I have prescriptions on January 15…..On 16th CVS responded that it would be ready by 17th. On 18th late night , tried to pick up, the pharmacy ignored that I was there for about 10 minutes because I was the only person at the window. The young lady finally came to the window and then helped another woman behind me on next window. She said that my medication is not available and there will be delivery to CVS on Saturday.I returned four days later to the same window, but still not available, a pharmacist told me that they would check with morning shift tomorrow. I am waiting…….it s almost 3 weeks .. still no update or message from CVS.

A lot of the over the counter medications are locked. The button to call the representative doesn't work. After a talked to someone and they called an associate over PA, no one came. I ordered the medication from Amazon and left. Avoid at all cost!

My goodness, if I could give a zero to this CVS I would...solely based on the nastiness of Nurse Tran in the minute clinic. Just a nightmare of a bedside manner and way too condescending. I wonder if the lack of direct supervision over the Minute Clinic operations by a pharmacist is what makes this Tran fellow so bold. He seemed fully empowered to be his worst self. I had one visit that I didn't love but thought "hey, maybe let's give it another shot." He left a rude voicemail when I setup a sports physical for my daughter, outlining all the various reasons we should expect the visit won't be completed. If/this then/that type statements. It was just demoralizing and negative. Luckily, CVS has other locations. We are using another one that's a couple miles away and all is well. Sometimes you just run into duds that aren't on brand . Please avoid this location at all costs.

Wanted to check a prescription and was on hold for 15 minutes. Then they hung up on me. Very poor customer service.

Worst cvs branch ever. Just called today 10/16/2023 at 4:30pm to fill up a new prescription from my dr. My dr. sent the prescription to cvs in 2626 Colorado,LA my go to branch because their the best but I don’t feel well and cvs montrose is near my home so I called them and the lady who answer the phone says that she cannot do it. I need to call the other cvs to put a hold on my meds and she wants me to do the calling her reason is it will take them a couple of hrs before they could make the call. I asked her name but she just hang up on me. When I called cvs in 2626 Colorado, LA i was asked why i am calling because, cvs montrose should do it. I’ ve been to other cvs and yes they would do the calling for u and this is not the first time that this happen.

Great place, and the cashier was super nice, very professional, customer oriented, she made me feel valued and care for, God bless her and family.

Perfectly nice, reasonably professional staff with management who seem to have decided customer-to-staff ratio is irrelevant. Apparently you can expect to wait at least 30 mins for just about anything. Get ready to be angry! I waited around for an hour and witnessed three justifiable customer meltdowns. Arriana independent pharmacy is a 2-min drive away.

My prescriptions are screwed up 95% of the time. I will be switching to a different pharmacy.

The staffs I met today were so friendly, helpful, and patient. They also followed up on your order if there's any issue. I really appreciate the services they provided and highly recommend shopping at this CVS.

Never go to this pharmacy. Staff members do not care about the customers and they charge you too many times for the same medicine. When I asked th to mail it to my house, there was text from a third party courier service asking me where to drop off my medicine and can she leave it at the door. They always leave at the door. I don’t like to reply to those texts because, if I do, there will be so many spams that will jam my phone right after I send a reply.I didn’t receive the medicine. They charged me the co-pay, later, the next day, I called and said I didn’t receive my medicine. The supervisor who answered my call who said I’ll take care of it. Immediately she went and charged me another $ 20. I got a message from my Bank a message immediately saying that your card is being charged. I went to person to find out why are they charging me all these money, she said, they will return it, it will take 2 weeks to go back to my account and to come back after 2 weeks and check to see if it has been credited back on my credit card. The worst service ever. Annie is the pharmacy supervisor (pharmacist), she is a liver and steeling people’s money. Hope this is useful and check you account if you pay for medicine at this pharmacy, because for the same medicine they will charge you multiple times.

