While the corporate chains are busy price gouging us, this employee owned grocery cooperative is doing its best to keep prices low on ALL items. Excellent selection and quality: their produce department is very competitive quality wise with some of the fanciest Modesto retailers (the Saturday farmers market is the only place that ranks above them honestly!).Their bakery provides superb value and the quality is levels above the low, generic, Crisco+sugar stuff Safeway and Save Mart put out. All the employees are friendly and helpful. When your work is appreciated and appropriately compensated, you wear your pride as a worker-partner on your sleeve.Love this place- A+++

I always get there before the crowds show up. They have several scooters. Great prices. Nice store but watch out for the panhandlers if you drive a nice car.

Great shopping experience. Awesome prices, on canned goods, and plenty more. Tons of parking. Checkout lines tend to get congested, so I recommend shopping early morning before 9:00 am. Self checkout is 15 items or less.

Well what can I say it's the grocery store and it has groceries but these times are a little different My picture the amount of that little car is $27 so I recommend because it's the cheapest in the area but not cheap. 😬😷👍👍 Hopefully this carries right on in the 2024 and WinCo stays amazing 😷😀

Winco has great discounts and amazingly priced food. However their employees are definitely discounted too. It doesn't matter the level of employee, but almost every employee (except for the very few AMAZING and lovely ones)I have interacted with as both a customer and former employee have been so rude, judgemental, and sometimes just plain mean. Working there is worse because of the constant bullying, cliques, and God forbid you have any sort of health or physical issues because that's just a target on you.Other than that, they have some great prices, and very few super awesome kind workers that I hope you cross paths with.Unfortunately these attitudes go up as far as corporate workers too! It's quite amazing tbh..

Surprisingly great store for the value! Food is always fresh and quality is higher than you would expect from a "value" grocery store. Open 24 hours and they keep a decent amount of registers open at all times.THIS IS THE CHEAPEST PLACE IN TOWN AND NOT AT THE COST OF QUALITY 👌💯 late afternoons and weekends can get busy, try to do late night shopping if possible, it's a whole other place after dark

We have always had a good customer service at modesto winco, prices are reasonable. The only negative thing I can share is the produce. Always check the freshness such as lettuce, the bagged lettuce for salads as I have noticed the lettuce will go bad quickly. Other than that, this is our store for household groceries.

SO crowded!!! Lines from the check stand ALL the way to the back of the store, EVERY LINE. Out of everything. If they focused more on the hiring of cashiers and store stockers instead of 3 loss prevention employees to 1 cashier or stocker they wouldn't have to be overly prepared for loss.

Been shopping here for years. Never before a problem. This post is for a specific employee "Elena".Me, my wife and Infant were in line checking out with our groceries. We had a bottle of wine among our items and like I would do at any store, provided my ID. Elena looks at my wife and I and then asks for her ID. My wife had left it in the car and she refused the sale. We are both in our mid 30's with an infant. Not HS kids trying to buy booze. And its wine for gods sake. I quickly went to the ABC website which shows state law. Only one ID is needed. What do they do with the parent who buys beer or wine with a minor at their side? Refuse it ? How would this be any different. Send her back to the alcohol sales course. I mean I know she felt a risk to her job but she is CLEARLY uninformed. I assume it was because my wife is asian. Racist piece of work!

We shop here every month. We came last night at 8pm november 10. There was confusion about a sale and the woman in the red shirt working in the customer service department last night was very rude. I asked a simple question and got a aggravated and intimidating response from her. When i get her name i will update my review with it and inform her managers how rude she is and how rude she sounds to innocent customers that shop there every month.

One of my favorite things about WinCo is their bulk section. They have many types of food products, from baking staples, nuts, dried fruits, grains and legumes, pastas to a variety of candies and other snackage. Prices for these are generally competitive. Otherwise, it's a big store with a big selection to choose from.

Has everything I've ever looked for. Very good prices, good store layout, the carts are extra wide, and it even has a bulk foods section where I regularly fill bags of MnMs and Skittles for my dispenser, cheaper than just buying normal bags of the stuff. The self checkout scales are a bit finicky, but I don't think that's WinCo's fault.

This store is pretty clean staffs friendly. Haven’t had a problem yet. Yes it is open 24 hours. I feel like it’s more crowded at night than it is during the day but I’m glad and I’m grateful for those who work the night shift if it weren’t for them, the ones who need the groceries late night.

This is a big store and it only being my second time shopping here, I didn't know where anything was, so I did end up doing some backtracking. I noticed they have more options than the other, smaller stores I go to. They have many products you can bag yourself and are sold by weight. These products include items such as, cat food, dog food, bird seed, coffee, oats, grains, rice, nuts, trail mix, driedfruits, gummy candies, hard candies, chocolates and low sugar candies.You can also ground your own nut butters! Something I have never seen in a large grocery store.

Watch out for card thefts. Someone I think don't know if it was here or not. Someone saw my card and remembered the card numbers and tried to use my card in another store I guess or to take out money. Be aware of who you stand next to. They might remember the card numbers. Luckily they don't know my pin card number and I right now have it locked which no money would taken out. All they can do is give me money but not purchase or take out money. Be aware who you stand next to. You never know if that person is checking out your card and wants your card information to take your money.

Rarely go on a Saturday to avoid the crowds but today was mandatory. Most checkers were open and and we got though the line with about 8 items quickly.Checker was cheerful and helpful! Their prices are very good , although they've gone up like everyone else's.. The store is cleaned and well stocked. Although At 3:00 in the afternoon Saturday some areas were little sparse of items. It's our go to place even though it's 8 miles from our house. They revamped the store last year and did a nice job of layout and expansion.Almost every staff member will drop what they're doing and find what you ask for without asking. It's sure nice to find things in the same place every week and not hunt for them As there moved around every week or 2, Or just not carried anymore, like "another big Box stores It's prone to do As a way of driving impulse purchases".If able go before 8 AM in the morning. No crowds and shelves fully stocked
