This place is great and everyone here is super informational! Special Shout out to BRE!!! She helped us set up our two new ball python thanks showed us some afresh things around the store and was able to reference to recourses from her personal collection of animal information! I LOVED THAT !!! I hope she decides to own her own Petco franchise one day!!

I like this Petco it's okay the way stocks things could be better. The way the display some of the nicer items I was better. People are nice. Except for the dog trainer I don't think he's very bright at all. Not at all. Other than that I like the place and they might have a different dog trainer by now

The Petco in Martinez is my favorite one in the area! Everyone who works there is so helpful and friendly. There is a great selection of products, which always pleasantly surprises me because the store is smaller than the nearby Concord Petco.

Customer service was excellent. Prices were a bit high but that is the world we live in.The 2 or 3 emails I javelin been getting everyday since I visited are very annoying. I will be avoiding going back to Petco if I am getting spammed to death after each trip.

Not staffed sufficiently. One employee was dancing to music through earbuds and didn't see myself or another customer standing in line.I asked someone else for something specific but it was clear after I went to the location she suggested she doesn't know the stores product or maybe just this particular product line.This was my second time here and my previous experience is what brought me back.

I was able to find my products fine, but check out was a little much. While the clerk was trying to be helpful, her advice was not solicited. She went through each product I was buying for my rabbit and telling us the health benefits, or non benefits of the items. She was also telling us how at Concord Feed the prices are way better and that what we were buying from Petco wasn't especially healthy for our rabbit, she didn't like the brand we were buying and that the prices were too expensive and that we should be buying from Concord Feed and buy healthier options for our pet. It was misplaced help and off putting.

This review is for the pet training we have done at this location with Nicki J.. We signed up for a private lesson 6-pack for our 6mo+ old puppy. We are really glad we did private lessons vs. group. Nicki is an experienced positive dog trainer that focuses on rewarding good behavior instead of punishing. Our puppy has been so receptive to her training and she has been so helpful in training us on what to not do and do. Her patience and consistent training has really given our Lola pups an excellent foundation in her beginning obedience training and has even made her more receptive to new training. If you have any questions beforehand too, she's happy to address what type of training is right for your dog, group, or private and has been completely flexible when we have had to reschedule a few times now. She is fun to work with, explains everything very clearly, and has so much knowledge to share with you. We enjoy every session we have with her and always have amazing strides each week with our puppy. She's done wonders for our shelter dog with lots of confidence issues. We def will be signing up for more sessions and highly recommend working with Nicki J for your training sessions.

Time for cat food and betta food. Had my pick between 5 Different types of food for the fish. They sell live food...I was able to get live earthworms for the box turtles too. Nice staff.

We adopted the most sweetest low maintenance , friendliest cat named Clementine from Marla of Safe Cat Foundation here at Petco. However we are absolutely devastated that we werent able to keep her due to extreme allergies of others in our home. We are thankful to Marla for her genuine concern for her cats and accepting Clementine back. We are so grateful for the level of care shown from the team here and the love given to Clementine specially from Kirsten! Although we are heartbroken from parting ways from Clementine, it is comforting to know she is back with her son in a familiar loving environment. We are confident Marla will match her with a deserving family

Today I had a great experience. I am not a fan of Petco or supporting them because of how they treat their animals but the staff here are really nice and educated. Today Abraham was super helpful with me getting my fish set up. I was very surprised with the extent his knowledge/ kindness and then Bre was super informed about a lot as well.One time I also had to rush to get a thermometer and hydrometer for my chameleon with two minutes to closing and they let me grab what I needed. THANK YOU PETCO MARTINEZ STAFF!!!!!

I had two bags of cat food I had previously purchased. I asked if I could exchange them without a receipt for the same brand but, different flavor/mixture. We had purchased the wrong stuff and my cats were NOT having it! So, I asked to exchange it. They happily accepted it. I ended up leaving that day with even more food & accessories than the value of my original purchase. Helpful & considerate staff.

The only reason why I give this a one star is because that's the lowest rating you can give. I chose the store because I get off work at 6:00 they are supposed to be closing at 8:00 my cat has fleas and I had to wait till payday to get her medicine it is payday I had a curbside pickup for tonight. For some reason this location is closed the young man who answered the phone was very nice and asked his manager is it okay if he just went and got my order and the manager said no. I am canceling my order here and I'm going to go to PetSmart where they are open and accommodate their customers and don't close for no reason whatsoever and still have employees inside. I'm very disappointed in this I am very upset about this. And if they're going to close early they should post it online.

Great store. Everyone was nice. I did ask a question about lighting for reptiles and the young lady said she was not too sure, but she was gonna read up on it for next time. I googled my question and all was good.

The staff here bends over backwards to make your visit and enjoyable experience, literally, they hire contortionists. I asked for directions to the pet beds and a staff member cartwheeled all the way down the aisle to the location finishing in a triple flip... Never been so impressed by the service in my life

First time there. Saw stairs to go down , no ramp. I got 2 beef only wet food for my friends. I lost my cart . When I asked while I was checking out, I found out the have a ramp, by it wasn't visible. I will give them props for being the only pet store that has beef wet food for dogs that is all beef and has no fowl products in it. Doggie highly allergic to fowl.
