I am a Vons member and shopper at home. Going on 70 years old. I worked 27 hard years for one company and 17 years at the last prior to retiring. There was no checkout open but Express 15 or less and self check which would be hard for me. I asked a nice male worker if I could get help and he said sure go to Andrea I believe he said was her name even though her light was not on and speaking to a manager. She immediately gave me a really dirty look. I explained that I was sent to her to help me. I didn't see a name badge either. Anyway. I do not deserve dirty looks from Vons employees. She finally changed her demeanor after I called her out loud for giving me dirty looks, I'm a very loyal customer that already put my time in working too. Never would I treat someone like this let alone a customer.

Interesting store. Was able to locate every item I was in search of. Rather pricey but has a lot of choices nonetheless. Purchased a water jug and it did everything it was supposed to do. May return when I run out. We will see

You’ll find a stunning view of the snowy mountain range behind this Vons at golden hour. Easily the most breathtaking views at a grocery store I’ve personally encountered in my life. The store itself complements the view with a fully stocked selection of the finest goldfish and frozen pizzas to keep your snack attacks and dinners easy for your snowboarding trip with the boys.

Thanks to the hard working people at Vons in Mammoth!! This a very challenging environment and being the main source of our food and supplies, we all rely on them!! Everyone is always so kind and caring about their customers and neighbors!! Thanks guys! Shout out Bonnie, working for us, while fighting her own personal battle!!

Vons is by far the best grocery store in town. Not only rich in all the food you need, but Vons also has gifts certificates, toys, office supplies, books and tons more. Would definitely recommend for anyone in need of anything.

Generally a pretty good Vons with better than average selection of products. But with tons of visitors having a mountain vacation in the age of Covid, crazy busy and a little too crowded for my taste.Masks required but no enforcement of distancing. And a lot of people on vacation don’t seem too concerned about distancing or wearing their masks over their noses. They do provide sanitizer for carts. You can use your own bags as long as you bag your own groceries.

I mean 350 bucks for 4 bags. See photo is a lot but I guess I am on vacation. Selection was good. I wish I tried one of the others first. This was wicked expensive.

The VONS in town is a well stocked market. It is clean and easy to navigate, since the majority of the customers are from out of town and not familiar with the layout of the market. I was especially intrigued with the floral department, since I did not equate flowers with the rough turraine of the mountain. Very well stocked with a variety of flowers and plants. The deli had a nice variety of choices, the produce was fresh, the meats were fresh and the shelves were well stocked. The check out lanes were quick, and the bag person offers to help you to your vehicle. Very nice.

As far as Vons go the Mammoth Lakes outpost is very nice. Always well stocked, clean and convenient.

Great place to get food however you should try avoiding the old unhappy grouchy lady at self checkout. All the other workers seem to be pretty cool.

By far, THE WORST VONS in THE UNITED STATES! Their "3's a Crowd" policy is b.s.! Extremely crowded store with only a few checkout lines open. I was there January 29 and there were over 18 people in each line. Not kidding. Open all your lanes and for once, honor your fake "3's a Crowd" policy. Very slow checkers, some employees rude! Dangerous snow they didn't bother to clear off their roof

Vons, high priced compared to other stores. Their digital deals are very problematic. Many times after clicking their digital coupons were not applied. . And the staff can be a holes when telling them about it. Sorta crooked store. Had one time none of the discounts were applied, and the cashier said too bad and refused to void and retry transaction. Had to argue until manager came and voided the transaction. When new transaction done, was 15$ less for the 10 items. I dislike giving any business to this store, but sometimes have to.

Probably the most over priced grocery in a resort area I've ever seen. Selections are decent but the meat dept lacks a lot to say the least, very few choices.As far as going in the mornings better have 15 minutes to burn. Always understaffed at check out. Mostly forestry guys and construction workers grabbing their lunch box supplies. Dont aee why self checkout isnt open early. Always 10 or more people in line for 1 cashier

Very clean, attractive and well-organized, with very reasonable prices, especially with their discount card which you can enroll in with only your phone number. Much nicer experience and less expensive than advertised local discount grocery stores. Very good selection.

My wife and I went to the Starbucks at this Vons on the morning of 8/27/23 and my father stayed in the car with our toddler. The wait at the Starbucks was extremely long so my wife asked me to go back to the car to help keep my son entertained. I decided to move our vehicle to the loading zone immediately in front of the storefront so my wife who is in the third trimester of pregnancy wouldn’t have to walk far. Soon after an obese vons employee with a mullet walked in and complained aloud that someone was parked in the fire lane. My wife pointed out that her car was not in a fire lane but a clearly marked loading zone and told them that her husband was waiting for her in the car and this troll of a vons employee then told my wife she was entitled and privileged. I absolutely cannot believe that Vons would allow an employee, In uniform, on site to talk so disrespectfully to any customer, let alone a customer who is very clearly pregnant.

Excellent market, fully stocked, clean, organized. Just a little bit better than your average Vons. Pricing seemed about the same as metropolitan areas Vons. The parking lot was a bit icy so I suggest taking a cart back to your car vs. trying to hand carry it all.

Busy Sunday before a storm so quite crowded and somewhat long lines. Out of stock of water and other storm items, but pretty good selection of everything else you'd want. Produce was a stand out.

Literally the only game in town for much of the quality deli, fresh fruits & veggies plus their stock is usually ok, but don't be there at 5pm fri sat sun.. or most of the week for that matter.. shop latter or earlier.. but yup it's Vons and from what I've heard it's the most expensive in CA.. but coming from Hermosa Beach these prices aren't a ton higher.. some are but most arent

I was cooking for everyone and headed to Vons. Despite snow outside, the place was clean and dry. I was disappointed that the only truffle oil that I could find was less than half an ounce. Why bother? produce was fresh and I found most everything I needed.

Our family purchased curbside everyday during ski week. Service was excellent and prompt. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of their meat. We purchased 9 lbs of short ribs for a dinner party. They were great! Vegetables were fresh. All items were available for pick up.

Maybe it's the time of day that's the issue here, but the crew that works overnight/opening could be a bit friendlier.They are not very approachable, and always seem to have an air of being unconvinced about them when you ask them to ring you up.The usual wait time for a cashier at 5am is somewhere between 10 and 15 minutes, if they bother to acknowledge you at all.

This is an awesome store for all your grocery needs. It can get pretty crowded in the afternoons and there are no self-checkout stations. This can make the checkout process longer than usual so keep that in mind if you're in a hurry. The store has a good selection of a wide range of products but things can get out of stock pretty quickly.

Our experience would have been great, had it not been for Bonnie, aka...Karen. We went into the express lane, keep in mind, NO OTHER CUSTOMERS BEHIND US. We had over 15 items but two transactions. All of a sudden, BONNIE KAREN starts raising her voice at us for being in the express lane. REMEMBER, there were no customers behind us. She started to throw our things into bags...LITERALLY throwing our things, smashing our bread. We finally asked her to take it easy and said "no need for you to throw our things and give us this attitude." She said "when people do things like this, they'll get an attitude from me." Now there were two other customers behind us. So we gave her a piece of our mind and spoke to the manager. Manager was nice and assured us BONNIE KAREN would be spoken to. We love Mammoth. We have been to this Vons plenty of times without ever having issues. Except for BONNIE KAREN, all of their staff are very friendly. So beware, this Vons employs a cashier who will go rogue to prove a point. God forbid you are behind the person she is targeting.
