We had taken our little guy to another veterinarian before coming to Empire Veterinary and had a very bad experience there...Our little one was in pain somewhere and that veterinarian could care less as she demonstrated through her actions...***Dr. Sue and staff were totally different as they showed compassion and gave my wife and I a sense of relief when we visited their office...Doctor Sue checked our little one and took the time to evaluate him all over then prescribed medicine and instructions on what to do to help him heal...Doctor Sue helped us and we are grateful...She will be our go to when any of our pets need help...Thank you Doctor Sue...

They love each and every pet like it's their own. My dog was seen there and she has cancer and there's nothing they can do for her so in private gave me some pain medication for her but refuse to give her any more because they wanted me to pay for a new office visit knowing there's nothing that can be done just to let you know she's doing good we found some another doctor but I'll never go back there again and I have been going there for over 15 years

Concidering the circumstances that we are facing right now as a nation (covid-19) the vet were very curtious and Caring to my pet concidering that he is all but 2months old. I did not get to see any proseedures being done on my pup that he is supposed to get as a new born I trust that it all was done as we requested. Over all good experience for me and my pup.

Most unprofessional vet I’ve ever been to literally made me wait 2 hours in the waiting room after I had made my appointment 2 days before, (only reason we were there was to refill his heart worm meds) so long story short they let me sit there for almost three hours, charge me over a hundred dollars with the (discount they gave me for waiting so long) just to “not have the heartworm medicine” it’s now 4 days later, still no call or anything, my dog is pooping worms and I’m literally at the vets office door that says their closed cause their in a meeting.

PLEASE READ!As a certified veterinary assistant I am so disappointed in this clinic. Large dog owners beware. If your dog barks they most likely will classify your dog as aggressive. I am so disappointed in the quality of care my dog got. My dog was obviously anxious (panting a lot) when two vet assistants approached him he barked at them, I’d admit it was loud and could seem frightening but they were not friendly at all, didn’t say hi or nothing, literally just walked right up. After the bark they were quick to tell us that they were worried for their safety and wanted us to wait for the doctor to sedate him and walked away (he was getting neutered). Not even a min later the receptionist came up with a friendly voice acknowledging my dog and my dog approached her very friendly and she even told him to sit and gave him a treat. (Perfect example) She even took him to the back and he did perfectly fine. No growling, not barking, just a whimper when he would look back. They all came out and stayed with the conclusion that they didn’t want to risk it. Mind you my dog has not barked again. So we leave, when we come back they take us to a room to sedate him. Still no acknowledgement of my dog, no greeting nothing. The Vet comes in, in such a cold demeanor. She didn’t even introduce herself to us, didn’t even say hi to us nor my dog. The assistant told us to muzzle and restrain my own dog. When literally they’re was a sign on the wall stating “for your safety, our staff will restrain your dog”. When we came back to pick him up they told us to go in the room to pick him up. He was alone unsupervised and without a cone. They handed us the cone with no instructions. luckily I’m a certified veterinary assistant so I felt comfortable restraining him and putting on the cone but to expect that of your clients is plain out ridiculous! And No they did not know I was a veterinarian assistant. I did not feel comfortable with the staff at all. They only person I felt that actually cared for my dog was the receptionist. I will definitely not be coming back until I see a review that shows otherwise.

Even when we briefly moved back to Madera, we made the drive for our pets to see Dr. Sue. She and her staff are phenomenal! They are very personable and truly care. Miss Peewee always got the best of the best care. Even with her help crossing that Rainbow Bridge.

I am always impressed by the skill & love for animals shown by all who work here. I brought in 2 dogs with gunshots from a break in & both were saved & lived. My pets are always happy when we get there, happy when we go. I can tell my dogs like the humans even if they had to go thru surgery. They are not fearful, rather friendly with staff.

The care there is excellent so far. I've taken three of my dogs are and they have received excellent care. My dog jack is undergoing treatment for arthritis and he has improved 100%. The laser treatments and injections have worked very well with him. Jelly and puppy have also been well taken care of. So far I would recommend this place to anyone. The staff is very friendly and patient and I've gone out of their way to change my appointment when I could not make it. The staff also deserves the five stars. Ramon Magdaleno.

Very reasonably priced. They showed me a breakdown of charges beforehand and let me decide what was beneficial for both me and my pet. They gave suggestions for preventative care and also gave a separate estimate for that without being pushy. The office smelled and looked clean also. I will be returning.

The staff is very compassionate, caring, and was absolutely amazing through one of the most difficult times our family had. We received a beautiful card with a paw print, and a flower to plant to remember our dog, signed by each staff member sending their condolences. I would recommend Empire Veterinary to everyone.

This has been our vet for all of our furbabies, they always take great care of us. They are always compassionate and thorough. My lil dude had a tooth pulled, neutered, teeth scaled all in one visit.. they did a great job!!

The care is amazing. The drive to EV is forty minutes for us, but it's worth it when of our dogs need quality treatment. If you want to know that everything that can be done, is being done, this is the place to go.
