Great customer service.Jim is the best in the business and very informative with the freeze dry process that your pet will go through. Jim was very gentle, compassionate and caring,for my loved family pet.If you are interested in Jims service,you have picked one of the best in the business and you will not be disappointed.I personally have been to his business site and he is very clean,professional,organized and you feel very comfortable leaving your pet with this talented man.He was so courteous to allow my family to say our goodbyes in private and as soon as my pet was done ,Jim called and let me know he was ready to come home and was very beautiful.The result of Jim's work is phenomenal. You will not be disappointed in his professionalism and talent.He is the very best in my opinion and I personally would not let anyone touch my pet but Jim. THANK YOU JIM!!!

We’ve had a total of four pets preserved after death. Three of which were professionally taxidermy. But when our taxidermist moved back to Russia we needed to find another solution for our deceased chin. One solution we could find was Preserved Pets. Jim’s communication throughout the process was great however our dog did not turn out anything like the photo I had sent over or the pets he has on the website. (Believe me I understand dead pets don’t comeback looking the same, we have several) but to get my dog back and have her look like the thing nightmares are made of is truly saddening. This is not a piece of art that I can show off with joy or gaze upon with loving eyes. For $1,200 I expected better. Photo attached to this review for others to make their own judgement.Response to Business Owner: The photo provided was less than six-month pre death. We knew her time was coming and had photos ready. As for brushing her out - that will not fix her sunken head, extended jaw, (exposing teeth) stretched neck, or bulging belly. Perhaps the real issue is that she is a brachycephalic and freeze drying was never going to work for her (?) As stated previously - I have three other taxidermy full mount pets (one is brachycephalic) and they turned out great. Had you communicated with me about how poorly Nettie turned out, I could have been prepared for what I was about to see.A partial refund will ease this situation and I will remove this review. I never expected Nettie to come back looking exactly the same, this is our forth dead dog that been preserved. I have realistic expectations when it comes to dead dogs being preserved.

I cannot thank Jim enough for the work he did on my beloved Spot. Losing him at such a young age devastated me to no end so it was a miracle to find a company that would do this on a pet. Jim explained the lengthiness of the process, and also communicated about any changes he thought may be better that differ from the photo to preserve more fur over time. Spot had become really thin, and he managed to help give him back some of his original, pre kidney failure plumpness back. This is what he'd look like sleeping but still listening for me.

We lost our beautiful girl suddenly 6 months ago. Our pet sitter lost her, and after 3 days of searching we found Maisy dead. Hit by a car. It is devastating enough to lose a pet like that, but so suddenly and violently. It ripped our hearts out. She had a beautiful soul that we would never get back. As I did research online and learned that I could keep her with us physically, it was just too good to be true. I had no idea that this was something people did. Sure I knew about traditional taxidermy, but I was unaware of Jim's process at Preserved Pets. I was instantly comforted when I realized that it was an option for us. From start to finish, Jim was nothing short of professional and courteous. He treated me with the kind of respect and patience that one would encounter when planning a wake or a funeral. The anxiety we felt at the thought of packing up that sweet girl and sending her so far away was eased by Jim's calm and reassuring nature. I felt that he would respect Maisy too, and so we sent her to him.Maisy came back home 3 days ago, and she is beautiful and peaceful looking. We're so glad that we chose the path that we did. Being able to have her with us was so important, and we take comfort in her everlasting sleep pose.Jim did a wonderful job, and I do not hesitate for a second to recommend his expertise to others who find themselves unable to part with their beloved pets.Thank you Jim,Noelle & Michael

Amazing work!!!!! I am so grateful for the work Jim did on my pet. I was emotional when I called Jim because my loss just happened a day or two before. I knew it was important to make sure that I followed the proper steps before I sent my boy out. I called a few people as I was trying to see who was the most comfortable with doing the work. No one was capable of the positioning I wanted other than Jim. This speaks highly of his experience. Everything came out the way he explained and I am beyond grateful to have my sweet boy back with me! Now I have him furever!!!!! Highly recommend!

It is indescribable and so unbelievable how much love and care Jim put into to preserving my dog, Marley. He went so over and beyond any expectations that my wildest imagination could create. He gave my family back something we could have never thought possible. The tears of joy that poured down my face when I opened my package is something that I can honestly say I did not expect. Marley passed away unexpectedly while I was out of town. He immediately picked up my call, answered all my questions, was compassionate and straight to the point. Throughout the process he communicated and continued communication until the day he sent it. There are not enough words of gratitude to express what Jim gave back to me. 10/10. He is the best.

James has done all my work over 20 years I moved from CA back in 2003 to TX over thousand of miles away from James co! and . I have gave him other animals to work. It came to my tension that there a little old lady that's going by GSNDHIGU : initials that is crying over a rabbit that James co. worked on. I've seen this rabbit with my own eyes rabbit was beautiful. Now this little old lady show a picture of her rabbit was done by James couple of years ago ???. I had over two dozen animals done by this man ten of thousands of dollars work done by this man. I have never I mean never had bad work done by this man now this little old lady that a😭 baby it must be her fault that her rabbit looks like that. next time little old lady you try to write a post on James you might want to get your message across right! How can you tell people our rabbit was done wrong when you did your posts please folks read her post she can't even get her massage across right. Looks like this little old lady brung her rabbit to bed and slept with it I hope that you people will read this and realize that I have got a lot's of work done by this man and . I am have happy with the work done

