Great sandwich spot, there are nice sitting arrangements and looks like a family run restaurant. So I ordered the turkey sandwich and added bacon to it. The sandwich was made to perfection, everything tasted good. I also ordered a side of hash brown which was very greasy and I felt the oil used to fry the hash browns were old so won’t recommend the hash browns but they have some good sandwiches and the size is huge I had to share a sandwich.

Great pit stop for lunch or dinner. Service is very quick - menu is extensive but everything sounds amazing! Can make your own sandwich combo too if you wished. Portions are huge, I was able to save half for the remainder of our drive that day. Ingredients are fresh and the roll was delicious, soft and crispy outside! I would recommend as a stop thru.

Stopped by on our way down the PCH. Oh my God this place is the bomb!!!. I have to say when I first walked in I was a little skeptical of how good and fresh the sandwiches would be but oh my was I impressed!!!This is the best damn sandwich I’ve had in a very long time. The Ingredients are fresh, from the Vegis to meat. Good God! I just wish I could take this home with me back to Atlanta. What a great sandwich. Service was great with a smile and a great atmosphere of coziness. You can even see the ocean from the seating inside.There’s also outside seating as well. As well as a pet friendly area. If you’re on your way up or down the coast this is definitely a stop!

We have been eating here during visits to town for the past few years. I have told friends and family about Gherkins! The shop is a typical beach side, no frills place with a few tables/ booths for dine in, which we usually don't do. The person who took our order and cooked it was friendly. I don't usually leave reviews, but I feel the need to let you know the burgers, which used to be amazing, seem to be frozen patties similar to those bought at the grocery store. Fries abundant, buns and toppings are still good, but it was disappointing to pay $20 for gross frozen meat that we could still taste at the end of the day. I'm sorry to say the garlic (fries) isn't good either. It was not very garlicky, which says to me that it came from a jar/can. I guess it's better for garlic breath! We have eaten sandwiches from this location, and they have been amazing and so-so on different occasions. So... there it is, my review :/ and we probably won't be back.

I was very excited to find Gherkins Sandwich shop while on a week long trip to HMB. As a vegetarian we usually get stuck with the same repetitive sandwich options when going to delis, but I was ecstatic to see that most of their sandwich options could be made vegetarian by substituting the default protein with tofu.I got a number 19 - Cal Fire with tofu which had honey mustard sauce, avocado and cheese (I switched the pepper jack for swiss). My husband got a #20 - The Sheriff with tofu, which had a Frank's Red Hot sauce. I loved the whole gherkins on the sandwiches! The biggest drawback for us is that the sandwiches were very messy to eat. The tofu ended up being cubed, so the sandwiches started falling apart instantly. I think it would probably be better if the tofu was cut into slabs if possible. I also think some extra seasoning on the tofu would be great.The sauces on our sandwiches were also a little runny, which kind of added to the messy-ness.We had gotten chips but didn't end up eating them because we were so full after the sandwiches. Overall a good option for lunch, but I would have preferred if the sandwiches were a little easier to eat.

Our Fajitas Sandwich was awesome! Great marinated diced beef, lots of veggies, with super crispy bread… I can say they are doing serious sandwiches here instead of an overpriced tourist shop as we expected when we stepped in. Highly recommended.

Their fries!!!! The best fries ever. They're super busy after 11am, so best if you review the menu online, and be ready to order when ots your turn. Don't let the long line scare you, their service is fast and precise. They were not able to sell their fries pickles or fries bananas because they were so busy, losing a star.

Take some time to look at the menu BEFORE you get to the front or you will majorly play yourself. We accidentally got everything on our sandwich and it was crazy, so many flavors. If you exercise more control it could be a 5/5. Also got the fried gherkins which were also a gut bomb. Vibe here is super gherkin-y.Vegetarian options: Many options to make vegetarian

Wish I would have come here sooner!! I always drive by this place but never stopped here. Today I decided to and it was worth it.I ordered a turkey on Dutch with American cheese, with everything except mustard. The sandwich was fat, as you can see by the photo but not overly big. The turkey had a great distinct flavor and they add a flavorful spread to the sandwiches. They also add a nice assortment of veggies, including little pickles, which have a nice crunch. The Dutch crunch bread was not overly bready (if that is even a word) and was perfect when toasted. The cheese even had a great flavor and was melted perfectly.Overall, it is a great spot and I will be back to try some of their many options as the menu is extensive. The other nice part is that it is not too expensive. I got a sandwich, chips and a jarritos and it came to $16 and change.Great job Gherkins and looking forward to more sandwiches!!

They have great sandwiches, you can build your own by picking the type of bread and ingredients you want to put on. They have tables indoors and outdoors, I definitely recommend to sit outside on a sunny day! The service is great, they're really friendly.

Ok, whoever is running Gherkins understands flavor. Case in point:- limitless sandwich options. so many toppings, sauces, breads, proteins to choose from (including veg friendly!!)- I love sauces. They do not skimp on sauces here. Pare down if you wish, but I ordered with "everything" and regret nothing- around 10 different kinds of chips to choose from- the drink fridge is better-stocked than your average gas station. They have regular sodas, Jarritos, multiple kinds of sparking water, Martinelli's apple juice, and so much moreAbsolutely the best deli spot to stop into and grab a sandwich for the beach!

Wowza!!! Their Elvis #11 (peanut butter banana bacon sandwich) was a great filling sandwich! If you like Elvis style sandwiches, this is the spot just outside of Pacifica. My wife had a hot sandwich and that was great too!

Small shop with a few tables inside and more outside. Located in a scenic area.Big sandwiches. I ordered a hamburger with Swiss cheese and mushrooms .also came with French fries and pickels.A bit in the expensive side but very tasty and satisfying.

Been coming here for many years and glad it is consistent. They load up these deli sandwiches and everything is fresh. Waits are never too long. Montara beach is only a couple minutes from here so it is perfect for relaxing for lunchtime.

My boyfriend and I absolutely LOVE Gherkins! It's one of our favorite sandwich spots and we frequently drive from SF just to get one. The Midnighter is one of our favorite sandwiches and it comes with little gherkins. 😋 the big pickles in the jar are also a must. The service is also amazing. The guy that works the register is super nice and helpful!Vegetarian options: The eggplant sandwich!!! Sooo good!

Mannnnn, I got a Westside and my coworker got a pastrami joint. Both were smacking! I couldn’t even finish mines. Clever names on the sandwiches and huge selection. Some eye catching art on the walls while you wait for your sando.

Drove past a million times. Thought I'd try it for once. In a word: DELICIOUS!!! I had the "Nor-Cal". Not only was the sandwich delicious, it was HUGE! Could only eat half and had to take the other half home. I'll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to all my friends! The staff was very friendly and accommodating too.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!Kid-friendliness: There's a little gated sandbox with a cornhole board inside for the little ones.

Want a hearty sandwich? Gherkins is the place to go. They have a good selection of sandwiches. The huge dill pickles are to die for!Parking: Parking is limited. If you go at a busy time it could get tricky getting a spot.

Great sandwiches! I got the Nico and a create your own sandwich! The create your own was the tuna which was really good! Plenty of meat on the sandwiches and condomints!! Friendly staff and they have outdoor seating. Grab a sando and head to the beach! give this place a try!