THIS IS NOT A 24 HOUR PHARMACY!!They close for lunch and they don't fill prescriptions for me until after 8am sometimes 10 am.This night pharmacist is so unkind, unprofessional and just absolutely Horrible. Never answer phones. Terrible customer service in pharmacy!!Another horrible experience at 6am. Annie the Manager of the Pharmacy called me after I was rudely ignored at the Pharmacy. She yelled at me for 5 straight mi uses accusing me falsely about a situation her pharmacist caused. Then she hung up on me. She is so unprofessional and should not be dealing with people who are in need of help and medication.I called again and spoke with Annie in hopes to resolve this horrible experience. She informed me that she is in charge of that Pharmacy and noone is above her and if any problems she handles everything.Wow!! Had no idea Annie was in charge of Montrose CVS. Would like to know from a corporate source if that is an accurate statement.I have used this Pharmacy for family members for 40 years and have never had an issue so disturbing. Especially trying to get necessary medication for my parents.

I spoke to a woman on the phone about a simple generic topical cream. She first told me she had no record of the prescription, then that my doctor needed to represcribe it, and then that they did not have it in stock. I was cordial and polite with her, but kept trying to find a solution rather than call my doctor or schedule another visit that would cost time and money. She hung up on me, I called back, and waited on hold for half an hour. When I finally spoke with her, I asked her to transfer the prescription to nearest neighboring Walgreens, and she said “I’m not calling them you have them call me. Bye.” I don’t understand how you can treat someone who doesn’t raise their voice, curse at you, or in any way act rudely just treat someone like garbage and change your explanation more than three times. Seems like a disgruntled and poorly equipped employee to be handling prescription medications.

The pharmacy in the Montrose CVS is definitely super, & a cut above the rest (that includes private pharmacies).I used to get my medication from a private pharmacy in S. Pasadena, where I totally loved the staff & service, so when logistics made me change my pharmacy to a CVS system, I was not happy because I had bad experience with the CVS pharmacy on Chevy Chase.I was so lucky to choose this location, because their service is excellent!!There is a very positive vibe from the pharmacists to the staff, someone is creating magic there...I was hesitant to write this review because I don't want them to get busier, but we have to give credit where credit is due.Thank you ALL for making our experience much more pleasant, showing compassion & rendering the best service possible 👍

We have been using this pharmacy for years. Two weeks ago I went to pick up a prescription. Then I decided to pick up my free Covid Testing kit. At the register, they told me I had to go to the counter where it says (Drop off) since they had to check my eligibility for the free Covid test. While I was there the "pharmacist" told me that she had to process my prescription again, which meant I had to go and sit in the waiting area and wait for my name to be called. While I was waiting I was able to see that one woman took the paper bag with my medication and my Covid test kit, and gave it to another woman. The second one put my medication back on the shelf. My name was called and the woman gave me my covid test kit. I was surprised I asked her for my medication and she said I was only getting the test kit. I was like, "genius" I am here for my prescription which you put back on the shelf. I swear I don't know how these people get hired.

