I asked help from the worker inside the dairy refrigerator, and he acknowledged my voice but ignored me after calling him three times. I needed to know if there was any Lucerne Belgium Chocolate coffee creamer. I then proceeded to another gentleman in the aisles. I asked him if he could check for the creamer. He did not hesitate to check and provided the best customer service he could. The man who ignored me was Freddy, and the man with the great customer service was Carlos. In relaying my experience with Carlos, he frowned at what had occurred and just said nicely, I thank you for looking for someone else. I can tell that employee interactions between them are a bit unfriendly and that leads to a hostile work environment, which is not good for staff or customers needing assistance. Carlos, I give you sincere thanks for going above and beyond to help me get my creamer.

This store has to be one of the worst run Vons in the LA area. I've never stopped in and not been greeted with an outrageously long line to checkout. I can't remember a time that I've ever seen more than 2 cashier's working at the same time and there's no self checkout.It feels like it's faster to just drive to either of the Ralph's close by even if you're already in the Vons shopping center for something else.

Deceitful: last night after work I went to buy a few pounds of sirloin on sale gif 4.99lb. The person working behind the butcher said he could not give me the cut in the fridge because the butcher was gone for the day. He said to come tomorrow between six and three. I went today at 5 o’clock after work and the butcher was not there, and the meat I requested was already cut and prepackaged outside. But the price was twice as high. I went to the manager and asked if they would honor the price from yesterday because of what happened and they refuse to honor the price..

This place is ridiculous. Too many cashiers and not enough grocery baggers. I've only seen one, that's right, ONE grocery bagger and FOUR cashiers open. Where are the other people to help bag? The manager (Karen H.) Supervisor (Karen G.) and Assistant Director (Darlene) are extremely rude and have a very passive aggressive tone to their voice every time they speak to someone. I will not be coming back to this store. They need a serious attitude check and better staffing. This is insane. Please do not come to this store.

Worse supermarket that I have been to. In the past, the cashier (older white lady) purposely scanned one less item one the "you must buy 4 or more to get the savings" so I would be overcharged. Then while I knew what happened and was checking my receipt, the cashier panicked and repeatedly told me to leave the store. Of course, I talked to a supervisor and got the price adjusted. Today, I was charged incorrect price for and wanted a price adjustment so correct price would be charged. Cashier (another older white lady, Karen according to the receipt) just processed the refund when what I actually wanted price adjustment (I even took photo of the correct price to show her) but said she could do it, and was short with me and gave attitude. I will not be returning to this store.

Clean, manager was on the floor hustling which you don't see often and he still helped me with getting something from the back. Store is well stocked and employee's are nice, funny and have great energy.

Really want to like this store, but the quality of their grocery pickup service is not dependable. I've received some really bad substitutions (an item that's not even the same type of product). It'd be great if they had options like Ralphs (Once shopping is done, Ralphs texts you a list of subs to approve or deny. I know the local employees at Vons have no control over the fact that this option doesn't exist. BUT they do have control over at least giving reasonable subs, like the same category of item even if it's a different brand or variety. Vons is closer to me, so I'm usually willing to pay the higher prices so I don't have to drive to Ralphs, but I might have to switch. I love that Vons offers their own pickup service, as opposed to using instacart, but bad subs plus no communication about them on top of that ruins any potential benefit.

Bad store. Very few handicapped parking spaces, the managers and some of the employees are rude. I would not recommend coming here. You're better off going to the foothill store. More parking and it's a bigger store so more stuff available.

Usually a good neighborhood store but this is the second time cashier Karen (on receipt) has been unpleasant. She spent a lot of time with one customer, let them keep their stuff blocking everything and when I moved to put in my Vons# she snapped at me to let the lady get her stuff. I was already rung up by the casheier why’d she ring me up if I couldn’t move up?!? So that was her friend or family maybe? I didn’t want to tie up the line but I don’t appreciate the selective attitude at all

Some departments seemed kind of small, especially the canned cat food section, but on the whole, the store was clean and very organized. The cashier wasn't overly friendly, but efficient and nice enough to do the job and make the experience pleasant enough. He even helped me bag my groceries, which not every grocery store is doing yet. I really appreciate that. I used to live in that area, so I used to go there all the time. Today, I was visiting a friend for lunch at El Pollo Loco up the street, and decided to go to Vons before heading home. It was good to see that the store has remained a good place to go for grocery needs, and had maintained its high standards of business.

