This place deserves 10 stars! It’s a blizzard out here, everything is shut down, and they insisted on delivering our cupcakes so we didn’t drive in the conditions. On top of that, the cupcakes are AMAZING; great design, taste, and texture. We had the carrot cake, chocolate peanut butter, and vanilla birthday cake. You can’t go wrong with this Dessertd Bake Shop.

Delicious cake! We ordered a small cake for a family gathering. Initially my text was not responded to, but when I called I was able to place my order over the phone. It was ready on time, packaged well, and accurate to the order. This will be our go to for any special occasion desserts in Mammoth.

Had the chocolate brownie, and salted caramel, chocolate cookie square; $4 each. Both had poor presentation, were thin and fell apart/crumbled easily. Nothing unique about the taste. The didn’t have a lot of cookie options when we went and we didn’t feel like spending $14 for 8 of the same cookies. I would recommend a cookie sampler bag. I’d also recommend allowing at least 2 ice cream samples (they didn’t offer any), as it kept me from buying ice cream.

We purchased a dozen cupcakes (two flavors - chocolate strawberry and snickerdoodle) over the phone for our wedding. They were helpful with us initially canceling our order in October - we received a gift card for the value of the cupcakes that did not expire - and we reordered for our new date in June. The person I spoke with over the phone was helpful and was as accommodating as possible since we didn't realize the shop was closed on Wednesdays. Pickup was easy and all of the cupcakes looked great. The cupcakes tasted great, too, although we definitely preferred the taste of the chocolate strawberry ones over snickerdoodle.

Birthday Cake Disappointment! I ordered a layer cake for my daughter’s birthday. The order was placed 24 hours in advance, and the baker agreed to make it for the next day. The order was paid in full, including a tip for the baker. I arrived at the appointed pick up time to find that the cake had not been made. The counter person was kind and provided a few cupcakes and cake slices. It was very unprofessional to not provide the services agreed to and paid for.

This is a lovely little bake shop. Everything is organic for all you health freaks out there. Went in and got some ice cream after skiing. I know. Who wants ice cream at a time like that? This guy. Anyways, I had the strawberry ice cream and it took me right back to my childhood like it came right out of the homemade ice cream maker. I wanted to try the white hot chocolate but they make it from scratch and it takes like 15 minutes. I’m sure it’s worth the wait…I just couldn’t. Went in for dessert after dinner at Dish Bistro which is only like two doors down. 9 out of 10…would do again.everything in this place looked delicious.

Very high prices and lacking quality.Asked what an 8-bag of cookies cost and they said $14. When I was rung up the actual price was $16.97. Not quite sure where the extra $$ came from (no sales tax is not that high :).Anyway. Very disappointing cookies, and given the ludicrously high price it is quite a bad deal.

We were visiting Mammoth for my son’s birthday and came in to this shop for a custom order. We were told we needed 24hrs notice we were giving them 23hrs and they refused to help us. Told us to pop in the next day for fresh cakes first come first serve. We came in the next day at opening to the same rude behavior. Absolutely nothing seemed fresh and she then said she could make us cupcakes fresh and have them ready in two hours or less. We picked up the order it was wrong and the cupcakes looked and tasted day old. For $4 a cupcake this place is a joke. Just go to the grocery store for a fraction of the cost. I don’t mind unprofessional behavior if the product is amazing. This place is by far the worst cupcakes I’ve ever experienced.

I do want to give this shop props as being the only cake shop in Mammoth and also the fact that they use organic ingredients but that’s where the greatness ends. We visited Mammoth this weekend for my husband’s birthday. We always travel for his birthday and I usually bring a cake from any of the amazing cake shops in our native Reno but because we were traveling for as long as we were, I didn’t want to risk a cake going bad so opted to try something new. My initial contact with Dessert’d was fine despite the sticker price shock ($57 for a 6 inch cake). Day of pick up, I waited patiently for the call or text that was promised however when I had not heard from the shop by 5 pm, i texted the number provided as per instructions and didn’t hear back. I called the shop and learned my cake was ready with one hour to spare til closing. On our way there, I received a text back from the shop basically just telling me they would always text when the order was ready…with only an hour left to pick up. Okay, fine. The shop itself is cute but understaffed and the staff they do have really struggle in the customer service department. My initial reaction to the cake o received was underwhelm. It was a basic chocolate cake with some walnuts and coconut flakes added and was then labeled a German chocolate cake. The cake itself was dense, flavorless, and dry as can be. For nearly $60, I would have expected something that was at least sweet. I understand Dessert’d has a decent following however if you are visiting from out of town, just bring your own cake from your favorite place and skip this shop.

I wanted to be impressed. Sad to be disappointed.Consider myself a fervent lover of all things sweet related. Travel companion has watched the owner of this bakery on social media, so we decided to try it out.What a bummer! The shortbread cookies were beautiful, but everything else was terribly dry. I got a pie in a jar, which had beautiful presentation but also lacked in the taste department.Maybe the dry cookies are the aesthetic and as country bumpkins we just don't "get it"? I dunno, but am sad to say I won't be recommending their cookies in the future. Hope they can figure out a better cookie recipe!

So bummed. I ordered cupcakes and cookies for an event that I had to cancel to due health concerns. With a 2 week notice of cancellation they still charged me 20% of my order yet they only need 24 hour notice to place an order for cupcakes and cookies? I even asked if I could still support their business by using the 20% charge towards cookies and they said no. Seems a little backwards to me. I’m a local and fricken loved this place, so disappointed.

