Literally one of the coolest experiences when you first walk in. This place has such a positive energy around it and they treat their birds so well and all the items they sell are really nice quality. Birds n paradise will definitely be my go to place to take care of my birds! Highly recommend!

I took my bird here for boarding 3/26 to 3/31. They were allowing me to bring my own pellets, my bird's toys, and the employee was visibly invested in the well-being of the birds. I felt really good about finding this place!When dropping off, I realized 3/31 would be Easter and asked the employee if they would be open. I was told, "I am always here, I live on premise." I was reassured by her that I could come and pick up on Easter.When I came Sunday, they were closed. I called the store, and no one answered. So I called the cell phone number on the card I was given. Lori, the owner, answered. I explained the situation with hope that she would be able to get in contact with the employee who told me that she would be there. I thought maybe I had just missed her? I mean, someone had to come in that day to feed, water, and clean cages. Right? Instead, Lori started berating me for calling on Easter. She told me that I should KNOW they would be closed because they are always closed on holidays. I replied with, "How would I know when your own employee did not?" Lori started SCREAMING at me that I was incredibly rude and should be at home celebrating the resurrection with my family. She told me she would see me on Monday and then hung up on me.Well, Lori, I do not have any family left to celebrate with. So, thanks for that. My bird is my family. Also, my bird is an atheist. I'm not sure what resurrection you want us to celebrate? Lori's yelling crossed a line... it was psychotic-like. I worried about my bird all day Sunday. On Monday, I had someone else pick her up so I could avoid any possible confrontation. The yelling was THAT bad, and I was angry about how she handled it so aggressively.I was not going to post any reviews, but then I saw a facebook posting by the owner (I had followed her store when considering where to board my bird). I personally believe it's too much of a coincidence to not think her post was related to what had just happened. It's just a bit much and again demonstrates undesirable traits for a caretaker.The person I asked to pick up my bird told me that they saw on my contract 3/31 was crossed out, and next to it, someone wrote 4/1. That's not the contract I signed. That is very dishonest. I would hate to think of how a serious issue would be resolved. Plus, if they caught the holiday error ahead of time, why did they not call me? When I called them on Sunday, why didn't Lori explain the mixup and apologize. I would have been cool with coming back the next day.I may have caught the owner at the wrong time and suffered the consequences of her holiday stress. I really wanted to like this store. If I was guaranteed my interactions would be limited to the caring employee, I would reconsider trying again.

First time there with my 7 yr old daughter. I bought her a parakeet, her very first pet! Kathy, who handled the transaction, was fantastic! Great customer service skills and just simply pleasant to be around. However, the store owner came in with aggressive behaviors. She was yelling and cussing all around the store and in front of my daughter. She seemed stressed, so I gave her the benefit of the doubt. If it wasn't for Kathy, I would have taken my business somewhere else. Thanks, Kathy, for a great experience!

It was our, my wifey & I, first time stopping by at Birds N Paradise and we were thoroughly impressed. Lots of beautiful exotic parrots and all the necessary items for the parrots including on-site nursery. Because of all the parrots to admire and pet, I didn't have a chance to speak with any employee and/or owner of the local. But I did see a lady speaking with other customers, answering all their questions. Lord willing, we will definitely be returning in the near future and make a decision on which to purchase.

Love this store, we almost show up once a week because my son loves to go see them. We love Dory, even though she got my hand pretty good this last time I went. She was being so nice and sweet, I hope I didn’t do anything that pissed her off, or maybe she was testing to see how much pain I could take lol. Usually I’ve handled her and she is always nice, and looking for hard things on me that she can gnaw on! Although this time, I wasn’t hiding my hands under my sleeve so I don’t know if she was curious or something, or maybe wasn’t expecting the new company I brought that day. I know she didn’t bite with all her strength I’ve seen her break harder things. Maybe she was tired of me being in there 😂 But I’m no bird expert, trying to learn and hopefully get a bird from here in a near future when I am able to give it the life it deserves. A worker there then offered me a macadamia nut to give to Dory after she had gnawed at my hand lol Dory got it and she was fine (no bite that time). I tried not to overreact but naturally it still hurt, but of course handle these birds at your OWN RISK!!!! We’ve also seen the sun conures to be so friendly too! One pooped on my man’s hoodie after it tried climbing up onto his hat 🤣😂 Love all the birds, I try to gauge which ones want to be friendly and which ones don’t! I like to bring friends and family to share my liking of these birds lol

Absolutely love this place, bought a conure and an employee there is definitely my favorite, they are very welcoming the owner and the employee. I will absolutely come back, my conure is on layaway right now but I love that they take care of the birds. Will definitely recommend this place for anything bird related. I always love stopping by here to check up on my bird. 10/10.