I am someone with a degenerative spinal disease, so I suffer from chronic pain. In the past I have had trouble getting CVS to fill legitimate prescriptions for pain killers. They would claim that my doctor had not submitted the proper forms to my insurance company or that the insurance company had rejected the claim. I would go along with this, and usually after 2 to 3 days, my prescription would be filled. This caused unnecessary stress, but I had planned my refills correctly and had become used to it. Recently, I had major back surgery. While in the hospital, I received a text from CVS telling me that they would not fill my doctor’s prescription for pain relievers because I did not have pre approval from my insurance company. At the time, my pain was tremendous without pain killers. What I did not know at the time was that my pain was going to get worse before it was going to get better due to surgery, which is why the doctor was sending me home with stronger pain killers than the ones that had been prescribed by my pain management doctor. The idea of going home from the hospital without pain relievers was unacceptable, and to top it off, the idea that the insurance company would not cover a $42 bottle off pills on discharge of over $100,000 of insurance was absurd. So, I called CVS. The first person I spoke with told me that they needed to get pre approval and would fax my doctor the forms on Monday and then it would take 2 to 3 working days to fill the prescription. I explained that this was ridiculous and that I was in the hospital and everything that I already stated. He said that I could pay cash for the prescription. I said, “Great, I will do that and you can reimburse me once the pre-approval comes in.” He said they couldn’t do that. I said that’s highly unlikely. I have already been preapproved, and you very well know that. I needed CVS to fill my prescription. I could not imagine going home from the hospital without adequate pain meds, so I worked my way through the initial guy who answered to another guy, and finally to a guy who claimed to be the manager. None of them were accommodating. Their explanations were inconsistent, and they all lacked basic customer service training. They blamed my doctor, my insurance company,… everyone except for themselves. The “manager” even started to tell me about the time he had surgery. I shut that down quickly and told him to do their faxing and whatever and that I would pick up my prescription in 2 to 3 business days. My nurse said that another patient had had a similar experience with CVS, and that my doctor would help me out upon discharge. Upon discharge, my doctor said that there is preapproval and to let the CVS prescription run its course and pick it up in 3 days. He wrote me another prescription for a 3 day supply of the same pain meds. I took it across the street from the hospital to Vons, showed them my insurance card, and Vons filled it for no charge to me. 3 days passed, and I called CVS. They told me that I had not been preapproved, and they would not fill my prescription. I called up my insurance company and discovered that had been approved from the very beginning, and they could not explain why CVS would not fill my prescription. So, I called my doctor, had him cancel the CVS prescription and call a new prescription to a nearby independent pharmacy, and the prescription was filled for no cost to me. I have since transferred all my prescriptions to the independent pharmacy. They are much nicer and easier to deal with and even had the humanity to recognize that the reason I was in need of their pharmaceutical services was because I was suffering. I do not know why CVS lied to me and would not fill my prescription. They are a very large corporation who does not need my business. I think it was very unfair of them to put me through all this stress immediately after being discharged from the hospital, but obviously, they don’t care.

I live close to this CVS and I like the fact that it’s open 24 hrs. I always go there between midnight and 2 am when I suddenly have the urge or need to buy something. Their staff is friendly, their prices are competitive and best part is they just remodeled again for the Covid health center. The pharmacy can work on filling prescriptions more quickly but overall I don’t always fill medications so it’s not a huge deal.

The pharmacist are extremely impatient and rude. They should work on creating a supportive environment. Based on the negative reviews they have opportunities. Kathy should be more respectful and not leave people on hold for 25 minutes. I don’t recommend going to this pharmacy.

Edit: As a mom of young kids I go here a lot now. The pharmacy staff (there seems to be one in particular) always help me out with discount codes, because I pay cash instead of doing prescriptions through insurance. Twice now I have gotten my kids' antibiotics for less than $12!Prior review:Seems fine to me. I don't go to a lot of Pharmacies, but the 3 times I have been to this one, even at very odd hours, the 3 different people who helped me were efficient and caring.

Terrible experience in the pharmacy. The techs are incompetent and have really bad attitudes. I've never had to deal with such horrid people. Unhelpful and they do not know what it means to have customer service . I would give zero stars if I could. The other employees outside the pharmacy are amazing and helpful.

Let talk about the pharmacy manager Annie Aslanan, she is completely unprofessional and is a Pariah for the CVS brand not only is she rude, condescending and plain out nasty. She hung up on me after belittling me calling me desperate when I’m simply getting a prescription filled. I thought for my country and now I’m being treated like I am a beggar at the door. She should be transferred, fired or retrained. Get her out of the CVS Montrose. She’s ruining countless peoples experience as it’s obvious you guys do not read your reviews because it’s been an ongoing issue for months now. The phone wait times are atrocious and when your call is answered you’re being treated unnecessarily rudely.

