Although we just lodged for one night, the amenities were excellent! The beds were comfortable and cozy. The rooms were clean and stocked well with what one might need. We had a very restful evening. It was nice and quiet and everyone was very friendly and helpful. We were right in the middle of this little town Mariposa šŸ¦‹, we’re we took a stroll down the main avenue and were able to find friendly people, nice little shops and places to eat.

Very pleasantly surprised! The Lodge is rated as a 2 star but we found it very comfortable with no noise. We were in town the same weekend as the hotrods and having spent motorsport weekends in motels, I feared the worst! Staff were friendly and we even saw a phone with a curly cord that we were able to explain to our daughter what it was. ā˜Žļø

A simple but solid stay when you're visiting the Yosemite national park. In high season leave at 7 am. Be ready to drive 45 min to El Portal entry gate.Rooms are outdated but fine. Beds are disappointing. They are either hammock beds or just worn out. The pool is useful to cool down during high temperatures. Plenty of restaurants, food trucks and the Pioneer grocery store is near.

This place is noisy as hell. The floors are elevated and you can hear every step from your neighbors. We had a family with kid next to us and could hear them bounding around their room all night. The facilities are in great need of updating. The bed was very soft and lumpy. The towels and sheets were course and uncomfortable. It looks like nothing in the room has changed in 20-30 years. The shower was tiny and the water temperature ranged from hot to scorching, which was not ideal after a day in 100+ degree heat. They also advertise ā€œdog friendlyā€, but just because they allow dogs does not mean that they are friendly towards dogs. There are no pet facilities for urination or defecation. We couldn’t find any grass or turf on the property. Their ā€œpet agreementā€ also threatens you with a $1000 fine for pets left in the room alone, whether in a crate or not.The biggest issue is definitely the noise. I assume this is a common issue, as there were earplugs left on the nightstands, but these do nothing for the footfalls you can feel on all sides while trying to sleep.

Pros:- decent property in Mariposa- about an hour drive from the Yosemite National Park- courteous staffCons:- just another highway lodge, nothing too special for the nightly room price paid. Consider the price paid just for being within 1h drive of YNP- rooms clean but dated- carpet was old/ dirty- absolutely not flexible with even a 30min late checkout despite us requesting and plenty of vacant rooms on a weekday. Thankfully we were able to checkout before the actual checkout time

We booked here 1 week in advance for 2 nights to visit Yosemite NP. We were 1 hr & 10 minutes from the park Visitor Center. We picked this motel based on available, cost, & proximity to the park. Restaurants & coffee shop were nearby, walking distance. Room had 2 queens, roomy & clean. Had a mini fridge & microwave plus a single cup coffee maker. We denied daily cleaning service since it was only for 2 nights. No frills, just a good place for overnight lodging. TV had many DirectTV channels, but we didn’t use much. Check in is 3 pm. We had to wait until 3, although we got there 2:35 pm. No big deal.

To put this succicently, this is definitely a motel. Small pool, smaller hot tub, basic rooms. The place is older and has some very retro architecture. It's affordable, comfortable, and easy to get too (right off the highway, literally). So why do you want to get a room at an "average" place? This place takes me to the late 90's. The burger joint down the street serves early morning breakfasts under a classic diner sign, and the (terrific) bar down the block delivers pizza until 1am. Yosemite Valley is within spitting distance, the mountains are beautiful, and it's a peaceful mountain valley. He rooms are pretty big, with room for you to haul in your hiking gear and clean it. And it's as cheap as a place significantly worse off in a city.Don't come here expecting a glitzy, 5-star hotel with hot breakfast and HBO. You talk to an actual clerk at the front desk, pick up your stamped room key, and find your own parking spot. But you step into a piece of American history, not a hokey tourist trap. This place is a memory and a movie all in one, and the attraction isn't on television, but out the window and down the block. Come here to experience Mariposa, not to hide away from it.All in all it's a quaint, affordable, and thoroughly enjoyable piece of late-century life frozen in time, outside of a world famous natural park. Why aren't you booking your room yet?

Great place near restaurants, shops and all needed stores. The room was really nice. As a negative point, the sound insulation was not good. The pool seemed OK, but due to the chilly weather we did not used it.Overall a great place to visit Yosemite national park (just 1 hour from both entry gates), and chill after strenuous hikes.

Room was clean and staff was very responsive and answered several questions promptly prior to our arrival. They even sent out information regarding reservations to Yosemite to inform its guests about changes. While it didn’t effect our trip it would have been close. Very close to several places to eat and small shops. It’s close proximity to Yosemite, especially for the price, was great. Had a small pool which my son enjoyed. I felt very safe in the area. I would recommend to others.

The rooms were amazingly clean, clean towels shampoo conditioner lotion was provided, very helpful and professional staff at the check-in desk. The lady at the desk walked us through stores and places to visit in the area and provided us a map which was great. I was in need of an auto shop on a Sunday evening but unfortunately had to wait till Monday morning. This place exceeded our expectations, I'm going to stay again next time I'm visiting Yosemite.