I love all the pastries here especially the pies in the jars! So good! I always make it a point to stop by and get some goodies when I’m visiting Mammoth! I definitely recommend this little shop for your pastry needs!

Website shows this place closes at 8, went in at 6:50 told be told in a very rude way they changed hours and closed at 7! My kids were excited because tons of kids outside had ice cream. Girl stated she knows online has the wrong hours. Maybe change the online hours, and lock the door so people don't enter when you are "closed"!

Yum! Sweet spot with lots of specialty treats to choose from. Quality Strauss brand ice cream, mixed on sight for uniquely delicious flavors.A scoop in a cup was $2.55 and the ice cream sandwich was $4.75 maybe a bit pricey, but a fun treat.

Quite pricey for what you get. The cookie sandwiches taste awful. My kids wouldn't even eat them. Very dry and bland. The jarred banana caramel pie was tasty but at $8 for 6 bites, I would not recommend.

Honestly I was so excited when I saw this place. I am pregnant and when I saw the sighn that said Cookie bar I was super happy. I went inside and was automatically let down, for a cookie bar I figured they would have all kinds of goodies. In the display case there were 5 diffrent cookies. That's it. In the other display case they had about 3 bags of Bark. I love pistachios so I got a bag of pistachio bark. And 6 little tiny cookies and a pumpkin pie in a jar. There were no prices except for on the little cookies. So when I saw my recipt, I was unhappy. For 5 dry falling apart cookies some pistachio and a little pumpkin pie in a jar it was 36.00. The cookies were so dry that they all fell apart in the bag. The pistachio bark, was horrible. I took 2 bites and it made me sick. I do not recommend this place at all. Very sad.

I ordered : Salted Caramel French Macaron, Chocolate Chip Sandwich Cookie, Snickerdoodle Sandwich Cookie, Caramel Florentine. I wished I would have tasted the chocolate chip cookie sandwich because it was Busch League. The snicker doodle was ok, the macaron ( I ate immediately) was not good, and the caramel Florentine was good. It was very grocery store tasting. I hate to be that guy but there just wasn’t anything to write home about. I think that’s the case with most middle price bakeries.... go hard on price or go cheaper and deliver accordingly. Mimi's cupcakes, well everything she bakes, are amazing. I am gluten free, so she made a bunch of GF cupcakes for our wedding. My husband said they tasted the same as the regular cupcakes. She runs an awesome business. She let us taste 5 different flavors of our choice (she has an extensive list of creative flavors) of both regular and GF. She was so helpful during my wedding planning process and was always very prompt about getting back to me. She delivers to your wedding site and has displays to make her work and your dessert table look so great. Go try some of her yummy food!

Camping north of Mammoth, needed son's birthday cake. Deliciousness... chocolate with chocolate frosting, three layer yumminess! We will be back next year! Sorry I didn't find you sooner! Have had a couple not as tasty cakes from other local bakers.

Mimi's Cookie Bar did our wedding and I couldnt have been more happy! Our table looked like a photo out of a bridal blog, she has such cute cake stands and pedestals for everything, i LOVED it!!! the carrot cake was absolutely amazing, and i never thought i would have carrot cake for my wedding, but Mimi's Cookie Bar changed my mind on that. We even did some gluten free items for some family that was gluten free, and we had an assortment of cupcakes, cookies, macarons and a small cake for us.also, we have been in recently and the Pies in a Jar are to DIE FOR! definitely get one of those!

Ordered a wedding cake back in November 2015 for MY January wedding. Friends showed up to pick up the cake an hour before the ceremony (the agreed upon time via telephone) to find NO CAKE had been made. Apparently the deposit wasn't enough to see a cake order through. But it was MY fault the cake wasn't made she said. No communication was attempted by MIMI to inform us of her delay - she thought she'd wait until we showed up, apparently.Wasn't even apologetic about her lack of...everything! Pointed the finger at us and blamed the lack of power for her inability to see what pending orders she had. Probably should introduce her to a pen and paper. Took 20 minutes to get an apology after we spoon-fed her the idea.But she was kind enough to waive the delivery fee (approx. $200) on our special day for the cake that wasn't made at the time she agreed to have ready for the people who were sent on our behalf, who paid the balance with their own money because she didn't have the credit card info she had on file at the time of the deposit.Terrible business practices.But it worked out, the cake was smothered on my face in classic wedding fashion, but it had to be done twice because it was so dry it didn't smother well.Maybe she can use those delivery fees she collects and put them towards business classes. Terrible experience.

The ice cream was great!! Wish they had more variety of frozen yogurt and some fresh fruit toppings or granola. They also should put a sign up advertising they have frozen yogurt and ice cream on hot days I would have never known they had any if I hadn't googled it first. People are very nice there!!

Went for gluten free items, no breads but have about 6 dessert/snack items that were tasty and not exorbitantly priced. Staff was very pleasant and helpful and no wait! I would have rated 5 if they had more gf options (and bread?) And admittedly I could not rate most of their items.

Terrible business practices, overpriced for desserts that are basic at best. Unfortunate that Mammoth still doesn't have a great place to buy a cake. Anyone know ANYWHERE to get a gourmet cake up here? This is clearly not the place....Makes Vons look like a decent choice.

My mom (whose favorite thing in the world is pecan pie) said their Pecan Pie we ordered for Thanksgiving was the best pecan pie she's ever had. And at 77, she's tried A LOT of pecan pies.I tried it, and it was fantastic.

Extremely poor customer service from business owner who was more interested in Caucasian customers. Completely ignored and never served. One star for their ice cream which is very good and gluten free, but will never give them my business again.
