This entire company is phenomenal, I've loved taking my cat here for the last few years. The reception staff is very kind and the vets and vet techs are all incredibly knowledgable. Prices are reasonable and I never felt pressure to purchase expensive products or operations, they talk through everything with care and compassion. My cat gets very nervous on car rides and isn't always on her best behavior at the vet because of this, but they were all kind and understanding towards her.

Very caring and compassionate staffs. They really took their time to listen and observe, our dog is 15-year old and has multiple issues, but they narrowed down to couple potential causes, prescribed an antibiotic treatment, and thank goodness our senior dog has gotten better!!I also like that they have separate waiting rooms for cats and dogs! Definitely keep every animal calm in this setting.

This is the BEST vet. I can’t say enough good things about them. They are so helpful, caring and knowledgeable. Unfortunately we had to move, but for anything serious, I would drive 4 hours to take my dog to see Dr.Lee. Would give 6 stars for this vet if I could!

After 12 years and 3 other veterinary practices I think we found home for the fur family. After getting a quote from our last vet for dental we realized their costs increased by double. We decided to look elsewhere, and saw many recommendations by others on Nextdoor. Went in for a consult, had two of our dogs in, dental extraction/cleaning and removal of nonmalignant tumor. And the charges were much less then what we would have paid. I know cause we got quotes. Besides being economical (I have to be cause it's not cheap to have a pet and certainly multiple pets) I value the care and professionalism we get from their vets.

Highly Recommended! Friendly, helpful and accommodating staff. Took my kitty cat for a check up. We had a great experience with Dr. Ian Kidd. He is highly knowledgeable, patience, and thoroughly answered all my questions. He was very gentle and made my kitty feel safe and comfortable. I'm happy to know we are in very good hands for years to come!

This is a wonderful family-owned small business. The staff and doctors here are kind, organized people who take time to talk with me about my my neurotic rescue dog, and treat her gently. They also give good advice over the phone, which is key when said dog starts barfing while we are on a weekend getaway. Their prices are reasonable and they don’t try to sell you treatments and prescriptions you don’t need. This business is a gem!

Great staff and Dr. Kidd was amazing! We had to put our beloved cat down after many precious years with our Smocha Bear. Sadly there was not much anyone or anything could do for our cat, it was her time. Dr. Kidd is an expert in his field and explained everything in detail in a way that made us feel at ease knowing we were making the best call for our Smocha.

My 12 year old Border Collie had a medical emergency and my regular vet was unable to see her until the following Monday. I called Moraga Vet and they got me in that morning. The staff was absolutely amazing! When I arrived my dog collapsed when I got her out of the car. I went inside and they rushed out and got her into an exam room in seconds, literally. Dr. William Kidd examined her and after a thorough exam with ultrasound and X-ray, her prognosis was grim. He could not have been kinder as he explained her options. I made the difficult decision to have her put to sleep. Both Doctors Kidd came back with me to say goodbye to her. They and their staff were beyond exemplary in their gentle treatment of my pup and me. They helped me through the worst day ever, and I will be forever indebted to them for their professionalism and kindness.

Dr. William Kidd is a genuinely caring doctor. He elaborated the care for my dog from one disease to another. He spent a great deal of time being very resourceful regarding how to give my dog’s medications. He has knowledge and understanding regarding dog’s breed as well as how to take care of them. And his patience to care for the animals is just exceptional. One must have such a big heart to love the animals that much !!!!

Moraga Vet had been recommended to me by a family friend who lives in the area. My 8 month cat who lives with me in my dorm was having tummy issues and I couldn't bring myself to have us travel 1.5 hours to go our vet back home. I was able to bring Smog in on the same day and had such a great experience with the staff, particularly Dr. Ian Kidd. I appreciated being able to go into the exam room with my cat and have a genuine conversation regarding the best treatments for Smog. I walked out feeling so confident about choosing the right providers for my cat! I highly recommend Moraga Vet to anyone in the Lamorinda area and to any SMC students!

Dr. Ian and his staff are great! Always fair and explains everything thoroughly without rushing you. They have handled one of my very timid and anxious cats without ever stressing them out. Easy to get an appointment too! I still travel after moving 30 minutes away to bring my animals here because I know I can trust them to give the best care.

I rescued a cat at Moraga Commons Park and Moraga Veterinary Hospital staff were so kind to come to the car and scan for a chip, which this kitty had, and because of that I was able to return the kitty to it's family. Kitty was far from home and not just an escapee from one of the nearby homes. Mystery as to how it got there!

This review regards a follow-up visit after seeing a different, Berkeley, vet. Our dog suffered major bite injuries 5 months ago, and we were initially told it was unknown as to whether he could again use his front leg. Dr. Bill Kidd saw Dino. He was knowledgeable but would not prescribe medicine for Dino’s serious wound, suggesting instead to get a diagnosis from a different vet. While he said he performs surgery often, he did not suggest that he handle the procedure. In all fairness his time was limited (it took a while to get to and from Cal 24, so he had about 10 minutes to check the dog out). Nonetheless he seemed unhelpful in the ordinary sense of the word.

Busy practice, buts always finds a way to fit in an urgent matter. Vets are honest and not alarmists; they don't run up the bill with needless tests and scans. Support staff is excellent.