This is quite possibly the worst run pharmacy in the country. I waited in line for 45 minutes to pick up a prescription that I ordered yesterday. This is not a one time event, but an ongoing display for lack of care about the customer's time. By the way, my prescription was not ready when I got to the front of the line.I went and asked for a manager 30 minutes into being in line. The said they would be over in 2 minutes. After 10, another manager came to look at the line and not help. When I asked him to help the customers in line, he turned his back on us and walked away - well done CVS - you just lost my business for life!

WARNING: This pharmacy and it's staff is by far the worst you'll ever experience. Not just a one time experience for me either but EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I've had to come here. At this point, I much rather drive 40 min to the next 24 hour pharmacy then ever have to use this place again. No joke, every time I'm here, someone is yelling at the staff for screwing up a prescription or their lack of empathy towards them, the patients. Very sad!Go elsewhere if you are able!

The minute I walked in I didn’t feel welcome. I was the only customer in the pharmacy area and two women and a man were in the pharmacy, only one was actively doing something. I stood there for a good few minutes before they noticed me or made any attempt to acknowledge me, though I saw all three glance at me multiple times.I was there to pick up needles for hormone injections, the woman at the pharmacy refused to even walk over and talk to me at the counter, instead shouting at me from a computer desk further back (I had to ask “what?” multiple times to understand her). She said they don’t carry those and I have to “get them from my doctor”.I have picked them up from plenty of other CVS locations in California and have a feeling it has to do with me having a shaved head/being obviously queer. Most of the other locations I’ve picked up from are not in such conservative areas. I’d guess they’re uncomfortable or unwilling to help queer folks who come in.Don’t go here.

The pharmacist here are extremely lazy, especially Annie the manager. She wouldn’t take my good rx on a c-iv prescription Ativan pharmacy which would’ve gone down from $50 to $24. These people don’t belong in the pharmacy and I would know having 2 years experience at a cvs pharmacy in Hollywood. Absolutely disgraceful.

I hate that I am greeted every time I walk in the door and offered help. I know that sounds ridiculous but it isn't genuine. The cashier is usually busy helping someone else. Plus, half the time I am in a hurry and I would have to stop to listen to the entire greeting. Then, when you get up to the cashier to pay, she asks if you found everything okay. Once, I said no, you don't have x, y, or z. She just went on with ringing me up, as if her training stopped after the question. Plus, all these bucks you earn, I can never find them to use them. They aren't on the app as far as I can tell. And, their paper receipts go on for days. Now, the receipts are emailed to me along with these bucks but I never see them. And, they rearrange things too often.

Big lines at night. They need to hire more people. It has gotten better during the day. I often see the manager in the pharmacy during the day. Nightime is terrible expedcially during flu season. I wish they would hire more people.I'm upgrading my review from one star to three because Jane the pharmacy tech got my prescription off the computer, filled it herself and gave it to the pharmacist. This showed initiative. They still need to increase staff during flu season. The phone was non stop.

This is one of the worst pharmacies that I have been to. I have been given someone else’s medicine and didn’t discover it until I got home. It was very unsafe and frustrating.Today I have waited over 8 hours for 1 single prescription for which I pay cash so blaming my insurance isn’t an option for them. This is the last time I get a prescription from this place. They need to step it up but I won’t be back. Horrible!!

Wow the female pharmacist working 9/6/2021 at 9:45am is dangerous to have employed. When I called with questions regarding a medication she answered incorrectly and tried to get me off the phone ASAP. Having someone like this employed will get someone killed eventually.

I was not going to post this, but it's not the first time I'be been to this store and as soon as I walk in the staff makes me feel really uncomfortable. I appreciate been greeted but no dirty looks from cashier (Betti) and manager or employees walking around me like if I was going steal something. I know they are trying to stop shoplifters but it should not be base on racial profile. Manager (Jack) told me that they greet everyone and there was nothing hew can do and walked away. Very poor people skills. I for sure went be back to this location. CVS headquarters should do something about it to improve customer service.
