What an amazing place. The river store and Dan-the owner- has built an awesome community around being on the river. The store itself has everything you need to get out and have a good time. What I find most awesome are the great potlucks, sales, and dealer events that these guys put on. You feel like family when you go here, especially during those events where you can enjoy great food and company and pick up some awesome gear. This is like the Miguel’s pizza of whitewater.

The best and only spot in the area to buy or rent river gear. From kayaking to river boards, this store is well stoked with all you need to get on the river. I've heard great things about their kayaking lessons!

Ran the American River Triathlon today. Totally spaced and didn't bring a life preserver. They gave me one for free so I could participate (they didn't have to do that). Good people. I'll only rent from them if i'm on the river

Was just browsing the store while one of our group was shopping for a pfd. She found just what she was looking for and was very happy with the selection. While I was browsing, I found a great shirt. Wasn't seriously looking for anything but was very happy with what I found. Also very happy to support a small business.

If you are looking for solid advice on the local river scene this is the place to go. They have everything you need from rentals, to equipment, to flow info and classes. They're always stoked to help and talk about boating no matter what your skill level is. It's also great because there are always solid local boaters stopping by for a visit so you can bounce ideas off of the local experts.

We have been stopping by on almost every river trip. We got our kayaks and gear, took classes and buy ice cream. They know the sport and all the equipment and can help outfit you based on what you want. They get to know you and your style. I am always happy to go back.
