I love the lytle Creek area. I brought my kids here when they were little to pick the wild blackberries. It's still a good place but it's getting a little bit run down now. There's a lot of trash everywhere. It's a great place to escape the heat in the summertime if you get there early enough.

Excellent small place to spend a quiet afternoon. Hardly anyone on a weekday. The sound of the stream is a nice way to relax and get away from any stress you have going on.

Very beautiful and romantic place! Sit in the spring/creek water.. relax!! Hang a hammock and sleep in the woods, next to crystal clear creek water. You can even walk in water trail... There are picnic tables and barbeque stations available!

Loved this place. My daughter got to release trout. The park rangers were very nice.

This is no glamping, it's small, rustic, the toilets are latrines.... lots of people park on the side of the roads to get to the river, and you still have to have a permit $5 (you have to buy it at the gas station or rangers office). I rather go to the picnic area, plenty of trees cement tables with benches and grills, they close the gate when it gets full.Great to have an adventure with your family!Applewhite is the small camp site almost across the road, we like it very much, it could have some TLC, no need for reservation, walk ins $10 per night, (flushable toilets with paper, bring your own soap, no showers) you can walk to the river picnic area, if you drive you still need the permit

Great place to come and escape the busy city life. There is no cell reception unless you have Verizon. The Picnic area is a long parking strip that runs along side a small ankle deep creek. The creek is 95% covered with shade from trees. The water can be cold at times. Its a place my family and I enjoy returning to as much as possible. Dont forget to buy your $5 day pass (required to park in the forest) you can buy it at Melody's market / Bar / restaurant. There is a marked white cross walk on the ground right in front of the store.

Parking pass required. Purchase available at gate entry point or at Ranger Station 3 miles before picnic area on the right side of the road. Active military annual passes, 4th grader passes, and veteran lifetime passes also available at Ranger Station for free.Area is right on the creek, no hiking required. Parking availability is decent, wasn't crowded at all on a Sunday. Rangers do patrol the lot and will ticket vehicles without passes. The creek current is pretty heavy, smaller children definitely need adults to help cross and supervise playing. Small community BBQs are available.Restrooms are shared men/women. They're very wet, slippery, smelly, and nasty. I recommend using restrooms prior to entering picnic area, bringing portable children potty's, or going into town. 0/10 rating for restroom cleanliness.

Very pretty place along the stream to relax and picnic. Plenty of easy parking and decent bathrooms. The area needs more shade trees, though, esp. near the picnic tables.

A good place to cool off during spring and summer just be careful when the river turns rapid after the snow melts.

Always have fun in the stream. Great way to get away from the heat. Put a camping chair in the water while your feet soak. The kids love getting wet. Hours pass by like nothing and get home in the evening when sun is down.

8/9/22"Caution!!" A lot of robbery here. Robbers break car windows and steal while you're away. It's near the brook and many people, children playing loud in the water so not really noticeable even they break something in the parking lot. Car alarm is not helping either, because it may not be heard in these situations.

Pretty neat here. The little creek is surrounded by lots of trees. It's a nice spot to relax and grill. Gives kids hours and hours to play in the creek. I just wish there were better restroom facilities.

Love this easy drive, only about 20 mins. off the freeway. Great for kids. Use the restroom before you arrive if possible, there are facilities on site but they aren't pleasant.

Kids had a blast in the creek. Nice bbq setup and shade under the trees. Take toilet paper for the restrooms and do not take any loose items. The toilet is a septic hole! You can get a $5 wilderness parking pass at the AMPM at the bottom of the road before you head up. If not you face a potential $300 ticket.

There's plenty of parking to be had and restrooms scattered throughout. The creek itself is shallow enough to wade through without much effort and there are picnic tables along its length.

Friendly staff, make sure to get a parking pass. You have to be gone before 5: because they lock the gate.

The place is clean. However, not enough parking on weekends. The care taker (old male white and old female white) park employee is very prejudice and racist towards non-caucasians people. A old male white made false advertisement about park rules.he also blames other people for their mess I was a victim of his false that statement unitl I call the park ranger supervisor who he help us.
