Lassen Volcanic National Park Headquarters

The headquarters is down the road from the park entrance. Currently at the end of June, you can only drive about 1 mile past visitor center to Sulphur works, then can walk the road about 3-4 miles. There is snow in the middle of the park so have to make a very long drive around. I did not think this 2 hr drive one way was worth the small amount you can see, many hikes are closed too. I was staying on the Manzanita side of park- more to see on that side with Devastated area open. See photo of current open walk and drive areas.Ticket type: National Park Pass or $30 per car.

Beautiful and geologically fascinating park. View volcanic activity, marvelous vistas, streams and waterfalls. Only 4 hours from the Bay Area.
