I recently had the most incredible experience at Petco that I just had to share. While browsing for pet supplies, I was greeted by an exceptionally kind and helpful employee named Sandra. Not only did they assist me in finding everything I needed, but they also went above and beyond to ensure I had the best shopping experience possible.What truly touched me was Sandra’s genuine care and concern for both me and my pet. They took the time to listen to my concerns and provided valuable advice and recommendations. Their knowledge and passion for animals were evident, and it made all the difference.But what truly sets her apart is their extraordinary kindness. They not only helped me with my immediate needs but also took the time to educate me about proper pet care and nutrition. I was there to buy some chemical treatments for my fish tanks and ended up getting some kuhli loaches as extra. John helped me a lot. He admitted he's new and not familiar with caching these loaches, but he tried his best, and I can see his effort. John is nice and he has a lot more room for improvement. Somewhat disappointed choosing this place as the go-to for my dog's first set of vaccines. The vet tech was obviously irritable, made multiple snide remarks to my partner and about my dog, and continued talking about my dog after we went on to pay. The worker who was checking in people was wonderful, and the other vet tech seemed to have more professionalism and was the one who held my dog down with the patience and compassion the other tech lacked. Additionally, the cashier had a great attitude that somewhat helped take my mind off the bad experience. If it weren't for 3 other employees who actually made this a tolerable experience, this review would be a 0, but one bad seed isn't enough to sour the complete experience. However, I don't think I'll be coming back.

Went here to look at the animals and all the employees were great. One of the cats pissed me off and almost made me freak. Never coming back if that cat is there. But otherwise this place is great and has a large selection of items. Might shop her for my dog if I’m in the area.

Friendly, efficient and reassured me that if my cat wasn't happy with the choice of food I could return it within 30 days for credit. All sales are kept track with my phone number so I don't need a paper receipt.

Groomer shaved my dog. She told he had mat all over my dog's body although it was not. I will share my dog's photos before and after. When called and asked why they did this, she started yelling at me over the phone cursing me and telling me to read fine print. Although she had not told us earlier that they are gonna shave our dog and they did. This is a pathetic service and would never go for dog grooming ever. If I could give negative stars I would!

Didn't have anyone around to help with snake specific questions as a new owner, and information given to me was pretty dated. Transport options for it (ie: a box it could stick its head out of) wasn't great either, but it's otherwise a fine Petco. Returns were fast and easy, though the catnip that I bought from there was a bit sad, it already perished 😂

I usually come here for fish and other aquarium-related needs. The guys working in that section are great and super knowledgeable. I can’t comment on other sections of the store, but if you need fish, some ghost shrimp for your tank or a more rare blue lobster, this is a great spot.

As a disabled senior who relays on services that depend on timely delivery of the items we need. Had it set on automatic delivery for a few months without any issues.This past time it was horrible and I am STILL waiting for my order…. I called and asked why they didn’t deliver but seemed to charge me for the order that they didn’t deliver. Not s huge thing if you don’t live on fixed income and got around easy…. They were bad, non caring and offer no help or anything for their HUGE blunder. After my product still hasn’t arrived after 5 days they have told me they ran out of my pre ordered product (stocked item) and though no attempt was ever made to refund or correct it. Was told sorry nothing we can do.What a joke. You get charged and yet no product has been delivered yet…. Horrible service horrible customer service and NO compassion for customers who have been waiting for days for their order product.With so many pet stores why be a number that doesn’t matter for you are just that here!Avoid this place for the good of your pets as they don’t care

Love coming here, come here on the regular to pick up cat food. When I came in the other day the staff was dealing with an absolute Karen of a customer who had no idea how to park and left dog pee everywhere. The staff handled them professionally and courteously and had the mess cleaned up very quickly, definitely saints working there. Would definitely recommend this location.

This Petco is clean and well stocked. The one downside is that it is understaffed s sometimes you have to wait for assistance, especially as it pertains to purchasing rodent, reptile, avian or aquatic pets. Sometimes the fishtanks are under quarantine.

