Know what to expect! The wifi is slow and the rooms lack TVs and phones. But this place is located just a few minutes from the national park. So, that means...go TF outside! I stayed for 3 nights and planned my days around the store/restaurant hours. It's helpful to have a hearty meal before or after hiking at the park and they didn't disappoint. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Would love to visit here againNearby activities: Very close to the national park

The lodge was pretty decent to accommodate in but the room I stayed in which was room 27 didn’t have the toilet bolted all the way down on the floor. Also the closet door wouldn’t close all the way. The restaurant however had a delicious pull pork sandwich and a chocolate peanut butter swirl. Me and my friends did play pool in the game room which was nice. Brandy was a good waitress as well.

This place is run down and scary. It looks like the Bates Motel. Our room smelled like mold. My lungs wouldn't allow me to stay. The girl in the restaurant was nice and said we could be moved to 'the other side'. Not sure what that meant, but didn't want to chance it. It was the first place we ever left. She wouldn't give us our money back.

This lodge has seen better days, but the rooms were comfortable, the shower/plumbing were great. There was plenty of hot water and the location (15 minutes from the park), the staff and the food were fantastic for someone passing through.Rooms: Rooms are dated, but serviceable. There is not any AC (only a ceiling fan) but with the cool mountain nights, there is great hydronic wall heat.Nearby activities: You really can't get any closer to the south entrance of the park!Food & drinks: I had a burger and it really hit the spot. The service staff was very courteous.Noteworthy details: They were very responsive to chat messages I sent via FB -- and VERY helpful with questions about the local area.

We called them twice to check about room availability and were spoken to very rudely by some guy. When my partner called and asked for room availability all he said was "no". When I called, he was still rude but shut me off the moment I mentioned I had a pet (not a problem but you can be nice). This place came recommended but I'm definitely not going to recommend to anybody!

We really enjoyed our stay here. We ate almost every meal at the restaurant and their food was delicious! The location is only 15 minutes from the Southwest entrance to Lassen Volcanic National Park. Hard to beat for convenience! The rooms were what you expect from a standard motel, nothing fancy but a place to sleep between days exploring the park. Good water pressure in the shower. We’ll stay again when we visit Lassen again.

Wow. Completely blown away. Not going to lie, came here not expecting much. That added to the experience. The first thing you will notice is how friendly the employees are. You are greeted at the door with a smile and told to take a seat wherever you like. The meals speak for themselves. True small town American cooking and it tastes as good as it seems. I would highly recommend anyone stopping by the area to come in and have a meal at this gem tucked away in Northern California. So good I had to post twice.

We stayed at one of the tent campsites in the premises of Lassen Mineral Lodge for two nights. The campsite was well equipped with all amenities - water spigot on site, clean bathrooms (can be accessed with key code only, which helps keep it very clean), common fire area, laundry, restaurant and general store. The campsite itself was very peaceful, shaded, and safe. We left our tents and went exploring, as everyone else. Loved the chill vibe there :)It’s only 15 mins to Lassen NP (southwest entrance - Kohm-yah-mah-nee Visitor Center), and was the perfect spot for us to explore Lassen and return without much driving. The lady at the restaurant was very friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely camp/stay here for our future trips to Lassen.

The restaurant: friendly service, a creamy traditional cappuccino (it's so awkward when you order a cappuccino and you get a latte in a to go cup! But that's not what they do here), and a generous amount of butter for french toast. Perfectly medium eggs exactly right. It's a good breakfast and I recommend it.

Amazing stay. Room was cozy and kitchenette had rly cute dishes, fridge, microwave, stove. It was so great to make real hot tea after snowy Lassen. Family took great care of us at the restaurant (SOOO GOOD), and the little store. Loved that there’s a real hotel key. Five minutes to Lassen made visiting so easy, we enjoyed the park so much more too.

We stayed here two nights towards the end of the road trip and loved it. The rooms at the lodge were nice and spacious and comfortable, and met our needs perfectly. It also happens to be one of the few nearby places with a full service restaurant. The food portions were awesome and big, and the food very tasty. Very large selection of beer for drinks, and even though the bar itself was closed because of social distancing, you could still get drinks from it for the restaurant. Though we didn't get it ourselves, they made one table a "Flaming Volcano" shot which gets lit on fire and it was awesome and got the tables all around looking. So a fun place to eat and drink and sleep!Oh, and the service from the waitresses as the restaurant was spectacular! Seriously some of the nicest and friendliest people that have served us near a national park. We will definitely be back next time we do Lassen!

