This review is long overdue! I purchased a six month old ball python with the help of the store in Modesto. My daughter wanted a male python for her birthday. Only the Roseville location had a Male, and the Modesto location help coordinate having him brought down to my area to pick him up. Abby at Modesto location helped me from square one get everything that I needed for our lovely noodle ball. From the moment I walked in the door to answering all my questions, big and small to showing me everything I would need and giving me her upmost attention, time, and showing my kids great patience, I couldn’t be more thankful for all of her incredible help! Since then, we have been back to the store many times for feeders, questions, and troubleshooting. Abby, as well as Terrell’s, and Lawrence have been amazing each, and every time with their guidance! They speak of the reptiles at their store in their care with much affection, and it is obvious they love reptiles, and helping people learn about them. I also have stopped by the Stockton location and they were also very nice and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend visiting Abby, Terrelle, Lawrence and the other employees at the Modesto serpentarium for your reptile wants and needs!

I love the Serpentarium! The employees are always so amazing and patient. We purchased a panther chameleon for my daughter.... We always have lots of questions. Oliver has been fantastic!! It has been a few years since I left this review and although Oliver has moved to a different store we always get amazing customer service. The staff is always patient, knowledgeable, and kind. We recently bought a second chameleon and everything that he needs.

Went to check out some pythons and ended up with my new baby ❤️ Abbie helped me pick out everything from the substrate to the heating element. So happy with my new darling and I'll be coming back for food and to find out my babies gender. It's a must shop reptile store.

Stinky but it's amazing how well they take care of their animals! Their tank setups are beautiful and they know animal husbandry! Definitely would get a snake from this place in the future!

I wasn’t sure if the central valley area was big on reptiles. But, after visiting this store I can tell this area knows little to nothing about reptiles. The store is microscopic compared to other reptile stores I’ve visited. Over 3 quarters of the store was stocked with accessories. The other minuscule amount was actual reptiles. And even then, half of the vivariums were empty. I could count on both my hands how many reptiles were actually stocked in this store. And what was available seemed a little overpriced (over $500 for an Egyptian Uromastyx??) And the staff did not seem very knowledgeable about the reptiles (sand boas in particular). If you’re looking for a store to buy accessories for your reptile, then consider stopping by. If you’re looking for actual reptiles, do yourself a favor and travel down to SoCal where you can actually find some, or just order on MorphMarket.

Love this place, their staff, and what they sell. Very knowledgeable. I just wish they had a higher supply available due to such high demand, since they always are packed full of customers, and 2 out of 5 times, they don't have the insects I need, or they have them but they are too small for my Beardie.

Love coming to this place! The staff is all so knowledgeable and friendly! Love the place and the staff, except for Abby. The girl with dark hair that carries a gecko around. Went in there to purchase a bearded dragon and all the proper things for it. I was happily given the wrong wattage bulbs, a bearded dragon with a respiratory infection AND sold UVB bulb that was broken. I live an hour away, so it was a major inconvenience when I took my dragon to the vet and found out everything that was wrong and that i had to go back. I came back to the serpentarium with a positive attitude and the guy that was there helped me fix what was needed, Steven is an amazing worker. While ABBY was hiding in the back, giving me weird looks. Just funny cause she was so friendly the first time.. maybe commission based issue?

They are extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to go the extra mile.They have helped get me get completely set up by picking out the needed products to keep my reptiles comfortable.I had a mite problem, they helped me not only identify the problem, but also provided the solution.I also just found out that they will help you with a free mite check if you are worried about a possible health problem with one of your tiny friends!Super happy Overall, and I will keep coming here.

They are a really wonderful company. The stores offer much better quality of feeders and supplies; also a safe surrender place for reptiles! Staff are knowledgeable and more than willing to go the extra mile. They do a fantastic job caring for the critters in there care. Oh! they also have better prices, seriously other places charges 3x as much for feeders. Would you rather spend .13-.14 per cricket or .05 (rough numbers)

I liked it. We were so glad they were open! We almost didn't stop. They should put a colorful sign outside the front doors to show they're Open! There were very little Inventory though. I get that cause many suppliers can't ship product right now. Their personalities are great though. We bought feeders today but will come back for more stuff to enhance our turtle tank and shop for more reptiles.

Just dropped off Baby the Bearded Dragon for boarding + a “spa day” (bath/nail clippings). They do a great job with overnight boarding. I love coming to this Serpentarium and feel comfortable leaving my reptile here. Check out the photo of Baby and one of the employees!

Store is always clean and inviting. They insure health standards are met and mask laws are mandated. Staff is amazing and great with customers of all ages. Cheyenne is one perk of going into the store my god daughter bonds with people that make her comfortable and when we go in she’s always happy to see her. We’ve always been assisted quickly and get all our questions answered. Thank you serpentarium staff :)