Was there last night 7P. 2 checkers, I counted my line had 12 people waiting in it. No manager in site, no calls for back-up checkers. The store seems nearly deserted of employees, shelves empty. It's like an Eastern-bloc grocery store where you wait in long lines, and many items are often out of stock. While waiting in the long line - which wrapped around past the entrance, watched a guy walk in, look at the line, turn around and leave. It's like Von's Senior Management is sending a loud message to their customers - "PLEASE DON"T SHOP AT THIS STORE. WE DON'T VALUE YOU OR WANT YOU HERE!!!". This was not a one-time occurrence. Frequently only 1-2 checkers working, no self-checkout, and no Manager in sight. I've had better experiences in Beirut grocery stores.

I ordered grocery delivery and it used to come from the La Crescenta store. I have been using your grocery delivery since 2015. Recently Von's changed the store that the groceries come from. I never shop at this store as they do not carry most of the items I'm looking for. The last 2 weeks I haven't been able to get the bottled water that I ordered. Last week instead of iceburg lettuce they gave me cabbage and the week beforethat they substituted disinfecting wipes for cleanser that you sprinkle in the sink! Hopefully I can find another store in the neighborhood that delivers groceries, that stocks these basic items.

Good: Convenient, ample parking, no grifters asking for money in the parking lot, nice staff!Bad: I suppose it's about 10-20% smaller than the average Vons. The selection is limited in some areas. Paper towels are obscenely expensive, and their "heavy cream" is indistinguishable from half-and-half.If you're in the neighborhood, it's "Good Enough."

This place is pretty dark and seems to be struggling keeping merchandise in the shelves. I have been here a couple times for simple items and they just haven't had them. The drugstore next door seems better stocked.

This is an older Vons so it’s smaller and doesn’t have the vast selection (or crowded aisles) of the larger stores. Vons is the best California chain for meats... they are consistently good and if you shop the specials, reasonably priced. Unfortunately their produce has never been that great ... may look fine, but mediocre in the taste department

Being recognized by the staff (not just the loss prevention ) at your local grocery store, gives me a special feeling. Like I kinda expect to hear "NORM!" as I walk in. But I dont. I guess maybe because my name isnt norm and I didnt just walk into a bar in Boston. Anyway, it's nice the staff make my shopping experience so pleasant. Thanks!

I normally go to this Vons, this was my go to store because it was so convenient to my location but after this recent encounter with a Karen (yes her name is literally Karen), I will no longer go and will be taking my money elsewhere. This Karen is supposedly a manager/supervisor and yet is extremely passive aggressive to customers and needs a serious attitude check and/or possibly retraining on customer service. She also apparently doesn't know where items are located at the store.

I couldn't find bottled sparkling water or protein bars here. They have one brand of sparkling water and only granola bars, the selection is way too limited compared to an average grocery store.

I've tried... again and again... but check out cashiers are clearly not trained well....Back when I was on wic, the cashier felt the need to SCREAM across the store to another cashiers that she "was doing wic" super unprofessional...Last time that I went, the cashier checked out $180 worth of my groceries without ever acknowledging me and chit chatting with another employee the whole time.I will say, the Starbucks (evening) guy is always friendly and helpful.I think management needs to better TRAIN it's employees, definitely.

great selection of products, if you can't find something at a different Supermarket location. I hope this place does well after the remodel, considering Whole Foods just opened up down the street. They also have fantastic customer service

Friendly staff and plenty to choose from. Like Ralph's, they are a little pricey, but that's ok when the service is of high quality. Plenty of parking available. You can buy postage stamps, lotto tickets/scratchers, they have a coinstar with Bitcoin purchase available...aside from the usual market stuff. Full lunch menu is available all day.

This small Vons is the best for just about every item you might need. And, most importantly, you can always get checked out speedily.The Vonson Pennsylvania and Foothill is impossible -- unless you selfcheck.