When our 18 year kitty Chloe passed away in July we were broken hearted, and I was not ready to let her go. Thanks to Jim I didn't have to. We brought our sweet girl home the other day, and I feel like the hole in my heart has been filled with happiness. Jim did an amazing job, and we are so happy to have her home. Thank you Jim.This is a new review.2-10-2023Unfortunately, once again we were in need of Jim's service. Thankfully, he was there to help us. He was amazing when we took our sweet Chloe to him two years ago. Our precious Katie Lynn crossed the Rainbow Bridge 2-2-2023. We brought her to Jim and I can not say enough wonderful things about him. He isvery kind and caring. He takes the time with you to make sure that everything will be done exactly the way you want it to be. My husband and I are devastated by our loss. Katie Lynn was the daughter we never had. The only thing that is comforting to us is that in a few months she will be back home with us. Believe me, it is HUGE comfort. I highly recommend Preserved Pets. You will not be disappointed. Wow! I don’t think I can thank Jim enough for the work he did on our beloved Elvis! He is truly an artist! What a gift someone like him has, to make it possible for us to have our pets “back” ❤️Im not going to lie, but I was really apprehensive on how Elvis end result would look, because on his last days the poor little guy looked so sad and unhealthy due to his sickness. But Jim’s work completely exceeded any of my expectations! Elvis looks just like he was about an year before he got sick. He looks healthy and happy! It’s almost hard to believe he can’t get up and move... It’s hard to put into words what I felt when he brought Elvis back to me! I ll be forever grateful to him. THANK YOU Jim! ❤️🐾

Amazing work! Would highly recommend this place! People need to know that you have to follow with caring for the pet after being received I've read reviews of people complaining that's because they're idiots that must've not followed after care directions! I have my pet in a glass container to help keep her preserved the way Jim gave her back to me. He did a great job with preserving my pet I'm forever thankful I found his business to have our dog back home with us.

Jim at Preserved Pets is the only person I trust to take my pets to for preservation. Jim is a true artisan in the field of taxidermy, and the technique of freeze drying a friend you can't say goodbye to just yet, at a very reasonable price also. Located in the moreno valley, it is actually a convenient drive from anywhere in southern California. It's the attention to detail , and being able to correctly pose your friend to lifelike detail, that will have you coming back when that unfortunate event happens. Thanks Jim.

Jim's work is beautiful and the care and attention to detail he takes is what any pet lover would wish for. A true professional and I highly recommend him to anyone who is looking to preserve their precious pet. This place is far far beyond taxidermy in the conventional sense. I had my dog freeze dried here a few years ago. My dog was returned to me okay at the time. A bit smaller than when she originally arrived to Jim. However, after about a year some oily greasy substance started coming out of my beloved dog. Oil patches on the face, back, thighs and just random places. The paws became very oily as well and I was told by Jim that he can fix it. I was very upset but I decided I had been very selfish to have my dog preserved just because I couldn't let go. So I went ahead and buried her instead. My advice for anyone thinking of doing freeze dried with your pet is to NOT do it. If you do decide to do it then you have been warned that after a year or so things start to ooze out. I kept my preserved pet very well taken care of so its not the issue of how you take care of it its just out of your control after the freeze dry process. Also your freeze dried pet may not look at all like how it was originally.

To see our pet's results --Google "preserved pets reviews" for the youtube video review with proof of receipts etc. It shows the workmanship done.First off, the business owner's comment below doesn't surprise me at all.Jim's pet preservation standards and workmanship for our pet, were abhorrent. It's unconscionable how anybody's pet could be returned to them looking the way Jim returned our pet to us. No exaggeration.Preserved Pets:1. You Trashed our pet's memory via the substandard preservation you did. (See their Yelp pics--pg.2)2. You refused to give a refund for the horrible preservation you did, UNTIL I got ready with paperwork, to sue you. (A refund should have been self-evident, as well as a profuse apology.)3. Jim Brost ( the person who did the preservation), after I posted our pet's "preservation" results online, accused me of "staging" the pet's results photos on Yelp, to make a false claim against him. (Very disturbing.) So, I had to make a video review of the condition that this pet was returned to us in--from Jim, with proof of receipts and purchase, to PROVE the job he did on this pet.4. Jim Brost then hired a lawyer to come after me to remove the pictures/reviews of the job he did on this pet.So No,--nothing was good about my experience with Preserved Pets.Sadly, a year after receiving the pet in this condition, the business owner's accusation from his comment below has now become that I didn't follow the instructions and/or take care of the pet once I got it home and that is why the pet looks SO bad? Disgraceful. The pet looks exactly the way you gave him to me Jim!Preserved Pets: If you believe that legitimate customers providing an honest review online, and posting photos of the workmanship that YOU alone performed is harassment? Grow up.Finally, I truly hope your workmanship is only of the highest quality from here out!

I just want to say thank you again to Jim. He did a beautiful job with my chihuhua I was very impressed when I got Dolly back I didn't think that she was going to look so real, I checked every part of her body and paws and I can see in her all the details that Jim did to make my Dolly look exactly like Dolly once was when she was alive! I highly recomend preseved pets Jim you are awesome!

Jim ruined my beautiful animal at his studio. I even found a fur eating bug on it when it was retuned to me. I found him to be unprofessional, unskilled, and when I dug further, I couldn't find that he was ever trained formally in taxidermy. I think he is "self-Taught" "self-Recognized", in pet preservation. That doesn't cut it for me . I also found on an internet search, hunters he did taxidermy for whose specimens fell apart and were infested. I recommend you research this and any studio for preservation. Look for reviews (old and new) and videos, and on hunter websites. Because once you commit to a studio, you can't fix it somewhere else if it comes out bad.

the man hung up on us suddenly when he was told that our cat had already (very recently) passed. even if it wouldn’t be possible for him to work on her, he could’ve TOLD US that before hanging up. it’s as if he forgets the person on the other end of the phone has feelings.extremely unprofessional and rude.
