If you need a dog wash (especially if you have a black dog that makes a mess in the bathtub), this is the place to go. $10 for your first wash too, it’s a steal. Highly recommend after a muddy winter hike for your pup. 🐶

Wow, our dog recently has become red and itchy, we read that it may be an allergy to his food so we decided to go to Pet Food Express and look for a different food. As soon as we entered The store we were greeted by Julie and we asked her advice on the situation. She immediately recognized the problem and proceeded to take us around the store to point out the dog foods that would help. She explained in detail the difference between each food any how/why it would help our dog. She gave us her personal recommendations and then offered to show us some other products that would help. I was completely blown away but the service and attention we received, she was so thorough, so caring and so attentive. My partner and I walked out of the door and we just couldn’t believe the incredible experience we just had. If any business had Someone as amazing as Julie they are sure to succeed because she goes above and beyond. Not only was she amazing but all the employees were incredibly helpful and engaging. the atmosphere and interactions with the clients throughout the store were amazing, they have truly built a community in the store which was a really positive experience. This location is one of the furthest stores from us but we will be sure to drive the distance just to return to this store. Thank you so much for your time, assistance, care and amazing service!

Great associates and nice selection of natural, healthy dog and cat foods. This location gets 4 stars instead of 5 only because it is a very small store and therefore lacks small animal products. Would be 5 stars if they sold food and supplies for small mammals and pet birds.

Very friendly staff will approach you and guide you as you enter the store. Initially, I thought this was going to be annoying, but their recommendations came with some thoughtfulness and were backed up with good data, so I didn't feel it was a pushy sales pitch. One clerk recommended a new dry dog food (for my dogs!) to me and gave me a small bag as a free sample for them to try out. Turns out they do love it and we switched.This location also has a dog wash station, which can be handy after muddy dog outings.

My dog is 15 years old and has special dietary requirements. I've been cooking for him but now need to find a new protein source for him. The knowledgeable sales person took me to a new line of foods that are designed for pets like mine. I'm amazed at the variety of food products available and appreciate the competent help the staff offer. It's 5 stars for Pet Food Express.

The washing stations seem to never be 100%. Something is always not working. Also, annoyed the air dryer only blows cold air. According to the staff it’s because they’re concerned people will burn their dogs but every other place I’ve bathed mine they always blow warm air. Not sure why it’s an issue here. Staff and selection are great but I do not recommend the washing stations at all. I won’t be going back unfortunately.

Good place to wash your dog.everything you need with large basin and towels. Dog tolerated it.Bring untangler and whitening shampoo for bijon friese and white poodles. Dryer could be warmer as it takes longer to dry long hair dog

This has been my go-to place for many years, and I've always been very happy with their service. Food shopping for a cat with Inflammatory Bowel Disease can be very challenging. Novel meats, no grains, wet food has been the best route in our case, but IBD is a bit of a moving target. I've actually started tracking date/brands/flavors/physical response/likes&dislikes to monitor her diet and minimize my deliberating at the store.One of the best things about PFE is that they will refund you, if your pet didn't like the food you bought. All you have to do is bring in the labels and your receipt. Anyone who owns a pet with finicky tastebuds or sensitive digestive system should be able to appreciate this. I can't tell you how often I have had to get refunded, because my cat was unable to digest a particular new brand or flavor I tried.A few weeks ago I asked the manager if they had any sample sized bags of Stella & Chewy's dehydrated Duck Duck Goose. The bag cost $26, and it felt like a steep price to pay for something I wasn't sure my cat could digest. He told me that there were no smaller samples and reminded me of their refund policy. After I commented how much I've appreciated that policy since my cat has IBD, and I've returned countless of cans over the years, he said "One moment", walked over to the cat food section, grabbed the $26 bag off the shelf, rang it up at $0 and said, "Please let us know if this agrees with her." As it turns out, she really likes the food & has reacted well to it so far.I was still stunned when I came home from the store that day. It was truly a moment of exemplary customer service, deserving of a review, as they prioritized my cat's well-being without a moment's hesitation. Much appreciated.

Just rating the dog wash station. Probably the best wash station for pet food express in the bay area. Very clean and the equipment was working extremely well which is a rarity at some other locations.

Quick & easy in & out all due to staff who knows their stuff! My 17.5 yr old cat's losing weight & disinterested in food. I asked for the cat food. Less than a minute at the shelf, a staff came to help. I think his name is Sean (he has a mohawk that resembles AstroTurf:) & has similar age cats. Gave me recommendations based on experience & knowledge. As soon as the food was in the bowl, my cat ate like nobody's business. A true lifesaver.Ask them what you need & the staff with the knowledge will be there to help.

A very well stocked pet store. In the front window are several pet washing stalls. For those who enjoy watching their cars washed and have pets, this may be a great opportunity to enjoy a Starbucks?
