Amazing food at a good price! We stayed further up closer to Yosemite Valley (Cedar Lodge), so we have been dining at pretty much all places from Cedar Lodge and into the valley itself. Honestly, all food is terrible. However, we saw the reviews online for June Bug Café and decided to try their lunch menu.It. Was. Amazing. 😍The food is really good and you can tell they use high quality ingredients. The staff is having fun in the kitchen (which is always a good sign. Happy employees = better output). The place itself feels a bit remote at first, but it's honestly a short drive from the main road. Please check out this place, it's really, really good.Thank you June Bug for a great meal! 😁

Wow, amazing place!! Menu changes every day, chefs are obviously very passionate for the craft. Every dish me and my family tried from here is a smash hit!For dinner: my favorite dishes have been the steak, salmon with bell pepper sauce, and the mushroom wellington. The mushroom Wellington was my favorite. Very creative and super flavorful! Home made ranch for the salad 👌 sheeeshFor breakfast: the hashbrowns are SO GOOD! Perfectly crispy.Desserts: apple pie and cheesecake are not too sweet, very flavorfulInside is super cozy and has a beautiful view. You have to clean up after yourself and bring the dishes to the front, which is easy to do. They have a covered patio that is dog friendly and has heat lamps.10/10, love this placeVegetarian options: Delicious vegan and vegetarian options. Menu changes dailyDietary restrictions: Gluten free options, vegan options, vegetarian options, kids menuWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible, will have to enter thru the side door

Exceptional food for dinner. Such a gem which absolutely exceeded my hopes or expectations for food at random joint in the "middle of nowhere" . Best food of our entire trip (including San Francisco, Monterey, and Yosemite) and the prices were fair for what we received. That tofu bowl is one of the best meals I've ever had.Unfortunately breakfast the next day was very lackluster. After such a good meal the night before we were excited, but the French toast tasted strange, the sausages didn't seem fully cooked, and they didn't tell me they were out of avocado for my 4-ingredient California breakfast until I asked them about it after the food was delivered. I would have ordered something else if I had known they were out of the main purpose of such a meal.I still would absolutely go back for dinner. But not breakfast.

I did not come to Yosemite expecting good food, but I was pleasantly surprised to find it in this low key joint. Menu changes daily and the choices are never boring! Vegetarian and vegan options are always creative and they never feel like an afterthought that was slapped on the menu. The cabins at Yosemite Bug are just okay imo, but I've rebooked my stay here again and again bc I know I’m going to have a great meal at the end of an exhausting day.

Decent food option and value given the location - corn chowder soup was amazing. We chose to dine here as we were staying at the Bug Rustic Mountain Resort. There are good dinner options, including vegetarian and vegan food. It's also nice that each meal comes with soup or salad to start. There were decent drink options including beers from $5.The meals themselves were hearty portions but lacking in flavour. My flat bread specifically lacked taste - tasting mostly of zucchini. This isn't necessarily a bad thing but the food could have used some additional seasoning, sauces or a stronger tasting cheese than mozzarella.Service was simple but otherwise okay. You order at the counter, sit down and someone shouts out your number. Food is then brought to you.It is fantastic to have dinner options in an otherwise isolated location. We would have liked the quality of our dishes to be more consistent as the corn chowder set a very high standard for the meal to come.Don't hesitate to dine here as they change the menu regularly and there are no other options.

The service was not bad, but the food was an entirely different experience. I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. I came here for breakfast and the food lacked any flavor whatsoever and was incredibly bland. The fruit salad bowl was a disaster – the fruits were unripe and so sour it was almost inedible. To make matters worse, the water served tasted like it came from a dirty tap, and the ice was scooped from an uncovered bowl, leaving me with a drink that was both unappetizing and unsanitary. I definitely won't be returning.

Five star is not enough to describe great food they are serving. Stayed on property and we ate at this cafe every day ..breakfast and diner. We did not wanted to missed our dinners cause every day menu changed and new exciting dishes appeared. Service was very friendly and attentive, outside sitting so inviting. They have some wine selection but for small cook fee you can have your own wine. Great place will definitely try to come back.

I had the displeasure of dining at this sorry excuse for a diner. The breakfast was utterly forgettable and absurdly overpriced. The water tasted like it had been filtered through a sock, reminiscent of the questionable water on the Pirates ride at Disneyland. Finding the place on Apple Maps was like searching for a needle in a haystack. To top it all off, the food left me and my buddies feeling queasy, with a plastic-y taste lingering in our mouths, putting a damper on our day trip to Yosemite. Save your money and your stomach lining – steer clear of this establishment.

