I love LOVE LOVE this store! I go here more than Home Depot! I especially love the excellent customer service I receive whenever I enter the store! From walking in, I see familiar faces like LUIS and MARCUS. These two especially know how to treat their customers, as I'm sure all the customer care team does, but those two stand out to me because they've helped me a lot with my needs.I am thankful for a hardware store like this in my area that is very helpful and has everything I need. I would recommend this store over any hardware store in this area!

I'll give the quick story. I needed a screw for my cpu. Although this is a home improvement store and I needed a random screw for my cpu fan, I went here because it's close. I didn't know the size and I got some help from one of the people at this place. It should be more obvious to people who are better with tools how to get exactly what you want, but not me. They were helpful, I got what I wanted, and it was cheap and easy.

I have been coming to this spot for years. I could probably get lower prices at big box stores but their prices are definitely reasonable particularly considering that you can actually get service here. The staff are very friendly and they will actually help you. If you are working on a larger project they have knowledgeable staff who will help walk you through it if necessary. They have a nice selection of stock, there's been very little that I've needed that I couldn't get at this store. And it's just great to have a store like this in the community and in the vicinity of my neighborhood so I definitely prefer shopping and supporting here.

J, the store supervisor help me with the smallest request. I, needed a bolt threaded screw and he took the time to walk me to the location where their hardware department is at and even located the part and bag it for me so I, can make a easy purchase.True vaule is a great store to buy your local home or apartment hardware material.Great customer service!!5 stars

This place is great. Truly helpful. Friendly. They know their stuff - and I’m not just talking about which aisle has what. They can advise you on what you need for which project and give you tips on achieving the best result. I’ve even used their window screen service: Fast, well-made and very reasonable. And if they don’t have something in stock, they’ll get it for you. If you really want expertise and personalized service, this is the place.

I've never had a problem with this store. I've even return items with no problems. It's convent and has reasonable prices. The staff is helpful and courteous. I've been able to find what I've needed most of the time with the exception of one item. I wish they carry Wink rust remover. It's a hard to find product to which I've had to travel as far as 19 miles for it but recently found closer within five miles. I live less than 1 miles from this store. Other than that I would rate 5 stars.

I went in the to get some shower handles and the gentleman named Marcus was very helpful. Gave me the correct ones and even mentioned how I was supposed to install it or what to expect and gave me a demonstration. Way better than going to the big stores . Will definitely be supporting this community store again. I hope they get rewarded with every compliment they get. Thanks

There when I need it. This store will never be the cheapest hardware store your gonna visit nor should it be. What they o they do well for a fare price and is really the neighborhood hardware store I love this store because I have always been able to find what I needed, hard to believe in a small place but it is true. The sales team is quick and they know there stuff unlike some big box chains. From my experience the car keys with chips are also very cheap compared to the competition.

Excellent Service. Came in for a gate control. I had looked it up at Home Depot for about $25 dollars more. So i stoped by True Value . Plus they have remarkable of items at great prices

Similar to Home Depot, but on a smaller scale.Two friendly and polite employees offered to help me while I shopped around.Stocks were well organized.Prices were almost the same as those in Home Depot.Street Parking only.

I have shopped here off and on since I moved to the area in 1990. The owner, Ron, also manages the store and is always available to help customers personally. The other staff are all good people too and enjoy one another, which makes buying from them that much more pleasant. (stark comparison to a Harbor Freight hardware store in Arcadia, where the cashier and another store clerk visibly and audibly did not want to be there... and the attitude was reflected in their treatment of customers)Whether I was a kid out of college trying to repair a toilet, or a new husband trying to install window screens and blinds, or a new father babyproofing my apartment, or a semi-pro contractor helping to build a house, at every stage these guys have had the answers (and almost always the stuff) I needed.Can't recommend them highly enough. if you want to support family-owned small businesses, or local businesses, or businesses that are a positive influence on their community-- shop here.(and no, I am not and have never worked for Ron! He doesn't even know I'm giving him props. Be sure to tease Blanca about something (anything) next time you're there.)