We lodged here because it is dog friendly and we were able to book it super last minute at a decent price considering the location is next to the food mart, fast food stops, and a scenic drive to Yosemite. They are understaffed though and do not offer room service due to the pandemic. The bath tub was also filthy when we first checked in, but the cleaner came in with a spray bottle to clean it when we let them know. We left our dirty towels and trash out in the morning for them to pick up, and when we came back at night the towels were gone but the trash was still there. We also had to go to the lobby to pick up clean towels, soap, etc. which wasn't pleasant when we had to carry the clean towels in the rain. The walls are thin, so we heard our next door neighbors children's screams, footsteps, and door slams. No mold or bad smells though which is always appreciated. The rooms are spacious. Overall, decent for the price and the problems we had were very minor because we still had a great time at Yosemite with a warm room to get back to after a snowy day. Our dog is grateful to be included too.

We liked it. It’s clean. Very nice and friendly staffs, 24/7 front desk. There is a pool. Has a decent view of mountains on a clear day. There are not many options for food nearby. The happy burger diner is the closest to this hotel that is popular in this area. They have good food.

Although some of the items we're outdated, it worked out for what I needed it. The most important part of any of hotel I stay at are the beds and the beds we're very clean and comfortable. The pillows we're fluffy and the sheets are clean.I also look for how cleaners do a great job when setting up the beds. Pillows are aligned nicely and facing the entrance begging to be laid on. Towels are set up well also and clean. Amenities we're organized. Overall cleaners did a good job.Parking is very convenient to move luggage on the first floor. I also appreciated all the locks. It made me feel safer in an unfamiliar environment. The microwave, coffee maker and fridge are great additions. Lastly the lady that checked me in was accomodating when I locked my self out. Easy check in and out process.Of all the hotels I passed by, the entrance and cleanliness looked welcoming. Overall it made me feel at home.

Little gem in the center of town. Perfect place to relax after visiting all the amazing places this little town has to offer. Close to absolutely everything in town. Friendly employees, supplied with toiletries, coffee, hair dryer, cable TV and wi-fi. The price can not be beat and they are pet friendly. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed

We stayed at the Mariposa Lodge, February 14th, on our way to Yosemite. Unloaded our car, ate dinner and settled in but once in bed noticed cockroaches!!!! Called the office, the offered to change rooms, my response was if this room has them so do the others. They offered for us to change hotels but at 10:30 at night we said no. We were told they would give us a discount…..that has not happened. I just think locals and travelers should know they have cockroaches at the Mariposa Lodge.

Such a cute place! We were just there this springtime and their flowers are in bloom, so pretty and quaint. The beds were super comfortable and it was nice and clean in the room. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. It's right on highway140 so it's close to pretty much everything in town. It's about an hour's drive to the north entrance of Yosemite. I would definitely return. Thanks Mariposa Lodge!

Cool place to stay during your visit to Yosemite. It's 1 hour by driving to the park, but the road is good and have a great scenery.Mariposa town is a great town, cozy and you'll think you're in a movie.Mariposa Lodge hotel, is flat hotel with side by side rooms, where you can park you car in front your room. It's not a 5 star hotel, but staff is friendly, maybe a little busy than you expected for this hotel size. The rooms are big, little old and the common you expect in mountain hotel. Is correct, fair enough for us. In my opinion I will remove the carpet (I'll remove for all the hotels, please. It's gross) Also you have a quite big refrigerator, for a hotel standard, microwave, big TV (55"), table to eat and hot bathroom (please, if you can follow my suggestion... Change those lamps because they generate a lot of useless hot condition).Negative points to improve:- Due to location is what it is, is super hot room because the sun is loading all the time, all rooms. Improve you AC system, and improve as well cooling in the bathroom (or remove those ball lamps that heat as hell)- Remove notes from old Covid rules. We believed that your housekeeping service will not acess to the rooms, so we don't manage well one day and they can't do their job well.Cool points:- Great an quiet place, plenty of free parking.- Cool pool, small bur enough for refreshing- The Hummingbirds!! They have in the place outside and are amazingWe've stayed in the142 room.

Honestly it was okay. 2.5 stars if possible. I didn’t appreciate feeling like my ESA dog was an issue. Even after telling them I’d provide LEGIT paperwork they still seemed disproving. Their pet fee is high and their rooms are mediocre. They’re kind of smelly (room 108 smells like pee) and not super clean. The bathroom door in 109 doesn’t even shut properly and I had to have help out of it on a few occasions. The tv also doesn’t work at times and you have shotty signal (wifi is ok but slow) so after a long day in Yosemite can’t guarantee you’ll be able to relax and watch something. So… it’s a little too expensive for what it is and pet fee is outrageous for an unclean hotel (50$/night). But Mya, the person we saw at the front desk, was a delight. She is very kind and nice. She was personable and didn’t judge us at all.

Location 5, an hour of Yosemite park.Cozy and clean, just what we needed after a long day at the road from SF and half day at the park. The women at the reception was nice and a little unprofessional (we book just one night, so our experience it’s partial). The water pressure could be stronger for the showers.

The room was good and clean. The pool was dirty and didn’t feel comfortable getting into. Then I checked out and noticed a duplicate charge on my account from this hotel. I was told to email the supervisor because the front person couldn’t find me in the system. I understand this person is new but being new means you try to find the problem and resolve it for the customers not referring to someone that isn’t there and can’t resolve the issue. I emailed the supervisor and we shall see when they decide to grace me with email to clear up my problem. The lack of care in customer service here is lacking significantly in my opinion other than that it’s a nice and convenient place to stay.
