DIY masters!! I came in to try to fix a sliding closet door mechanism that was too short for the door opening. David went above and beyond to help me find a way to extend the mechanism without completely replacing it. $5 total and the door now fits perfectly. Thank you so so much for thinking outside the box and finding a way to help without it costing a small fortune!

This is my go-to home improvement store when I'm in the June Lake area. Mixed me up some paint today.... Jackie did a great job! I needed a RCA to 1/8 inch audio jack to link my old school computer to my stereo, they had it! These guys have everything you might need including 2 kitties you can pet!

Pretty well stocked hardware store. Here working with the forestry service and was actually surprised to find what i needed tbh. Some things are kinda hit ir miss but not like its close to some large dist. center. Where they get 2 3 deliveries a week.

If you need it check here.. They have so many different products..Haven't been disappointed yet..Prices are not horrible but they are high - they are the only game in town for 90% of the stuff and you are in Mammoth, way away from the metropolis'

There are two home improvement stores in Mammoth. The DYI center tends to be the best. The staff are well trained and the selection is decent.

Meh. Usually out of really obvious things. Not well stocked. Very seasonal. You won't find summer items until the height of the summer for example. You won't find it in June, and they will be all out in August. Shop in Bishop.Hours are awful (5pm in the summer??) and some of the workers absolutely do not want to help at all. "How much is a garden cart? There is no tag." Response: " Oh I don't know, $40, $60 something like that." I just walked out.

Their customer service is pretty bad. I don't ask for anything other than common courtesy. You can't even get that. Some people are helpful, but the vast majority are just rude. Believe me when I say, I only go there if I absolutely have to.

They do carry tire chains and an employee was very helpful in confirming the size we needed. Excellent customer service!

Bad customer service. I went up to a employee for help. She was chatting with a friend. I waited patiently and she looked at me. I started to ask for help and she walked away about 10 ft then continued visiting her friend. Another customer ended up helping me.

Good store, great hours serving the community. Has most things needed for home repair and projects. People are very helpful and kind. Sometimes you need to go to HCL for something more specific or certain grade, to note: HCL hours are more constrictive so plan accordingly. Over all the store is a great service, well kept, with good people. They can also do custom orders for you. They have tools, hardware, house hold goods for DIY projects, seasonal items, a key center, paint center, garden area. Way in the back there is chain and electric wire, on the opposite side is pipe, lumber etc. If you need lumber HCL by the hospital will have a lot more lumber/building materials.

Perhaps the rudest cashier staff I have ever seen in a retail store. They appear incredible disinterested in customers. I suspect this is a failure of store management as the cashiers are so obviously resentful of being bothered when you approach them that any manager would see this immediately if they paid attention. Dymitry in particular should be fired immediately. When I was there today he was outright rude and disrespectful when their card reader failed to read my chip on my credit card. This is a regular occurrence at this DIY store. In the past the cashier would take the card and enter the #. When I went to hand the card to Dymitry he looked at me and barked "What am I supposed to do with that". When I told him the card reader was still broken and he needed to enter the # manually he replied rudely "I'm not doing that! You enter it on the reader." I eventually saw that there is a button on the machine that you hit and can enter the card # manually. I own several retail stores and if any of my employees spoke to a customer in the manner Dymitry did (Mammoth Lakes DIY Home Center) that employee would be terminated on the spot. I plan on using High Country Lumber in Mammoth as much as possible going forward.

Surprisingly good hardware store. I was looking for a Home Depot or Lowe's but there's none in the area. Then I checked this local store and I was able to find all items I was looking for.

Stay away from this store!!! We purchased a generator for our RV from them. NEVER WORKED they refused refund, refused exchange, refused replacement!!! They showed us their policy" NO REFUNDS, NO EXCHANGES, NO REPLACEMENTS " NOW WE ARE STUCK WITH A GENERATOR THAT NEVER WORKED!!!STAY. AWAY!!!

The DIY Center in Mammoth Lakes is an absolute necessity. Every time I go in there, while they are very busy at times, I can always find somebody to help me. This small town is Central hub I hope never goes away.
