This is not only the best place to see the flowing river, but it is also a great dog walking course. Also can walking through trail road to can pass the bridge to grab a coffee and walked back.There is a very wide lawn, so I often play ball with my dog.Strongly recommend

Great river access and decent bathrooms! This a a large park great for walks picnic or putting your boat in the water. Lots of parking and safe place to let the dogs out and run. They even have electric car chargers.

There are some nice shady spots along the south bank. There were lots of rafts and kayaks going down the river.There are picnic tables by the parking lot too. It's very peaceful here.

Beautiful park! Perfect place to have a soccer game! Pay to park with plenty of parking spaces, bathrooms are kept up, river access next to park, fresh air, lots of open space! Just all around a perfect place to spend time with family for any event!

A perfect place to rest and play! Plenty of parking, room to launch and load rafts and kayaks, an outlet for air pumps, picnic tables, BBQs, clean bathrooms, green grass, a big rental room for events, and a trail that leads up the river. Very family friendly and the season pass is only $20.

Two ball fields ( with lights ) across the road .playground and bathroomsNew trails also..Please respect the landscape ,wildlife , and each other...ENJOY

nice park. bathrooms are clean. it's got lots of hiking trails along the south fork of the American River. I would highly recommend for dog walks or family outings.

We were only there for the water. Large grass field. Has many different table areas, a place to dump hot coal, boat launching, bathrooms.Water is too fast for me and my family. Life jackets are a must. Many holes on the side banks for privacy. We enjoyed our stay

Beautiful and secluded. This part of the American river is in the picturesque foothills adjacent to Coloma state park. The weather is usually warm and very little wind allows for a perfect place to spend the day with family, friends and even the family pets. The water is chilly but refreshing during the hot days of summer. Free to park if you know where to go. Just look for the cars parked off of lotus road and hwy 49.

Went rafting down the river for the first time. We did the 21 mile run and it was amazing. I personally had such a blast and can't wait for another run.

Such a great find! Easy in and out. Although water shoes would be helpful walking on all the rocks. Great spot. Has bathrooms. Lots of parking. Beautiful.

Beautiful park. Five dollar admission. Great acess to river. Water is calm and right by picnic benches. You can walk right into the river. Great for young kids. Lots of tables have shade trees over them. Plenty of parking.

Very nice and awesome area to spend a quality day in the nature.It has a nice field for lot of activities and lot of grills for barbeque. There is a fee of$ 5.00 for the day use with quite enough parking spaces for cars and trailers if you would like to bring your kayaks. The restrooms are clean and well maintained.We really enjoyed today being there.

I love Lotus Park. My dog loves to run and jump in the water. Evenings, there is not many people right now, so it's nice to walk and let her have a little freedom. There are BBQ pits green grassy area right by the river banks

Great meditation area. The water was cold this time of year but definitely worth going in.Restrooms: Restrooms are easy to find and convenient with plumbing.Dog-friendliness: Definitely an animal friendly area, the ducks are wonderful too.Picnic area: Picnic tables in nice shaded areas, fun for the whole family.

One of the best spots in El Dorado county to have a picnic or group gathering. Huge open field. Paved track around the whole park. Covered patio area. Plus it's next to the river.

Worth the trek from Sacramento, this park is amazing, friendly and best of both worlds for your pet, large grassy area and river side fun too. Also can grill close to the river! It's always been super clean when we visited and worth the $18 for the annual pass.

Fun place to bring the kids to take a dip in the river. Easy access. Plenty of parking. Nice grassy grounds. Walking, playing, paddling, room for all the fun. The river is cold until late summer but so refreshing to dip your toes into. Another beautiful location in el Dorado county.

Beautiful shady areas to stay cool in while watching the kids play or the rafters coming down the American River on the South Fork headed towards the Gorge. Playgrounds, picnic tables, BBQs etc. Fun and relaxing for all.

Great place for family get togethers but get there early to get a pavilion. And bring a bbq. We were unable to find one. :)
