Utter and complete dump. It’s disgusting. He has “resident” people that live here making a ton of noise. Beds are hard as a rock. There’s stains all over the carpet floors, the rooms are gross. No water pressure. everything inside the room is absolutely filthy. The five star ratings must be fake reviews. I promise you this place is a dump. Desk worker was rather rude. Not nearly worth the price he charged. I stay in about 150+ hotels a year. I don’t think I’ve EVER seen a hotel this disgusting.

A+I will stay here everytime I'm in the area!We had reservations to check in at 3 PM. Due to unexpected mechanical issues with vehicle. We were going to be arriving extremely late. After midnight and closer to 2 AM at best. Which was more than 8 hours later than our planned time to check in. Not to mention that would also be at least 2 hours into the following day and they happened to be booked almost to capacity due to a big event! What made it worse. Is that I was unable to get a call out to Motel 8 in order to be able to notify them of our situation and 2 AM eta until approximately 11:15 PM... Bracing for the worst and fully expecting that our room was no longer going to be held for us when I was finally able to call the Motel 8 front desk. I was extremely thrilled to speak with the night manager who is also the owner. He was in very good spirit from the get-go! He was completely understanding and reassuring. He expressed to me that I need not rush and cautioned me to have a safe journey and that I need not worry about a thing concerning our reservation or our stay. When we finally arrived. He was there waiting and pleased to see we made it w/o any more troubles. He got us signed in quickly so we could get to our room and get some sleep. The room was very cozy, quiet, comfortable and clean. There was free WiFi & A Nice Flat Screen TV with Free Cable. A VERY COMFORTABLE KING SIZE BED AND PILLOWS! A Microwave Oven & Refrigerator. It was pretty cool temp outside but the quiet heater warmed the room quickly. There were plenty of towels and We were able to enjoy hot long revitalizing showers after a great refreshing sleep! There were vending machines on the premises for snacks and drinks and 50 feet from the motel was a terrific Shell Gas Station/Mini Mart with a short order grill inside...

From the manager to the room, the entire experience is horrible. Traveling for work, room was prepaid, still charged my card for the full stay after he assured me it wouldn’t be charged. I was a hotel employee for 5 years, so it’s only natural I do a room inspection. Non smoking room, reeked of smoke. A/C filter was unacceptable. Shower and toilet was dirty with stains that I had to clean myself. You couldn’t pay me to stay here again.

So ya have to wonder. Some people talk about "the bathroom was so dirty we couldn't use it" to "woke up with bug bites all over my legs and feet." In yet other people talk about how "it's the cleanest place I ever stayed" to "wonderful experience!" Such divergent experiences in the same place. Are some people too sensitive? Others used to so much worse(like staying in hovels in Somalia?). I can't wait to visit to judge for myself!

Checked into this motel for the week during a work trip. Very affordable and front desk staff are nice and welcoming. Hotel seems really vacant it's kind of in the middle of no where which isnt bad it's very quiet. The room was nice got a king bed in room 220. Clean bed and bathroom only issue was there was a used towel hanging on the shower rod. The room also had an old cloth couch which you couldn't pay me to sit on. Other then that I'd recommend this place to everyone. Has a pool which I didnt use and its located literally across the street from Shell gas station and Subway so very convenient.

I stayed here for a quick overnight trip. I thought, small motel, good rates and ok reviews.......Ummmmm, never again. Non-smoking room smelled heavily of cigarettes. I had to open the door, window and blast the air to freshen up the room. The bathroom smelled heavily of urine! Im, hello, can I get some bleach in here please! The comforters on both bed seemed to have never been washed 😷🤮. The air conditioner was the best feature. Small town with nothing much to offer. Next time I will plan to stay in Taft and spend the few extra $$$'s. You have been warned, enjoy your stay if you dare!!!

Clean rooms very polite staff. Not much to do in the area but if you find yourself unlucky to be around the Taft Maricopa area I would suggest this place. Better prices then the rest and cleaner then most of the others.

Friendly and clean. The manager is very accommodating. Street noise can be a little loud but not bad. I always stay here when visiting my kids. Staying again this week.

Fridge & microwave in the room. No pets. I arrived in the early morning hours, housekeeping woke me up around 7am to clean the room. The room was nice, comfortable. I'm still not happy about being woke up.

Small Town between the central CA valley and the Southern can Beaches. Reasonable price. Clean and friendly staff. They let us check in hours early with out no extra charges.

I stayed at the motel 8 motel over the president's day weekend while searching for homes in the area and found the motel very clean with excellent amenities, and wonderful front desk courtesy from the manager upon check in! I highly recommend this motel for a quiet night and very comfortable rooms for the price.

This place is pretty okay the rooms are okay the bathrooms okay everything's fine there's a pool and then you can walk across the street and go to the Shell if you wanted to.

Got stuck in Maricopa for the night. Thankful the innkeeper didn't hassle us. The room wasn't very well kept. The only place to eat was the gas station across the street.

Usually in the middle of the night in the very small town i live in its the only place to go and get a soda.they have a soda machine and they are the coldest cokes ever .i give motel 8 a 5 star rating because they make it possible to cure that soda craving we all come to know of