First off, the staff was kind enough to let us have breakfast 15 minutes after breakfast hour was over. With that said, this meal hurt my soul. The eggs tasted like it came out of an old Easy Bake oven where plastic flakes were melting off. The water tastes like it was scooped out of an over-chlorinated pool from a Quality Inn hotel. And the hashbrowns were like soggy wood chips fried in sadness. I’m not even going to describe the demonic ant-human head on the wall. Save yourself and eat in Yosemite.

10/13/2021-10/15/2021Recommend? Yes.I stayed at the Yosemite Bug Rustic Mountain Resort for a few days and I was honestly nervous at what I would be eating. I knew it was going to be in the middle of almost no where so I was prepared to eat apples and bananas for my entire stay. I was very much pleasantly surprised when I learned they offer actual vegan food and they even change out the offerings daily!I've had their breakfast burrito, cauliflower samosa, lasagna, pie, and trail lunch. Their portion sizes are HUGE, for me the food were easily two meals. My favorite was their lasagna. I don't even like lasagna that much and this was just so cheesy and loaded with all the good stuff. The garlic bread that accompanied the lasagna was perfection as well. You know how sometimes garlic bread is more of just butter and maybe some herbs, but this was LOADED with garlic. The trail lunch I wouldn't get again because you have to assemble it yourself which was a bit inconvenient for me while I was hiking. They also offer vegan sausage as a side which I take advantage of by getting it in the morning as a side to my leftover pie.

Lucky to have such a great place right next to our hotel. A bit pricey but totally worth it after a long day in Yosemite. Staff are very nice. My iron flat steak was perfectly cooked and purée & crunchy greens were delicious

Maybe other meals are better but the breakfast menu is pretty small and doesn't have all the items others have talked about in previous reviews. The service was great, but it seemed like they were running at a minimum to get by. Decaf coffee was prepared in a tea bag and the regular coffee was weak and seemed to be brewed in bulk. We came a bit of a way to try this place and felt that though it was okay, we would not go out of our way to come here.

This restaurant is amazing! The menu changes slightly every day so you have a variety of options to choose from. The dinner menu rotates from different varieties of steak, pork, chicken, fish, and sandwich. They also have vegetarian options and vegan options. The breakfast and lunch menu remains the same though. For dinner, I liked their fish dishes the most. I had salmon and rockfish, both times the fish was cooked perfectly. For breakfast I recommend the huevos rancheros or American breakfast. The hash browns are some of the best hash browns I've had! They're crispy and cooked to perfection.

We came here because it was the closest restaurant to where we were staying. Didn’t realize it was part of a hotel/camping place! The servings were large and priced accordingly. My husband and I split a dish and it was so delicious and homemade tasting in the best way. It filled us up in more ways than one!It was also sweet to see the dining area being used as a hang out spot for guests and enjoyed watching some little kids running around, and other people playing cards.

Cool and creative homestyle cooking in a charming woodside restaurant. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. The interior is homey/cozy. The food surprised us with fresh ingredients and creative and tasty combinations. Well above your average restaurant, and with very reasonable prices.

Amazing place if you want to have breakfast when you are on the way to Yosemite. It closes late, so you can dine after a hard hike in the National Park. Incredible food and very nice atmosphere. Good prices. 100% highly recommended. 10/10.

Their trail lunch is pretty good, it has a sandwich with good quality ingredients, some trail mix, a few cookies and an apple. It's maybe a little expensive for what it is but I didn't regret buying it. Note that the sandwich has to be assembled on the trail. This was a bit tricky but I managed without losing any ingredients to a nearby squirrel. I got the trail lunch a few times, my favorite one was the avocado hummas. It made for a very nice sandwich at the top of Yosemite Falls. The breakfast buffet is also pretty enjoyable. I had some granola, fruit and greek yogurt, plus scrambled eggs, hashbrown and some juice. Nothing too fancy but all tasty and a nice way to start the day before going out hiking.Lastly note that even though they are open until 10, they only serve dinner until 9. After that it's desserts only. I found this out the hard way after a long hike. (Their pies are very good but they are not a good substitute for an actual dinner haha.)

Awesome place for breakfast. Great lodge-type setting with a homely feeling. We stayed at the resort and went to breakfast everyday. Good food at slightly higher prices, but one would expect it given the remote location.

Got the flat iron steak and it was absolutely delicious. Both mine and my sisters were tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Mashed potato was on point, broccoli was crunchy, chimichurri was a killer complement to the steak. 10/10 would order again!I mean, look at these pics:

I paid $38(tax+tip included) for this huge steak. They are so kind and generous. It was enough to share 2 of us. I really enjoyed my dinner.
