camp, but that keeps it low key and easy to stay safe these days. Actually, right next door you should do the slough boat tour. Also fun to rent kayaks, too. Not too far away is Cannery Row, Carmel, etc. This is a great base camp. On this trip, there were lots of little ones having a blast riding little scooters up and down the street. So cute!! Everyone is always so friendly here. Enjoy!

Small but a great place to relax. Very clean, level sites and walking distance to ocean. Not a lot more to do than that but a quick 15 minute drive to Monterey and there is more activity there. . We come often and enjoy our stay, my husband enjoys surf fishing. Camp hosts are great
