Friendly and helpful staff, good sized portions, and everything we tried was delicious!The employees pulled up each tub of ice cream I asked about so I could see the ingredient lists and find something gluten free. (They do scoop into cones as well as cups, so depending on your sensitivity to gluten or other allergens be aware of that.)I love that they have a mini cone. We should have gotten that for our littlest kids because they didn't finish their single scoop cones!They also serve milkshakes, sell desert souvenir t-shirts and vinyl stickers, sell bottled sodas and candy. There is both indoor and outdoor seating and a restroom inside.

This place is super cool. We stopped in here last week after dinner next door and chatted it up with a lady who I assume is the owner. She was very nice and told us all about the place. This is a great little shop. They've obviously got ice cream, but there is all kinds of other cool stuff here from vintage candy and craft sodas to banana splits and shaved ice. They also make their own pies and have a mean cup of coffee. If you are in the area, you definitely have to pop in and show some love to this place. It's kind of hidden from the main road behind Dillon's burgers and beer. Dinner at Dillon's and dessert at Coyote Cone make for a good evening. Enjoy!

It’s mostly Thrifty Ice Cream, which I love. Chocolate Malted Crunch hit the spot! I can’t believe there aren’t more ice cream places out here. Plus, they have a well-stocked lending library.Kid-friendliness: Lots of books for kids to look at.

This is just the sweetest, most wholesome little ice cream shop. They always treat my kids like gold, thoughtfully decorated. There are vegan, low and no sugar options as well in the cooler. Retro sodas, little gifts, horse saddle stools in front of a chalkboard to sit and cool off. Everything is just right.

We stumbled upon this place after hiking in Joshua Tree. I needed a coffee for our long drive home and my kiddo wanted some ice cream. What a pleasant treat it was! We were greeted by friendly people and delicious ice cream and coffee and enjoyed it with the beautiful backdrop of the mountains. I am happy to support small businesses like this!

Always delicious always friendly service. It’s about an hour drive away from 29Palms but when I’m getting an ice cream this good it’s worth the drive. Best thing is I can still get one scoop but get half and half of 2 different flavors!! My favorite thus far is the cappuccino crunch & cookie dough. I highly recommend 😊

A fun and delicious treat that just opened up right next to door to Dillons Burgers in Morongo Valley. They sell Thriftys ice cream which I think is the best. They have saddles for stools and chalk board to draw on.

And the staff gladly oblige to provide samples before ordering.This was such a great place, we went two days in a row. It provided the kids with motivation to continue on hikes, knowing there was a fun ice cream experience awaiting them after the adventure.

Thirty’s ice cream turned magical. Their coffee is amazing. Combine the two?