I came in with my mom today and oh my gosh the birds are so cute and sweet. Everyone there was so kind and you could tell they really care for all the birds there. It’s such a welcoming environment! All the birds look so happy and healthy. Can’t wait to go back

I personally love this store I’ve been going here for about 3 years I think and the customer service is great I recommend coming here for food and maybe even grooming and getting wings clipped but they do hold the birds by the back in a towel so make sure you know if your bird’s comfortable with it before going I bought 2 other birds from her and they both died from completely unrelated reasons and it wasn’t the stores fault and both of the birds were amazing and you can bond with a bird before buying them the bird i bought them is in the photo and is named Brooklyn and she is amazing I still go here with my other bird chicken who I bought off of Craigslist but the girl who used to own chicken bought food from this store

For those reading negative reviews; I have been to this store about 15 times and never once has the staff or owner been rude to me. I come with my 10 year old and 5 year old and we never have been yelled at. Then again we are very experienced bird people and we know how to interact with them. If you tease the birds you better get booted out.They care for their birds and it shows. Are their birds are more important than customers? Maybe, but thats how it should be! My husband and I purchased our second bird from them yesterday. Our first was a sweet handfed love bird "Tango" who is my little shadow and is with me always, and our recent addition is a beautiful Nanday conure who I've been visiting the last couple months. The toys can be a bit pricey but they have such a fantastic selection and quality that you won't find it on Amazon. Both birds are very healthy upon purchase and we are excited to get to know "Reeses" the Nanday.

I have visited this place many times before and was reviewing some of the reviews and was a little disappointed in the things that people had to say. I have had nothing but good experiences with the staff and the owner of birds n Paradise. Yes I recommend calling ahead to be sure that the owner is there to do bird grooming because she is not always available but they usually have a good idea when she will be in and when she will not be in. The birds are all very well taken care of and the place is kept very clean. I would definitely recommend this place.Edit: they have updated the inside and it has a cool jungle feel. My bird loves their fresh food.

My husband and son and I went in just to see the beautiful birds but not to purchase, lol.The girls that work there were so friendly and knew all the personalities of each and every bird and how old they were and you could just see how they handled them with love and care and expertise. My favorite was this sweet big blue giant of a bird that just loved attention.

We’ve been to the store twice and learned new things both times. I watched the staff handle the birds effectively and took some mental notes on how to properly respond and behave around these amazing creatures. The store is well stocked with a variety of supplies/ cages. We have purchased a few items for our conure at home. When we feel knowledgeable enough and ready to give the time and love to another bird, Birds N Paradise will be the place we purchase from.

Great place to find a new, or maintain your current feathered friend. They have all the medium-large birds and supplies that Petco doesn't have (including a large selection of habitats). Full grooming of feathers, beak and toes for $15. Looking forward to their new sprouted and fresh parrot food options.

The staff and owners have been nothing but helpful and communicative every time my partner and I visit. We got our hand-reared Regent Parrot with all the proper certifications back in October, and she has settled into our family wonderfully. I still visit often to play with the other birds and to buy food and toys for our bird at home.

Love this place. Hard working staff & the set up is really cool. All the parrots are set up on custom floating perches that make it convenient to get a feel for their characters; you can even pick them up if you’re brave enough. I own an African Grey & he loves the food here! Just bought him a new perch here last week with some goodies

I LOVE the store n the helpful knowledge that they give about the birds. There was just this 1 lady who straight disrespectful n rude n seemed mad. Me n my mom went there to get our baby special needs birds to have their wings clipped. N they said they could groom them but we get there SHE said NO! N before we even had a chance to explain that they were disabled she grabs the cage n then yanked MY BIRDS RITE OUT OF THE CAGES!!!! N was clipping their wings so forcefully. N finally she critizied my bird. The store is great n have great customer service but DONT GO TO HAVE YOUR BIRD GROMED IT IS A TRAMTIC EXPERIENCE!!

I was there today for the first time since I always see it on my way home. I went to ask information about grooming.. the lady there (only employee I saw) was extremely rude not only to me but to my 12 year old nephew. She looked mad the minute we got there. If she doesn’t like her job then she shouldn’t be working there. Sorry but you lost a customer!

It's a family run business, a bit crowded, but the birds are so healthy and happy, you overlook the little stuff. Their prices seem steep, but you get what you pay for, and I've been told their prices are the best around for hand-raised birds. You can certainly tell the animals are loved and cherished! These are the happiest, friendliest birds I've ever seen in a pet store.
