Forgot his name, started with "M," a tall pleasant young man - asked if he could help me shortly after I came in, and gave me very helpful information regarding some specific purchases for my recently adopted dog - dig food supplements and dental preventive care products.He was exceptionally knowledgeable about the items I needed for my German Shepherd mix, and cordial.Then, the cashier helped me with information about the grooming department, and helped me to make my first appointment.Impressive service!

I'm truly disappointed with their grooming service. Despite being told it would take 3 hours due to my puppy's first visit, they called later, claiming my puppy was scared of the blow dryer and uncooperative. It's confusing, as my puppy is fine with blow drying at home. What was the point of bringing her to them if they couldn't handle the job properly? They only washed and cleaned her, charging $50, and it wasn't worth it. I feel let down.

Really bad service…We took our pet on Sunday for grooming service and on the next day we saw that he had some ticks.. we took him directly that day and told us that the grooming manager will be available the next dayOn the next day we went in early and told us that they couldn’t do nothing because seriously it could happen to any dogVery bad services

Bathrooms have mold and smell very badly. Customer service is poor depending on who is working, sadly the rude employees ruin it for everyone. We try to go to other stores out side of town when possible.

This is the dirtiest petco I have ever been in. The floors have never been swept or mopped and the bathrooms are disgusting.

They are nice customer service and they have mostly live reptile food and it seems like they take care of the animals good and the place is clean and fancy I recommend going to this Petco in Madera because it's the only pet shop around here.

Took my dog for the first time to get groomed at this location. I usually go to Fresno locations because for the longest time madera had no groomers. Customer service was very low. The groomer didn't seem to be happy to be doing what she was doing I felt like I got additude and assumptions on how I care for my dog. I had a feeling that the grooming job was not going to be up to par.And yup when I picked him up it wasn't what I'm used to getting from other petco locations.his haircut and blow dry wasnt a professional $90 job. His nails were cut but jagged and not buffed(what I paid for). When I got there to pay and pick him up there was no one in sight no cashier no groomers, there was a lady who was in line said she was there for 10 minutes she was looking up and down the isles for a employee and no one around. Someone finally came out. He to was not so customer service oriented. This review is only for the Madera location.

I was looking for cat toys and did not see any. Headed up to the front with my hubby and while we were discussing not find any toys, the cashier ACTUALLY showed us where they were and recommended the cat tunnels. And let me tell you the fosters I have are insane about them... I really appreciate the time she took to show and recommend. This was above and beyond what wasn't even asked for.

Took my dog to get groomed he came dirtier then when it dropped him off the groomers were extremely rude on drop off an pick up my dogs nails are not trimed like i paid for his ears are dirtier then i dropped him off and I had to go on to the back to get my dog cux my french bull dog the nicest dog on this planet didnt trust them anymore AFTER ONE ENCOUNTER IF YOU LOVE YOUR DOGS DONT COME TO MADERA PETCO! THEY ARE EVIL NONE PET LOVERS! THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!

Decent selection and prices, guy at the front counter didn't enjoy that we grabbed a couple items that we then wanted to put back and replace with another. Doesn't say a word the second time we come up even after my wife thanks him and tells him to have a good day. Also tried to charge me for a 1.00 bag of treats for a 0.25 bag.

It's always a pleasure to visit here. The checkouts are quick and simple with no hassle, alongside the friendly staff. A much wider variety of pet food and accessories than places like Wal-Mart. I'm always thankful for the coupons I'm provided when generously given some through promotional mail.

Prices online by chain are not accurately depicted in this store. Additionally, store hours from 10am to 6pm are a joke, I think this store is literally trying to put themselves out of business. Amazon shouldn't be a better option than locally available.

The only thing we didn't like is the bathroom... it has to be replaced, like the WC seats... my daughter couldn't pee because she thought it was disgusting... other from that the store is super nice!
