Absolutely delicious!! My 10 year old daughter and I came here for lunch and both loved it!! The girls behind the counter, they were sweet and patient and had great suggestions for Anna. She ended up with a grilled cheese and an Italian soda. The space is relaxing, quiet and felt like home. The gluten free cookies are the best I’ve had! Can’t wait to come back.

The Local Cafe encourages you to stay as long as you want. There are couches, comfy chairs and corner nooks for privacy. You could meet a group of friends and play cards in the activity room. Or bring a book and enjoy a coffee or tea beverage. Even use their WiFi and get some work done in a relaxed environment. All the baked goods are heavenly. The croissant was flaky and melted in my mouth. Everything is fresh and delicious. The salad was light and flavorful. My sugar-free vanilla nonfat milk latte was smooth and creamy. This is a good coffee date spot. There isn't much to do if you want to prolong the date. I would recommend the cafe have events to keep the customers there longer. IG: SACRAMENTOHONEY

What an opportunity it was to stop by this local gem. I ordered the Tomato Bisque, Mushroom Tartine and a Moroccan Meyer Lemon tea. Everything was delicious, but the star was definitely the Mushroom Tartine. I was hesitant to order the Mushroom Tartine over the Avocado Tartine. I just knew I'd like the Avocado Tartine and while I like Mushrooms..it wasn't my first choice. I'm so glad I chose Mushroom.. It took about 10 minutes, but trust me it was worth every minute. The bread (by The Baker and Cake Maker) paired with the perfectly sauteed Mushrooms and oh my...topped with melty cheese. My words nor pictures will do it justice. The environment cozy and the service inviting and friendly. Trust me..swing by and try The Local Cafe.

A wonderful little cafe in a little town. Charm - certainly! But more importantly - a very kind staff. Ali leads a great team! They really try to go the extra mile for you when you've been a couple times.The food is great, and only getting better. The pastries are special! Their local salad knocked my socks off and their breakfast burrito is satisfying.

This is a MUST visit cafe and I frequent here often. Super friendly staff, amazing food and coffee. I was solo this time and all customers were chatting away with me. I haven't gotten through the entire menu but everything is delicious. The Avocado Toast my go to but also the breakfast burrito, breakfast sandwich and lunch sandwiches are awesome as well! Highly recommend!!!!Dietary restrictions: Many options if dietary restrictions and they will make to order if needed!Kid-friendliness: Everyone is welcome here!

So much fun last night singing Christmas carols, drinking delicious mulled wine, and eating scrumptious desserts. Wonderful conversations with neighbors and musicians. I have lived in Meadow Vista nearly 35 years and am so grateful to have such a much wonderful café in our little town. Happy holidays.

Wow! Worth a drive if you're not 'local'. Food so unique and fresh, place is super clean and the patio is the perfect lunch spot. Service is friendly and helpful.

Very good pastries! Friendly help and inviting interior. I didn't have coffee this time, but it smelled delicious. I'll go again early next time and try it. On the pricey side, but you're getting a high quality product from a talented pastry chef. Sure to impress.

The Local Cafe is my favorite cafe of all time. They have the BEST iced almond milk latte I've ever had, and their food is excellent. Try the frittata - it's a must! The inside is well decorated and cozy with lots of seating. Can't recommend The Local enough!!

Any food item you order is going to please.Good place to meet with friends.Parking: Parking can be a challenge at times because of the restaurant’s popularity.Wheelchair accessibility: Very accessable for anyone with mobility limitations.

Best pastries we have had on 3 continents. Not even kidding. I'm not sure how that pastry chef wound up just a couple miles down the road by my goodness it's nice to have a world class bakery right there. The internet is fast, the staff lovely and the coffee is decent. But the hazelnut pastries.....nuff said.

I’ve been a few times already and have loved what I’ve ordered - great coffee and food hits the spot. Nice comfy feel inside and beautiful on the patio when the weather is nice. Friendly staff too! Looking forward to having this as an option in the area.