We camped at the tent site for 2 nights in Lassen Mineral Lodge and went to the restaurant for breakfast the first morning. We ordered Bacon and Cheese Scramble (comes with hash/country potatoes and toast), Biscuits and Eggs( with country gravy instead of toast and bacon), eggs platter ( comes with hash/country potatoes and toast) and french toast. The food was a bit cold as it was served late but tasty. We ordered coffee and tea as well but that was served warm. The place seemed a bit understaffed and the service times were long.

Very kind and helpful service! We stopped by this family-owned restaurant to ask where to find firewood. We learned they also own the lodge and grocery store next door and they were quick to help us, even if the grocery store had closed at 5pm. They provided a nice bundle of firewood for a great price and were the nicest people. We wished we had more time to eat at the restaurant -- the food we saw served had large portions and looked delicious. They have a great selection of beers on tap too!

We tried the port ribs and the salmon sandwich. The ribs lacked flavor and had absolutely no smoke to them at all. The sauce was sweet (I prefer savory). The salmon sandwich was very good. The meals come with two sides. It's a lot of food to eat. Prices are moderate.

The Mineral store, what can I say 🤔..well I love saying hi to Jim every time we go in and I love that there is a place only a few miles away from us up here in the mountains so that I can buy cigarettes or alcohol or milk if we're in a pinch however be prepared to pay quite a bit more than you would if you just went to town. I also love that they have a pretty great selection of seasonal things like sleds, gloves for kids, jackets and even the best selection of long funny socks. The kids love the candy and toys, not unlike what you might get at a gift shop in an amusement park or Turtle Bay

If you are the type who travels to another city and then eats at Applebee's, you should probably skip this place. Old motel, no wifi, no TV, tiny shower. Very Route 66. We loved it. We relaxed in the chairs outside our room, drinking a bottle of wine from the general store. Yummy breakfast at the restaurant. My one complaint is the electrical outlet located basically behind one of the bed pillows seemed like an accident waiting to happen.

Very simple rooms but I loved it! This entire establishment (lodge, restaurant, store) is run by the same people and they are incredibly nice! I was really confused about checking in to the lodge late night and the lady at the restaurant was kind enough to direct me to the right gentleman. The gentleman who checked me in, was very sweet, particularly in giving directions to the room. They were also nice enough to allow us to eat at the restaurant even though it had been past their closing time (more on this in the review of the restaurant). The lodge itself reminds me a lot of the lodges back in India. Very simple, overgrown wilderness right outside. A couple of dragon flies entered the room with us and led to an interesting several minutes while I and the bf tried to get them out. Room itself has a bed, some chairs, a checkers cloth board, a little dining area, a small fridge and the restroom. There is a fan for coolness and a heater. The bed is SO SO SO comfortable!! I don't think I've slept so well in quite a while. We had the windows partly open and that, with the fan, was very nice from a temperature standpoint. Charging points are few. There is no wifi or cellular service is very poor. There is no tv so you can get the time away from technology which we loved. Water was nice and hot however the shower was a little small. All in all, we loved staying here and the people. Definitely recommend them for any future stays near Lassen!!Review for the restaurant:The lovely people here have completely biased my review 😃 We got to the lodge around 8:30 pm and after checking in, I asked what time the restaurant remained open till. One of the servers said, oh we close at 8 pm, then looked at the clock which showed 8:30 pm and then told me, "we can still seat you, no issues!" Who does that?! Only good people, that's who!! Couldn't thank them enough as we would've had to drive God knows how far to get food! They didn't rush us after seating either. For the dinner, we ordered the trout fillet, the steak with coleslaw, cottage cheese, chicken noodle soup and baked beans as sides and a glass of Chardonnay and IPA from the tap. The food was very good. Nice and homey and delicious. The sides were perfect accompaniments to the main courses. For breakfast the next morning, we ordered the Belgian waffle and the bacon and cheese omelet with country potatoes and a latte. This was also very good, well-made delicious and very filling. The latte was excellent! The prices are not cheap and you may have limited options of vegetarian. All in all, my experience with this family and establishment is a huge positive and I'll recommend it to anyone who comes this way!

We chose it because it looked rustic and homey, no frills and an inhouse restaurant. It is in the most beautiful country! Family owned and run by 3 generations. Within 5 minutes of Lassen National Volcanic Park. The food is great, rooms comfortable with a porch for sitting and enjoying the views. No wifi in the room or tv but would recommend 100%
