I’m extremely let down by these people. They sold me a 20lb bag of MOLDY high quality food, and when I brought it back to find a solution, they said they don’t have the same flavor and if I wanted the only other flavor I’d have to pay $10 more. They’ve also raised their prices by $9 over the course of two months. Extremely disappointing after all the money I’ve given this store. Now I have to run all over town trying to locate a bag of this food for my large breed puppy with a sensitive stomach, so he doesn’t get sick. So upset with this place now.

Michael and Nick were so welcoming and helpful. I came in looking for senior cat food. Mine have been so picky lately! Michael listened to my story… walked me through all of the cat foods available and then let me be. Excellent customer service & feels great to support a small business.

My husband and I have been going to Rock Dog and Cat for all of our dog Zula’s treats and food for over a year now. There’s a great selection of options, and we love seeing Neil and Mike every time we go in. I feel very well taken care of each time I go, and as long as we live in the area this will be our go-to shop!

I've only ever came here to get the smartbatchdog freeze dried dog food. Every time I've came here he's given me a hateful vibe. Condescending in explaining how to work the dog wash system, I let it pass. Not signing me up for a rewards program account, but signing up my partner, I let it pass. I finally get signed up with my own phone number by his female associate and she explains to me the rewards program. She scans the same items I always get and says I can collect points that equate to money off. Cool, I spend about $100 bucks a month on these. Several months down the line, I decide to go pick up the food instead of my partner. Peter not only ignores my existence. But proceeds to help someone who wasn't waiting in line but still looking at products. The woman tells Peter, he can service me first since I'm ready and she's still looking. Peter barely acknowledged my existence and tries to make conversation because he knows why he ignored me in the first place. My partner is standing right behind me while this is happening. Peter doesn't ask for rewards phone number (as expected) and acts like my purchase doesn't qualify for the rewards. He then SIGNS FOR ME ON MY PURCHASE BEFORE ENTERING THE NUMBER SO I CAN'T USE MY REWARD OR GARNER MY POINTS. As a person of color, I've experienced this type of passive behavior. I know where I'm not wanted. If you experience any passive aggressive hate here, just know you aren't alone in how you feel.

Store has great toys, treats and other pet supplies. Very helpful staff, really helps you to find what you need. Far prefer Rock Dog and Cat to massive stores like Petco/Petsmart, where there is an overwhelming amount of products and very little help finding what you need.

Went in casually browsing for a new toy for my dog. I was amazed at the variety and quality of the items they offer! They sell toys that are both extremely high quality and hard-to-find. The sales clerk that helped us was very helpful, friendly, and informative. Overall, a gem of a place that offers both basic and specialty dog/cat supplies. Great for any pet owner with special needs of any kind!

I knew Rock Dog & Cat was a superlative well-stocked/curated local SoCal gem, but the level of care and knowledge their staff exuded went well above my expectations. These guys are awesome! Great selection of quality dog and cat foods. Very reasonable prices, plus excellent customer service. They also have a great toy selection for your dog- including some really smart/long lasting ones. Plus, they keep your purchase history, so you never have to remember what food your dog did or didn't like and they can give you solid, objective feedback on any product in their store.

Really love this store, very affordable and friendly staff (they remember me and my dog even though we just started going there). Another great perk is they provide free local delivery (sometimes same day if you call early enough, I once called to place a late order and they were really accomodating in getting it out that day even though I told them it was no big deal). Whenever I am on the phone and have questions about their inventory they never make me feel like they're rushing to get me off the phone even though they always have customers in the store -- just overall fantastic customer service. Please, support your small local business.

Love this little shop! I call in my order often and it feels like they remember me. You can walk into the store, call in an order and have it outside waiting for you or they can bring it to your car. So helpful especially since I have a toddler.

I just started going here during quarantine, and every time I go I have such personalized service that I will never go anywhere else. The people working there truly care about animals, and will take as much time as is needed for you to feel confident that you are giving the best care to your beloved pet. This is our go-to (and only) place to buy food and supplies for our four-legged family member. Pete and his staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. We love that they keep a record of what we buy so we don't have to remember which food our dog likes. We'll be checking out the self-serve bath shop soon.

The folks here are incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about what they do. They've put a lot of time in their store and put a lot of time in their customers. Perfect place to give your dog a bath yourself. Only 15$ ..they provide the soap, an anti-flea rinse, and dog conditioner. As well as brushes and a professional dryer. My pup came out salon beautiful and it took less than 20mns . I'll be back again and again for this. It's totally worth it