Alex helped me pick out some grooming products and the store brand shampoo, his tips and patience were very helpful, took the time to understand my problem and find a solutions/suggestions for me.He even had the groomer, Cynthea, come help to give further advice and recommendations. I will definitely be bringing my dog in for grooming! She has me very interested in their new vital care program, explained the benefits and how it not only pays for itself… but encourages you take your animals to the vet. The program will help lower the costs of future grooms, my food purchases, and vet exams. I’m not one to like being sold products in that fashion, but they truly care about my pets and made it clear that they wouldn’t sell me this program if they didn’t believe it would save me money!Caring and wonderful team at this location. Made a very loyal customer out of me!

Came in while on vacation visiting family and brought their dogs in for grooming. They got me in and out, no issues and the dogs looked much better. Figured I'd shop around while I was waiting and the customer service was remarkable. The shelves were stocked full and the place was very clean. All the pet cages and aquariums looked very clean and the animals seemed very happy. Hats off to you all for the cleanliness during this pandemic. Honestly, hands down the best Petco ever.

I have been receiving excellent customer service consistently from aquatic expert, Max. He is highly knowledgeable about all kinds of fish and aquatic plants- everything from identifying them and knowing how to care for them. He is always so nice and helpful that I have purchased many products from him. All the tanks and their fishes in this store are exceptionally well-cared for. This Petco store has become my favorite “to go” place for all my fish care needs. Many thanks to Max.

I absolutely love this Petco! Close to work and a great thorough selection, you really can't beat it. Sometimes parking can feel a little tight but patience is a virtue. Service is friendly and you get your daily dose of cute at check out when adorable kittens stare at you begging to come home!

Clean, well stocked store with friendly staff. My kids and I call it the Los Gatos zoo! They have a cool assortment of fish and reptiles, mice, guinea pigs and birds. Sometimes we'll stop in just to look at them. They carry pretty much everything you need to care for your animals. And good advice and tips from the knowledgeable staff. Be sure to check the clearance bin at the front of the store, next to the registers. It's also a good place if you're looking to rescue a kitty, they always have some on display in front and they run adoption clinics regularly. More than ample parking, great location. Glad they opened! We'll be back next week for crickets for my daughter's lizard!

I ordered online after your store had closed. My order was ready before the store opened. I was unable to pick my order up for 2 days due to my work schedule. I walked in and the team member was very friendly and courteous. She handed my order off and I was in and out in less than a minute. Thank you for your service!! We always shop Petco for this reason and during a pandemic your team member and your system were amazing.

Staff is friendly and do seem to be on top of caring for their pets in the store.I visited the store to look at their fish selection. This is the 3rd time I have visited and observed tanks in quarantine. The particular species I was looking at had one fish that wasn't swimming right and on prior visits I observed unhealthy specimens with other species I was interested in. I decided not to purchase any fish as to not bring a disease into my aquarium at home and will probably not be going back to Petco for fish because a hospital tank seems like a requirement.Three stars because the staff is on top of caring for their animals and seem to be doing everything they can to help. Petco needs a better supplier for their fish or better quarantine procedures. This store is making the best of the situation and if you do have a hospital tank they have a reasonable return policy and the staff is great. Far better than Pet Smart as far as knowledge and customer service go.

The associates in the store directed me right to what I needed, were very friendly and helpful. One young lady was working on another task in the fish section, but immediately stopped what she was doing to help and walked me over to the product I was in search of. Great customer service!

I always am greeted by happy enthusiastic employees in downtown Los Gatos Petco. The store is clean and easy to find everything and more for my feline friends. I always leave with more then I planned. I recently bought a new brand of canned food that did not agree with one of my cats and I was able to bring back the unused portion to exchange for another brand in hopes this will be agreeable for my cats. Store staff was positive, polite and helpful.