The BEST customer service ever. The personnel are very, very knowledgeable about their items, which is great if you're looking for a "thing that goes here and there". Blanca is amazing, she is a walking book of knowledge.

I strongly don't recommend going to this hardware store. I went on a Saturday afternoon to have 2 windows screen made.In advance,I told the guy in the front desk, if he garantee me they do professional work. Very madly he responded YES!I told this guy that I just don't want to come back twice, fight traffic and that it happened to me in the past before. So I gave him my screen dimensions.He told me to pick them up at 4 pm on same Saturday. I gave them plenty of time and pick them up on Monday afternoon.So I went in to the store and on one screen the measurements were wrong and the 2 creens wereBend badly.I found out that this guy in the front desk happened to be the store owner. He is a rude miserable white guy, bald headed and with a temper.He tried to convinced me that the screens can be force push in onto the window. I told him, that's notProfessional work you do,as you told me on Saturday. I told this old man, " you lied to me " very mad, he POINTED HIS FINGER on me and told me, don't call me a LIER and GET THE "F" out of my store. He immediately gave me a refund without telling meHe could fix the screens! One of his employees tried to pick up a fight with me. This Employee is a tall, young and fat Hispanic guy. Also a Hispanic old female employee told me I could force in the screens on the windows. This lady is a manager. From the background, I heard a young worker saying, that's why I don't like to work on the window department.To me, it seems this old miserable store owner have all his employees intimidated !! It's also hard to find parking !!

They are really friendly and helpful. I went in to oder a window screen and the lady blanca was very helpful and explained to me things I didn't understand. And while walking around looking for other things I needed the workers there just ask if you need help no need to be looking for them.

My husband took in a window frame which I broke the glass on Sunday morning. He was told it would be ready by 4pm. I go pick it up only to be told it was not ready, and that would be ready the next day. I rush over after work again to only be told it was still not fixed. One of the salesperson (with an attitude) tells me he had called and left a message for my husband but that we never returned the call. Basically blaming it on us for not checking our messages and not returning the call. They bring the window out with the glass in place and tell me the rubber part of it is not fitting well. Why would they even try to fix a window if they can’t do it. One of the cashiers even tells another customer that she is waiting on the employee but that he always goes to the back and does nothing to help when it comes to things that become his fault. To be more specific she said (se va para atrás a hacerse pendejo) Very unprofessional staff

Small owned business that has been in the community for over 30 years and still provides the best quality of items that others have like home depot .bust this place is located 3 blocks from USC on Vermont and 29th.and they have everything you need.Most friendly service you will get.from anywhere anytime.they always help you and like doing so.Don't ask the people at home depot.they just point and then disappear.They also rent carry carpet shampoo machines.Don't like driving far. Give them a visit they even repair old or broken screens.Steve

Also the staff at this place are very helpfull and great customer service. They have everything you need in home repair needs they even make keys vehicle keys even. Well I've been to this true value a few times over the years and i have never ever had a bad experience here the staff there are great,, friendly, and the prices are cool..well stocked. I think.. they even had spray disinfectant not lysol but pledge just as good...thats what i went for..good service..thats what everyone likes... thank teue value😊😊

I own some properties around this store. Figure I would shop locally for some supplies to touch up a building.Never seen such miserable people work so slow attempting to help me find things as if I was ruining their day by asking where I could find some drill bits, brushes and other stuff I needed to refreshen my property.Even the cashier was some grumpy guy that just mumbled a hello.I will stay a loyal customer to home depot for now on.

West Adams is a great neighborhood because of places like Vermont True Value .The staff is always helpful. When we're doing any kind of work around our house, they're part of the team, three minutes away and there with what we need.

Inflated prices and trash customer service. Waited for a full 20 minutes while an employee repeatedly radioed for customer assistance on aisle 9. No one ever came. Plenty of other hardware store options nearby.
